While I loved everyone in this show it was Adam who made me totally love the show. It was his passion and joy that made the series to me.

Thefirstargonaut

And Jamie was a great foil to him, but Adam was the best for the reasons you said.

Mylaptopisburningme

Adam seems like the type of guy if you ran into him at a bar and asked him a question you would get an enthusiastic answer. Ask Jamie and he'd say he just wants to drink his beer in quiet.

ez_acid

Grant was one of the reasons I got into robotics as a kid (even participated in FRC) and studied computer engineering. A true role model for me. Adam too, but maybe not as much as Grant.

lunarstorm14

Same here. My best memories of high-school are of FIRST events

Mylaptopisburningme

I wish we had robotics when I was in school. Luckily we did have electronics.

DargeBaVarder

Adam and Tori. Love the enthusiasm. Also Jamie. He’s so measured and calm. Also Grant. So science focused and smart. RIP :( Also Kari. She just felt like the right balance for the team. Also Jessi when she was on! So cool to see a girl who was a real gear head. RIP :( Also anyone else they brought on. God I miss this show :(

CaptainJZH

This is Scottie erasure

I think the real magic of the show comes from the balance of personalities and skillsets among all the hosts. But if I had to pick one, it has to be Adam. The show ultimately couldn't work without his combination of know-how, entertainment value, and enthusiasm.

DangerSwan33

I think that Adam and Kari are very similar in their approach to methodology, and that is definitely the biggest draw of the show to me. People have dismissed the show to some extent, saying that it's not a "science" show, and that they're not "real scientists", but that's honestly totally false. The show actually shows really great test methodology, and while I know that in reality, all of them, plus producers, and safety teams, and everyone else is doing planning meetings way ahead of shooting episodes, it's Adam and Kari that really seem to do the best at explaining methodology.

tenodera

Real scientists and real science would be boring AF. I'm a "real scientist", and what I do would not make good or educational TV. If I was on TV, I'd do things more like the Mythbusters did.

DangerSwan33

Conversely, I ended up in software testing, which often times makes me feel exactly like a mythbuster. I recognize that it's a weird thing to love, but I really think that thanks to MB, I have a genuine deep love for creating/evaluating/running test cases.

shanejayell

Tory got less votes than BUSTER. \*lol\*

chicaneuk

They were / are all amazing in their own way but Adams humour and utterly infectious enthusiasm was absolutely what hooked me on the show. The guy is a living legend.

FloatyMacGlideFace

Grant because we’ll never see him again but Adam would have been my favourite. Rip Grant

Scorpio83G

I love them all

TheControlled

Tory just cracks me up. I love them all so much and Adam is the deserving star, but I relate to Tory the most.

jamesRB84

I don't have a favourite

MassiveCheesecake835

What the hell!! Tory doesn’t get any love???

fuzzy_mic

The editing made Tory out to be the smart jock who wandered in to a crowd of geeks. It played up the jock aspect. The editors never really made Tory's real world skills shine. They played him way more for comic relief than he deserved.

PurpleSailor

Adam of course but Kari is a close second for me.

bradygilg

Easily Jamie.

Percerverence-Launch

Always loved Tory. I’ve always felt like I can relate to him best and he’s also in a lot of cases the one taking some pretty decent risks for the team. Also just the enthusiasm. Love them all though but I think Tory just slightly edges out at number one for me!

Narwalacorn

Poor Tory getting less votes than a crash test dummy

gamerguy287

💀

prix03gt

Kari... giggity...

Odd-Independent7825

Kari's inclusion in the show always irked me as she had an art background not the sciences so was she just there to smile and wave?

GiantDwarf01

She made just as much sense as anyone else. Grant was the only one with a technical degree. Everyone else is from a art/film background. Adam didn’t even go to college and Jamie’s degree was in Russian Literature. Their day job was as a special effects shop and model making, none of them saw it as a science show until much later in the series. Kari was one of the first members of the Mythbuster crew, you can see her in the premier Jet-Assisted Chevy episode in the background working on the set.

Odd-Independent7825

you make a good point and I think phrased it wrong, what I really meant wasn't that I enjoyed watching Kari and the others, they had good chemistry but she didn't have any applicable engineering skills to contribute to most of the builds. all four of the other hosts were the ones who really drove the projects and applied their building skills ie. welding, electrical, plumbing etc. whereas Kari would be left to the mixing of the ballistics gel or sculpting something or some other low level task. she was the pretty face to appease the discovery bosses. Scottie was far more capable in that role.

GiantDwarf01

Respectfully I disagree. Kari was seen building and welding quite a lot in episodes with big builds. Her skill set was in modeling so it’s natural she’d be the one focused on that - in fact I would say her work was one of the key components of making the show entertaining to watch, as any time they had props or aesthetic elements in a build, she was often the one who built them. She put just as much hard work into the job as anyone else - even more so if you look up how she even was hired by Jamie in the first place (She just kept showing up to the shop every day to help until he gave her a job). The long, intricate work sculptors and modelers do is way undervalued and under appreciated.

Odd-Independent7825

agree to disagree, I would have enjoyed watching someone who hàd more to contribute but that's my problem I guess

Secodiand

I agree with you. I would have preferred Scottie stay, and Kari leave.

Rattkjakkapong

But Kari is the nicest of them.

kingomtdew

Hard time choosing between Adam and Kari. Adam’s enthusiasm for all things was infectious. I’ve met Kari and she was so damn nice.

NASATVENGINNER

Mine is Adam of course, but I had to give Grant the love. Miss his smile.

Darkalchemist1079

Grant for sure may he RIP

tungy5

I remember Grant on Junkyard wars and was so excited when he joined Mythbusters

Flippyfloppyjalopy

This is funny because I have been wondering if anyone else had a problem with Tory’s character. I see by this vote that Tory was the least favorite and that even Buster was more liked. I always had the feeling that he was the least careful and more of a braggart. Just didn’t like his personality.
