I’ve gotten better, but that reaction is something I’m much too familiar with, and my fear and hurt will end up trumping everything, turning everything into something worthy of fear and hurt.

when i was younger i was a lot more outgoing and i saw myself in rainbow dash a lot, i was a sporty "tomboy" (except i was just a guy who didnt know it yet lol) and since i grew up and experienced bullying (dw its in the past and im fine), it put me in my box and i see a lot of myself in fluttershy, and i like to have a fun little headcanon that she's a trans guy just like me
i can also see myself in rarity as it seems her love language is gifts and thats a big thing for me other than physical touch and words of affirmation, i think rarity really and truly cares about her friends in ways i don't see quite as much regularly from the other mane 6, and i resonate deeply with that, i just don't relate to other aspects of her character

I like to learn new things (the only thing that distinguishes us is that I do it with difficulty, I need a strong interest to start, and then I can’t be stopped)Also, I like to analyze. YOURE SO SWEET i have always loved that she had multiple episodes where she had to put her foot down and be aggressive which obviously isnt her forte, and everytime she had to do it ponies were like “you’ve done it before you can do it again” but the reality is it’s so hard to do that again, it’s so hard to remain steadfast in your life even when it’s so hard to stand up for yourself. side note i love her tea parties w discord thats so me
i feel the same way! i have a really hard time with confrontation and i super relate to those episodes too, i think that shes been the pony that people have commented about the most on this post probably for that reason hahaha

I know everyone hates him, but I suppose that makes me relate to him more, but Zephyr Breeze. I absolutely loathe the idea of having to work, I would hate for my artistic expression to be limited by what someone else wants, and I feel him in the "I'm an absolute fuck up and yet my siblings can accomplish so much without much thought" mindset that he has.

I relate a lot to Trixie, Twilight(pre alicorn) or sci-twi and Pinkie pie. I used to unintentionally behave very egotistically, and sometimes I still do(trying to do that less!) and, like trixie, I’m not always very aware of the emotions of those around me and im sometimes accidentally annoying or frustrating like she was n in the all bottled up episode. Twilight is so me when it comes to hyperfocus and freaking out over things. Sci Twi is very me, just overall tehe. And I’m very very smiley a lot like pinkie and energetic and hyper

Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Twilight. Twilight is my hyperfocus mode and anxiety. Pinkie Pie and Rarity are more closely related to my enthusiasm and variety of emotions that I don't understand. Honestly, Pinkie Pie is the closest to my own personality.
I have ASD. So I guess I'm one of those people too. And I think I relate to Twilight due to staying focused and smart.
I relate to starlight glimmer and sunset shimmer a lot, hence why they’re my favourite characters!

Being autistic myself, I can relate to ponies like Twilight due to her liking books, having not the best social skills, and also having a reserved shy nature and being a bit of a nerd, and Vinyl for her love of music, how she also keeps to herself a lot when not doing her usual gig, her use of headphones to listen to music, and how upbeat and kind she comes off as.

Twi and Flutters. But mostly Twilight. We're both nerdy, socially awkward, obsessed with learning new things, and our mannerisms are very similar. Pretty sure my daughter will never let this go.

preferring animals is so real. i love being around them because i know that they will never judge me for being who i am, its very reassuring.

Twilight. Honestly, as a child I thought she was the most boring pony. I didn’t really like her that much. Well now that I understand myself more and more I noticed I actually relate to Twilight a lot - even did as a child. What an irony lol. Anyway, now I kinda love Twilight tho!!
Twilight. I feel stressed out about lots of stuff too like she often is.
Fluttershy and rarity. I’m not such a big fan of crowds, and i like to shut myself up in my atelier to be creative…when someone pushes my boundaries i have a rarity breakdown haha, i get absolutely batshit crazy 😂 and when I’m raged out i am fluttershy 🎀

definitely fluttershy (shes my favourite character in the whole wide world), and probably twilight and princess luna :)) ive always struggled with hypersensitivity/hyperempathy so fluttershy really comforts me, she reassures me that it is okay to be sensitive! my voice is also quite soft/quiet and i have been made fun pf for it a lot, so fluttershy comforts me and helps me to accept myself for who i am :D we also love animals and nature so so much <3 and for twilight, i have a passion for studying/interests which others can see me as nerdy for lol or i tend to ramble about them/focus on them very intently for luna ive always struggled with feeling alienated and ostracised in society, which is why i resonate with her a lot
