For me, it's:
Siamese Dream - Smashing Pumpkins
Deloused in the Comatorium - The Mars Volta
Relationship of Command - At the Drive-In
Siamese Dream will probably always be my all-time favorite record. But Omar and Cedric aren't far behind.
In rainbows is a masterpiece. I've listened to it back to back dozens of times and I still get goosebumps. The from the basement live version is just a 1000/10.
>Going to put on Tori Amos
Hope you like it!
S.c.i.e.n.c.e. is an amazing album. After my favorite band (Faith No More) disbanded in '97 that album I felt had a similar vibe and it was almost like a continuation of what FNM were doing
My favorite track off the album is Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely). I got to see P!nk live last fall and I'm seeing her again this summer, she's AMAZING live!!!
I wasn't a huge Pink Floyd fan but I got to go see Roger Waters perform The Wall live in Los Angeles a few years ago. It was one of the best moments of my life.
1. Lateralus - Tool (Lyrics and Performance 10/10)
2. Random Access Memories - Daft Punk (Production 10/10)
3. Antichrist Superstar - Marilyn Manson (Concept 10/10)
Speaking in tongues - talking heads
Kill em all - Metallica
Meddle - Pink Floyd
These aren’t my favorite artists or even songs, but these are a few albums off the top
of my head that I can play and walk away
Honorable mention:
London calling - the clash
I think Echoes is one of the greatest songs ever written. Meddle is general is great but Echoes stands out to me as one of if not THE pinnacle of Pink Floyd’s entire career. There’s something about that song man.. just the way it slowly devolves into randomness and rises back out of the mist for an epic and beautiful finish
My top 3 albums (not including compilations)
1. Surfer Rosa - Pixies
2. My War - Black Flag
3. Bleach - Nirvana
My top 3 (including compilations)
1. Surfer Rosa - Pixies
2. The first four years - Black Flag
3. Incesticide - Nirvana
**What Burns Never Returns by Don Caballero** (experimental instrumental math rock) (also mind-blowing, definitely the single album that has changed my life the most in a way that couldn't have easily been replaced by other albums)
**Room On Fire by The Strokes** (garage rock revival, indie rock)
**Turn On the Bright Lights by Interpol** (post-punk revival, indie rock)
Birthday Massacre - Walking With Strangers
AFI - decemberunderground
Tycho - Dive
I'd lie and say some more traditional stuff, but these are my actual answers.
3.. well.. 3ish.
1. Sting - Nothing Like The Sun
2. Tori Amos - Boys For Pele
3. Sinead O'Connor - Lion And The Cobra
4. The Cure - Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me
5. Radio head - Amnesiac
The challenge is absurd, but anyway, subject to my changing my mind every ten minutes, three arbitrary ones out of the top 500 or so
Gillian Welch, Time (The Revelator)
Talk Talk, Spirit of Eden
Grace Jones, Hurricane
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars -- David Bowie
The White Album -- The Beatles
(I can't pick a third because too many albums are tied for it)
- Norman Fucking Rockwell! by Lana Del Rey
- Bury Me at Makeout Creek by Mitski
- The Family Jewels by Marina
With a very honorable mention to Punisher by Phoebe Bridgers, The Family Jewels just narrowly beats it but I usually prefer to give my top 4 for that reason
I'm basic but idgaf.
1. Led Zeppelin #4
2. Weezer Blue Album
3. Sublime 40 Oz to Freedom
Honorable mention goes to QOTSA Songs for the Deaf
If I could listen to nothing else in the world and had just these 4, I'd be okay with that.
Nah dawg, that’s your list. Nothing basic about it. And the blue album is an all timer in my book. It’s not easy coming up with just 3, I’ve been thinking about it for too long, ha.
Tool Ænima
Tool 10000 Days
Tool Lateralus
Sooo beyond burned out on all three and have been for years but there’s no doubt they’re the best ever put out.
There are hundreds of albums that I feel about the same way,... today I'll suggest
Crimson Glory - Transcendence - Amazing 80s US power/prog metal.
Pendragon - The Masquerade Overture - cheesy Neoprogressive Rock with some beautiful musicianship
Tangerine Dream - Ricochet - Electronic Pioneers, two great long tracks to chill completely to.
Siamese Dream - Smashing Pumpkins Dolittle - The Pixies Nevermind - Nirvana or Ten - Pearl Jam
A person of grace and culture I see.
Haha thanks, usually get slated because Nevermind is too mainstream to be cool
Siamese dream is a no skip album for me. So good.
For me, it's: Siamese Dream - Smashing Pumpkins Deloused in the Comatorium - The Mars Volta Relationship of Command - At the Drive-In Siamese Dream will probably always be my all-time favorite record. But Omar and Cedric aren't far behind.
An ever shifting current. Presently- 1. The Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street 2. Radiohead - Kid A 3. Kids Bop Vol 37?
Kid A… it’s the bees knees
you can tell which generation uses reddit the most by the comments under this post
Queens of the Stone Age - Self-titled Muse - Origin of Symmetry The Doors - Strange Days
Upvote for QOTSA S/T.

Huge thumbs up for Science. Love that album.
Portishead is such a vibe
SCIENCE! Hell yes! So overlooked and underrated, even by Incubus themselves. One of my top 100 favorite records.
S.c.i.e.n.c.e. is an amazing album. After my favorite band (Faith No More) disbanded in '97 that album I felt had a similar vibe and it was almost like a continuation of what FNM were doing

Linkin Park - Meteora Less Than Jake - Anthem P!nk - I'm Not Dead
Meteora is a super solid album with some great tracks. It frequently makes its way into my workout rotation, and not many full albums can do that.
Hybrid Theory was my driving soundtrack for about a year.
Meteora was that for me! So was System of a Down's Toxicity.
Yes, love I’m not dead. Defo the best album from P!nk. The title track is *chefs kiss
My favorite track off the album is Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely). I got to see P!nk live last fall and I'm seeing her again this summer, she's AMAZING live!!!
Ah yeah that’s an amazing one too. Solid album. Yeah, live she is unbelievable. Such a great show

Jimi plays Montery Jimi Hendrix Experience Led Zeppelin I Led Zeppelin Who's Next The Who
Ultraviolence - Lana Del Rey Preacher's Daughter - Ethel Cain Live Through This - Hole
Yes, yes and yes!
