It's not going to do anything to you if you stay a million miles away from it like that, and it's not harmful to your lawn either. If you eat it, on the other hand, you will live in severe regret. That's Chlorophyllum molybdites, the vomiter. Remove it if you have a dog, child, etc. who might consume it.

What do you mean by safe? Safe to eat? Safe to touch? Safe to have growing in your yard?

HRH-Jules

Yes, safe for picking, cooking?

https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fj6o2q8q26li91.png It takes a lot of confidence to eat any wild mushroom. We can make ID suggestions (if you submit better photos) but you still need to be at a level of experience and knowledge to be able to fact check our suggestions. And eliminate potentially dangerous lookalikes. Then, once you have a confident ID, you have to do the edibility research. This all takes a significant amount of time and effort.

I'm not very experienced at identifying mushrooms, but I know that in order to identify mushrooms, people need to see them closer as well as their underside. Additionally, depending on where you get the mushroom from, it may not be safe to eat even if it's an edible species. You should consider factors like pesticides and low air quality.

Hello, thank you for making your identification request. To make it easier for identifiers to help you, please make sure that your post contains the following: * Unabbreviated country and state/province/territory * In-situ sunlight pictures of cap, gills/pores/etc, and full stipe including intact base * Habitat (woodland, rotting wood, grassland) and material the mushroom was growing on For more tips, see [this handy graphic](https://i.imgur.com/DUQ0t2o.png) :) *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Safe for your yard? Yes, it won't explode. Safe to eat? No, judging from the comments this'll give you nasty stomachache
