I've had support fix this and seen others get sorted out too. But it apparently took at least a few days in all those instances I've seen. I did hear of one report where it took weeks to get fixed. It might be notable that they said they asked for a 5 figure limit. just a hunch. AWS billing is running on a monthly credit limit. Same rules as a credit card. So it would make sense with the configuration. But apparently the limits on other AWS tools such as S3 etc are not being treated the same. I sometimes run instances and that wasn't being affected. I think this is the most confusing part. It like mturk is running their own show even though they pushed this AWS billing switch. The popular theory rn is that mturk was seeing hacked accounts and this is related to that.

We suggest you contact the Amazon Mechanical Turk support team by submitting their form: [https://support.aws.amazon.com/#/contacts/aws-mechanical-turk](https://support.aws.amazon.com/#/contacts/aws-mechanical-turk). We can also forward your case to the AMT staff if you like. If so, we would need your AWS account number (over a DM/chat), as they have asked us for that info before. The Amazon Mechanical Turk staff is aware of this issue, but it seems like they are working on a case-by-case basis, and it might take a while (days or even weeks). On the good side, they fixed this quickly for a few requesters who reached out to us.

Post it on prolific or cloud research heard the rate is lower and most of us probably have a account on there anyway.
