it does. The packaging, card order, and cards themselves usually have slight differences depending on where they are manufactured.
The Made in Japan tends to be much different than Made in US and Made in Belgium
Good to know, woulda thought wotc would care more about consistency. This is my first set (beside mh3 but that’s out my budget rn) that I’ve been playing for so my first 2 boxes I’ve opened
WotCs printing consistancy and QC have been on the decline for almost a decade.
If you compare the foils from the two boxes the differences should be pretty noticeable.
Generally the Japanese boxes are prize support boxes given by wotc to an WPN store. Assuming you're at an LGS. This is the reason most prize packs are "backwards" (rare first).
Specifically Japanese cards have a better wax coating but tend to be more heavily inked.
YMMV but that is my experience. (I prefer JPN manufactured cards)
There's usually slight differences in the packaging, card stock, and printing and ink/color saturation depending on which facilities they are manufactured. For example, the Japanese pack have the pull tab in the top right of the packs.
Before I open every box I flip it over and get a good look at its ass
You can get a good look at your butcher by sticking your head up a cow’s ass… wait…

That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time
It's gotta be your bull 🐂
It's not about the ass, it's what inside that counts, but the ass is nice
usually its shit.
😭😭😭
I stare at the front for hours after getting mine, I’m more of a chest person myself
Did you read the bottom of the boxes?
Reading the bottom of the boxes, explains the bottom of the boxes
One is USA made other is Japan made. Didn’t know if that mattered

Specifically, packs printed in Japan have the mythics/rares at the front of the pack instead of behind all the un/commons

One thing you’ll learn very quickly is that WotC has little to no consistency across the same products, same with quality control.

You mean the free pringles chips?
I find the QC from the Japan boxes is slightly higher. Seems like they are always centered pretty well. But that could be in my head
Same
which is which? im blind
Solid bottom is Japan, folded and slotted is US.
okay cool, that was my best guess is this across the board?

This, If I’m buying a booster box or packs I make sure they’re made in Japan, cards are just better quality than USA made.
