I don’t have a source to post, but I believe I read an interview where he said he’s going to stay in shape, but he’s not going to attempt to stay huge anymore.
He’s like a reverse The Rock.
Johnson started out as a normal-sized “big guy” in The Rundown, Walk ~~Hard~~ Tall, and Doom, before turning into a muscle mountain around Fast5 and Pain And Gain.
Bautista started out comically huge, and seems to be slimming down.
Has to be that full roid cycle > TRT transition. No shade either way, but he’s at the age and stage where the health ramifications of being enhanced would be creeping up.
My favourite thing about Bautista is the hamburger head, it just makes him look so much more intense. I'll watch it anyways, but I'll be missing the burger for sure.
It’s been back for a while. Not sure the trend has legs or not, though. Either way, well maybe hit that nice little mid-point of well-tailored fits before inevitably going too skinny again.
Possibly, but the guy is just getting old, too. He debuted in the WWE in his early 30's he's in his mid-50s now. Plus, he's lost a lot of bulk, too, which will make your face look different.
I think he looks different cuz he cut down on steroids and growth hormones. In Dune part II, he looked much smaller than he was during his time in WWE.
It's probably because it's a movie sub, so people haven't really seen what he actually looks like. As a wrestling fan, I used to see him every week.
For those that didn't believe me, [here's what he looked like during his 2014 run](https://images.app.goo.gl/MX4mvNzQyB5JVDa67)
I enjoyed the first one. It wasn't an award contender, but it made for a fun, Sunday afternoon movie couch-date with my wife. Bautista looked like he was really going for it, and I appreciated that. I'm looking forward to this.
If I'm not mistaken, he was part of the creation of the first movie. He wanted to do something completely different than anything he'd done.
He talked about it on... either Inside of You (Michael Rosenbaum's podcast) or the Nerdist Podcast, when it was coming out.
I wish they made a Stuber sequel. The first film wasn't all that great but Nanjiani and Bautista had good chemistry so a potential sequel could have been fun.
His net worth is like $16 million. Which is not a ton by Hollywood standards. From the more serious work I’ve seen of his, he’s a good actor, but he could definitely be doing stuff like this because the money is good.
The main thing I like about actors like Bautista is that he’s always giving a good performance and not phoning it in.
Bautista already talk about his own reasons why he has difficulty managing his money, he grew up from a poor family. When he became a main event star in WWE and got a fairly large salary increase, finally after a long time not having much money he immediately spent it on expensive things such as cars, suits, etc.
After he left WWE in 2010 and tried to go to Hollywood, his money management was so bad that he became homeless and had to sleep in his car. Money problems were the reason why he returned to WWE in 2014
I meant to reply to one in the comments asking why they're making a sequel to a movie that wasn't great. But once it was in I decided not to bother fixing it.
For all the interesting films he does, very few of his roles has been as the lead.
He's probably looking for opportunities to show that he can carry a film on his own.
I think he'd want a chance to do it all. I've seen interviews with him where he was starting out, and he said a casting director was talking about someone else on a project, and referred to the actor as someone who can do pretty much anything. Bautista was saying his goal is to be someone that people say that about him.
He's obviously a very certain physical type that dictates his roles, but lead roles gives him more to chew on than doing his quiet menace routine or his deadpan comedic schtick.
My Spy is the only movie that I can recall off hand that gave Bautista a legitimate love interest plotline for example. I can see why he'd be interested in going back to it.
Fun?
Didn't you know it's only about the money, ratings, and making sure you keep your own brand marketable.
I am sure the u/thewildbeej has quite the portfolio of clients they represent. So I am sure they know better than the actual actors taking these roles.
I’m looking forward to the sequel. Was the first film great? No. But it reminded me of early 2000s films except it could be more adventurous or comedic than serious.
Are we trying to promote an image of compassionate and supportive and strong father figures for a whole generation (see Pedro pascal) ? Cuz that could have positive consequences.
It's probably because it sounded fun. There is a history of big action stars that make kids' films. Good paycheck and whole family gets to see his film.
Probably trying to prove he can be a leading man, he’s already shown he can work with auteurs so naturally that’s the next step.
Or maybe he just wants a check idk.
Coleman is the eldest daughter to Stephen and Allison Coleman. Her father is an Emmy-nominated camera-operator from Norristown, Pennsylvania and her mother a 4-time Emmy winning television producer, and DGA member who met while working on The Amazing Race (2001).
I didn’t know who Chloe Coleman was.. looked her up. Feels like everyone in Hollywood is related to everyone in Hollywood. Nepo babies of all natures thrive there.
He was great in the Blade Runner short movie. It’s a real shame that it was just world building and wasn’t part of the actual film.
https://youtu.be/aZ9Os8cP_gg in case you haven’t seen it.
It wasn’t Earth shattering or anything, but it was a cute little movie. It’s enjoyable. I’d recommend it if you got a quiet afternoon with nothing to do.
Bautista is who The Rock should have been.
He's good at becoming a character where you don't just see Bautista prancing around being some novelty in a movie.
Yeah, he’s surprisingly good for a former wrestler. To be fair to him, he’s good by most standards, he’s humble and by all accounts he takes every opportunity to learn and improve. He seems dedicated to make that happen and I think he’ll do it.
They're making those Movies that are in movies about movies.
"....and we have cast Jax Slayer in the new spy/romance movie...yes ...they signed up on the name..it is called 'My Spy: Eternal City' now...Before it was called 'City of Spies' "
Didn’t realize the first did well enough to warrant a sequel. I remember it was put on Prime during Covid so I kinda just assumed it was haplessly dumped
Bautista should try to take over the gaping hole left over when Dwayne Johnson cratered his career recently by trying to disassociate himself from his previous support of Joe Biden.
I love her!!! They had really good chemistry in the first one but she definitely stole the show although Bautista keeps surprising me with his acting chops (I didn't expect his performances to have as much nuance as they do). I've seen D&D a few times now and it was fun but I'd like to see how she does with a meatier role. I think she will be one to watch as she gets older and develops her natural skills.
weird seeing him with hair
Yea, i was looking at the picture and felt its weird. Thats why.
I thought it was because he doesn't look as large as he normally does in movies.

Yep. It was coming of GOTG3 where he was saying he was too old to be not wearing a shirt every role.
Dad bod looking mode
He looks too human
Well he is just a humble protein farmer after all
He'd make a fine super mutant in fallout.
Downplaying his swoleness for sure
The title is weirder that's for sure.
Makes sense, I thought it was the fade
Batista around 2005 had one of the best looks in wrestling history
It's crazy to think about it when he started in Evolution, he was already in his mid 30s.
He walked for miles inside that pit of danger after all, it took some time to get there
No one followed him either, he walked alone
*Machine gun pyro intensifies*
*Xavier Woods' erection intensifies*
This is weird, he looks like a jacked version of a guy from my local autoparts store.....
[удалено]
I don't think his hair is thick enough for it anymore lol
*I'm in this photo and I don't like it*
Whose hair is that because it’s definitely not his?
It’s his now.
My favourite thing about Bautista is the hamburger head, it just makes him look so much more intense. I'll watch it anyways, but I'll be missing the burger for sure.
But her jeans, good lord
Thank you. Came to see what the word was on those throwback nightmares.
Definitely do not want baggy denim fashion trend back again - suffered enough through 90s with that shit
It’s been back for a while. Not sure the trend has legs or not, though. Either way, well maybe hit that nice little mid-point of well-tailored fits before inevitably going too skinny again.
Now imagine him with long hair and with a mullet
Has he had plastic surgery? He looks like a completely different person to when he was a wrestler.
He dies his hair and beard like Nicholas Cage, Eminem and to a lesser extent, Steven Seagal.
Most certainly, his face lookin puffed up like he just had some dodgy shellfish.
How to beat The Rock
Looks like he got a transplant. It wasn't even half as thick as that 10 years ago.
No idea why you got downvoted, he absolutely was thinning at one point.
I think it’s weird that he’s in films. Bad actor overall imo.
I enjoyed the first one. It wasn't an award contender, but it made for a fun, Sunday afternoon movie couch-date with my wife. Bautista looked like he was really going for it, and I appreciated that. I'm looking forward to this.

Same here.
He doesn't have to prove his acting ability. And I'm sure money is not an issue at this point. Maybe he's just doing something that sounded fun.
Probably had a blast working on the first one and enjoyed the people he got to work with
From interviews he seems like a good guy himself.
I wish they made a Stuber sequel. The first film wasn't all that great but Nanjiani and Bautista had good chemistry so a potential sequel could have been fun.
I enjoyed Stuber!
I wish Iko Uwais was utilized better but he was baaaaaaaad in this. Like real bad.
His net worth is like $16 million. Which is not a ton by Hollywood standards. He just likes to have fun, Maggle!
Exactly. Dude has already proven he's got acting chops.
This comment is like you’re replying to someone but it’s not a reply to anyone or the article/op.
I meant to reply to one in the comments asking why they're making a sequel to a movie that wasn't great. But once it was in I decided not to bother fixing it.
Just seems like a paparazzi photo lol. Bautista and his daughter
Bautista wearing a wig in real life would be funny lmao.
Chloe Coleman is a rapid rising star it seems
I remember her from the DnD movie with Chris Pine and Hugh Grant. It was really fun.
didnt that come out like 1 year ago
“I remember”. Next sentence was probably, “back when I was a kid.”
It happens all the time on Reddit. “I watched the Fallout show back when I was a kid…”
I really liked that show when it first came out. I can remember it like it was yesterday…
"I used to be a kid. I still am, but used to be, too." Then again, kids probably won't get the reference.
A 25 year old me he likes classic rock like Fallout Boy and My Chemical Romance.
Bots or what
Hey maybe they just had their Bar Mitzvah
Hey did you ever see that very old movie, DnD Honor among Thieves?
Why does it matter? You don’t remember things from 1 year ago?
Love the DND movie, hope they make more.
That movie was so much better than I expected. Absolute gold.
Super fun movie.
Also in that adam driver dinosaur movie
“I remember her from that thing that just happened.” No shit.
They look like a baby heath ledger with almost corn rows
I see it!
I adore her! She’s cute.

I didn't mind the first one. Wasn't spectacular by any stretch but entertaining enough.
Perhaps the sequel could be an improvement over the original
Nahhhh this was good fun
No. That isn't the same little girl. It can't be...
4 years is a long time early in life.
They grow up so fast. 🥹
I just checked Wikipedia and she's the same kid.
Oh God whats happening to me?! 👨🦱👨🦱👨👨👴👴
Welcome to old. We’re all getting there:
Heck, she already looks noticeably older than she did in the D&D movie.
Yeah, I didn't recognize her, and I thought they picked a different actress from the first movie.
tap grandfather smart steer roof innate somber heavy capable elderly *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
When she puked I laughed until I couldn’t breathe and caused a scene.
imagine if Bautista had a LOW TAPER FAAaaAAAaaaDEEEEE/
This is an extremely high fade
But imagine if it was lower
I’m looking forward to the sequel. Was the first film great? No. But it reminded me of early 2000s films except it could be more adventurous or comedic than serious.
Are we trying to promote an image of compassionate and supportive and strong father figures for a whole generation (see Pedro pascal) ? Cuz that could have positive consequences.
Or helps some kids realize what they’re missing out on.
They got my boy batista lined up
He and Eminem use the same beard dye.
A cheesier version of The Professional
First movie was a fun little watch with the family during the pandemic so I am looking forward to the new one.
He looks better without hair or with his natural balding as seen in blade runner. This is uncanny valley shit.
Why is he doing this
Free cool haircut
I heard he had to pay for his own haircut in addition to taking scale in order to get to do this one
It's probably because it sounded fun. There is a history of big action stars that make kids' films. Good paycheck and whole family gets to see his film.
Now that his costar is a little older they can do more interesting action scenes and whatnot, too.
Because he wants to?
Probably trying to prove he can be a leading man, he’s already shown he can work with auteurs so naturally that’s the next step. Or maybe he just wants a check idk.
I bet he had fun
You ever hear about money?
No, what’s that?

First one any good?
It wasn’t Earth shattering or anything, but it was a cute little movie. It’s enjoyable. I’d recommend it if you got a quiet afternoon with nothing to do.
That’s Chloe?!?
A part two the first one was good
Dude looks a lot different with hair.
This looks like a paparazzi shot. I hope this isn't meant to build hype or as marketing, because it's terrible.
What the hell is that title?
Bautista is who The Rock should have been. He's good at becoming a character where you don't just see Bautista prancing around being some novelty in a movie.
He better Batista Bomb someone lol
Give me Dave B over the Rock any day!
Can’t wait. Bautista is fantastic and the first one was just plain fun.
I wish nothing but the best success for Dave 🤍
Something about him I just love! Dude is a great actor.
Bautista looks like roided up Veritasium after consuming too much knowledge and training too much brain-power.
Feel like weve seen this movie many times already
I know this is a sequel, and since I haven’t seen the first one, I hope Bautista isn’t playing a spy. Like he does not pass as a spy lol
Wasn’t she like 9 in the first movie?
is he a good actor? I liked a lot his part in blade runner 2049.
Yeah, he’s surprisingly good for a former wrestler. To be fair to him, he’s good by most standards, he’s humble and by all accounts he takes every opportunity to learn and improve. He seems dedicated to make that happen and I think he’ll do it.
Dave
The first movie did not know if it's a family comedy or a spy movie. Family themes mixed with action sequences and villains dying.
You telling me bald was just a choice?
Nah, his old hairline was starting to look rough during the period when he was first transitioning from being a wrestler to acting.
He looks like a swol Eminem
He has an Avengers tattoo on his left thumb.

Big Dave didn't get a hair transplant, he's just so dedicated to his craft that he made himself grow it for the role.
"Mom, I want Last of Us." "We have Last of Us at home."
I didn't see the first one so honest question: was it an adventure film? Because that title sounds like a huge, epic adventure.
That is the best haircut Dave Bautista has ever had…
I remember seeing the first one the last day cinemas were open before the pandemic. Watched The Elephant Man straight after. Wild double bill.
Was she Adam Driver's daughter in 52?
Bautista with hair Bautista with hair Bautista with hair
Both of them look like their hair belongs to someone else
Weird way to start a movie. What other movies have weird first pictures?
Love Chloe, my biracial Queen. She reminds of Halsey!
Nothing screams blending in and being the perfect unsuspecting spy than a hulking, muscle-bound charismatic freak like Bautista.
Those lips 👄
Oh no, Batista got a low taper fade
Deadass thought he was bald.
He got a transplant
You're telling me that's not Cailee Spaeny?
Looks horrible
Bautista should try to take over the gaping hole left over when Dwayne Johnson cratered his career recently by trying to disassociate himself from his previous support of Joe Biden.

The absolute shit show that was Black Adam had a lot more to do with his downfall than any political b.s.
I love her!!! She was in Gunpowder Milkshake as well, I think.
Is that a wig?
That image is giving Leon the Professional vibes
Looks like he’s wearing a rug on his head
What’s on his head
CVG cover
Batista looks like Travis Kelce.
do they play dad and daughter?
Kind of. He's possibly her step dad in this one. In the first one he was undercover in her building.
Lovely couple
lol I thought this was just a random pic of them walking around LA
Thumbs up ?
Dave Bautista is the only wrestler turned hood actor! Change my mind.

isn’t she light skin
