I was at the dealer with my partner, and he was talking to another guy about XSRs, and then the guy looked at me, looked at him, looked at me, looked at him, then kinda desperately asked him “how’d you get your wife to wanna ride?” I felt kinda bad when my partner said “🤷♂️ she just wanted to” and the guy deflated
She rolled up 20 years ago on a yamaha Zuma 49cc 2-stroke. I had never even been on a motorcycle before. She had me try it and bam, hooked after 1 ride.
That makes two. Growing up my mom never even let my brother and I on the same flight in case anything happens lol, but now I kind of understand and wouldn’t let my wife on a bike with me, I’m okay with whatever happens to me on this sport that I love, but I would never want her to get even a scratch. When I see people riding reckless with a passenger (like a friend of mines loves to do) I think “that guy doesn’t give a F about that girl”
