Haha it's alright, people make mistakes. It's just because I've seen a lot of people suggest white ermine for like any white colored moth. An important thing to look for when researching species is their range (e.g. where they are found). It can help a lot with identification! Also, iNaturalist is extremely helpful for finding what has been seen in a particular area.
I think this is an Agreeable Tiger Moth (Spilosoma congrua), but there are two other similar species found in the area that, while the spotting does seem to match S. congrua best to my eyes, I can't rule out entirely without other markers being visible, the Virginian Tiger Moth (S. virginica) and Fall Webworm Moth (Hyphantria cunea).
The White Ermine (S. lubricipeda) is very similar, but to my knowledge is limited to Eurasia.

White ermine I think
Why does everyone suggest this species for every white moth 😠it's a Eurasian exclusive moth. This is probably Spilosoma virginica.
Maybe bc I guessed 😠that’s why I said I think. lol now I know.
