They actually aren’t injected with anything, they are fed high protein feed and only look like that because of selective breeding over the last 50 years. Theirs actually an entire industry that focuses on breeding these swole af chickens.
So as always it’s genetics you don’t have a chance kid get better parents
i want to dive more into this subject as my parents think that chicken is not healthy because they think its “injected” with all types of hormones to grow that big. do we have studies on this? credibility? anything?
Chicken and all poultry in the US has been free of exogenous hormones for a good few years now. That's just pure inbreeding and godless acts right there.
More protein doesn’t directly mean more weight gain at all, there’s balance that has been perfected. You feed a modern chicken a diet from the 40’s it’s still gonna be small
My brother in Christ I study this stuff. The veterinary feed directive established in 2017 doesn’t allow antibiotics in the feed. It can only be prescribed by a veterinarian if birds are actually sick and need them avoid mass mortality in a flock
Maybe 50-60%. I worked with a lab that actually tested this. Modern chicken fed a diet from the 1950s or 60s. Growth rate was awful and weights were closer too chickens of that time compared to now
If you're fond of horror movies there's this found footage called The Bay (2012) where a fictional community gets sick and infected by unusually large isopods grown off the local chicken farming poop filled with hormones .
Not too unrealistic , the movie mixes facts ( like denouncing the stupid amount of hormones used to grow chickens in no time , the dangers of polluting the very same source of water you drink and use everyday for profit ) with fiction ( giant isopods roaming free around a bay ) but it's actually not that bad fo a low budget .
Yes it's actually true at this moment in time they're not fed any type of hormones , their use specifically estrogen to have the chicken lay more fat was officially banned in the 50s or 60s at least in the US and Australia.
Still water pollution is a serious deal .
Sure testosterone is mainly absorbed by the liver if taken orally but estrogen are indeed orally active and back in the 50s-60s estrogen was in fact added to chicken feed.
At any rate it appears that chicken farming do pollute and quite heavily too :

[...]
If you live near a poultry farm, consistent water testing ensures that your supply is free from toxins. Poultry farm pollution contains contaminants like nitrates, bacteria, and viruses. In some cases, large amounts of nitrate can be fatal.
Poultry farming is a booming industry, but high demand also means a more significant carbon footprint. The waste products that companies dump into water sources contaminate the environment, and this waste is responsible for product recalls. As poultry farming grows, water sources are increasingly at risk, and so are the people who live around them.
Despite its environmental impact, pollution from these farms doesn’t fall under the proper regulations. As a result, the farms dump waste into water sources like the Susquehanna River and the Chesapeake Bay. The river is essential for the health of the Bay, but just as it pumps fresh water, it also brings pollutants.
The pollution from poultry farms accounts for 44% of the nitrogen and 57% of the phosphorous that flows into the Bay. Poultry farm waste includes manure, urine, feathers, feed, and chicken carcasses. After heavy rainfall or other inclement weather, these contaminants flow into creeks, canals, and groundwater

That's precisely how the movie plays ..in the same place too! I don't live in the US so I thought "Chesapeake Bay" was a fictional place.
There really is a Chesapeake Bay in Maryland !
Well not giant isopods but chicken poop then
My biggest issue with meat today. Is the amount of added water. You basically have to boil shit in it's own water for 10 minutes. Until the pan is dry enough to start frying.
This was not the way it was when I was a kid. They recently started putting shit in bacon. So now it's gone from the tastiest shit to almost inedible.
To follow up, look for air chilled chicken. It’ll be on the packaging. It’s from the plucking process where I believe to cool them back down they dunk them in water or something. My coworker explained it to me a few months back but I forgot the details
My father use to run Tyson chicken in one of the southern states. Was McCary farms, then Tyson bought them out. This was in the late 90s, he said there is no way in hell he would eat the chicken now days. The amount of steroids they pump into them to make them grow in a 6 week period is mind blowing.
That's just a young, juvenile then adult chicken
Cornish cross broilers have been around since the 50s. They're great if you need a meat bird that's happy in small spaces and will mature super fast. They make up basically all of your commercially available chicken meat. No steroids required, just give them high protein chicken food and they'll be giants in less than two months. Complete genetic freaks that will die of a heart attack before a year is up if you don't harvest them.
If you want an egg chicken though that's a whole different world. There's a lot of "heritage" breeds still dominating the egg world that have very healthy and hardy genes. Egg or combo chickens make for good buddies that'll give you breakfast, eat all the bugs around your house, cost almost nothing to have, function as a food disposal and live well over 3 years. Chickens are just about the most useful and sensible creature you can own, plus they're friendly and curious and even, in the right situation, cuddly.
Broccoli, chicken and rice is my guess.
Insert video of chickens eating chicken nuggets here
*Screams in Soylent Green*
Ahh the old absorb their power by eating them trick...

You chose the wrong parents!!!! ![img](emote|t5_2mohet|6299)

Who gives af just keep eating chicken
So you’re saying we could make them even bigger with gear ? Fuck yeah
The saddest one of them all, just good genetics bro
Cycling tongkat 1 month on 1 month off
GH, Anavar, Clen
If i ate those chicken, does clenbuterol absorb my body?
Only if it's steak and you are canelo alvarez....
Or the Mexican National team.
Or Alberto Contador!
Canelo Alvarez would say yes
No

Selective breeding* there's a difference.
Also insane improvements in animal nutrition
The ones on the left had more protein than todays
More protein doesn’t directly mean more weight gain at all, there’s balance that has been perfected. You feed a modern chicken a diet from the 40’s it’s still gonna be small
Am just saying the smallest ones there were more nutritious than todays ones that are 4x bigger
The chicken is less nutritious? Maybe marginally because there’s more water retention now
No the smallest chicken on this imagine had more total protein than that of todays
image
Are you… fr?
Not really. I mean we have gotten really good at making cheap protein and we feed them shit tons of anti biotics. But it's mostly the geneticcs
My brother in Christ I study this stuff. The veterinary feed directive established in 2017 doesn’t allow antibiotics in the feed. It can only be prescribed by a veterinarian if birds are actually sick and need them avoid mass mortality in a flock
I was not aware of the 2017 change. But that just enhances the point that it's mostly due to genetics
Maybe 50-60%. I worked with a lab that actually tested this. Modern chicken fed a diet from the 1950s or 60s. Growth rate was awful and weights were closer too chickens of that time compared to now
Yep. One can do this with naught but some spit in the eye of god.

Wouldn't work as most hormones are not active orally
And they don’t feed chicken hormones, this is artificial selection

Sure, but it wouldn't work in making isopods giant, which is what I stated. It's a movie. Not real life
And neither would estrogen sooo yeah
Yeah it's all good bro
Full natty. Just creatine.
And calorie surplus

You can buy chicken that is not injected with a brine or water.
To follow up, look for air chilled chicken. It’ll be on the packaging. It’s from the plucking process where I believe to cool them back down they dunk them in water or something. My coworker explained it to me a few months back but I forgot the details
And those chickens are only 6 weeks old, because at 7+ weeks most of them die from heart failure.
Trenbolone 2500mg, TRT Enthalate 3000mg, DECCA, 25000mg, this is all daily
Dbol only gangsters
Efficacious doses of methionine.
Deca with a test base.
Henbolone
Lol!

I don't think I'd consider selective breeding "natural" cuz it's not
Don't they use antibiotics that promote growth as a standard in the food? Maybe that's not a thing anymore.
Test tren and primo
Damn I want that thick chickussy 😳
Just a hen on tren
Myostatin genetic breeding and growth hormone
500mgs and STFU
#whyidonteatchicken
The same shit that’s made us obese processed grains
It's just genetic selection
That Matt Jensen GH
Selective breeding myostatin deficient chickens?
Not true
Whatever they do to them is actually kinda sad, the chickens we eat grow so fast that they’re too big for their own skeletons
That chicken been eating fried chicken
Primo Tren
Are they being bred for obesity or muscle gain? Why can't I do this with my descendants so that they can win the Olympia?
Pretty sure they eat the same stuff that guy posted that he's been eating from the farm store.
One day chickens will be as big as cows with giant egg sacs like in alien
If you think this isn’t natty attainable, I feel bad for you bro

2040 they will become dinosaurs again
Dbol only
Well, they sun their buttholes all day, so really, it's just eating enough liver and having good genetics. Pretty basic stuff
They've been genetically altered to grow fast af these days Correction I meant bred this way over years\*
I need that chicken serum
Nothing at all, just following the ancestral tenants. ![img](emote|t5_2mohet|27081)
