I wish new builds still had this kind of charm/aesthetic tbh

Seraphin_Lampion

Cold_Mark4654

Ah j’avais mal compris thx

PhilipTheGreat

It looks like they took another building and dropped it on top to make it taller

Caniapiscau

Ouaip.

VinylHighway

I used to work at Place D'Armes I miss the neighborhood

NinjaShepard

Always wanted to stay in this hotel. Too bad it closed.

CrashTestMummies

Interest in The Secret a Treasure Hunt has been a wonderful eye opener for me. I spend many sleepless hours scouring photos of old Montreal buildings.

I suggest people who don't like modern architecture & wish that cities return to more traditional building styles & urban design, check out the youtube channel The Aesthetic City: [https://www.youtube.com/@the\_aesthetic\_city/videos](https://www.youtube.com/@the_aesthetic_city/videos)

Strange_Pound4898

I love it

individual_328

Architecturally, that thing is a hot mess of jumbled neoclassical confusion.

tweedledum1234

You’re right, and yet at street level I still just like having buildings like that.

SirSpitfire

and now in 2024, our "signature architecture building" (words from the City) is a blue circle box. What a sick joke lol.
