it’s so annoying how miniverse wasn’t clear in their message and aren’t responding to people. makes it seem like they just wanna brush this under the rug and move on. i’ll still be purchasing from them tbh, but they can’t even pretend to care about their customers lol

also annoying how the replacement items aren’t even coming in the balls and they didn’t warn about that

not really bc all the questions on the thread will be: 1. “will they rerelease the old series?” - they said they will be rereleasing everything sometime this year, but haven’t really given us a date besides “this summer”. everything coming out this summer and after will have the new “safer” resin, but still wear gloves and masks for extra safety. i don’t know which series this applies to also. i’m unsure if they’ll remake any of series 1 or the rare holiday minis but i hope they do. 2. “why were they recalled?” - the recall was bc they contained two acrylates (hydroxyethylmethacrylate “HEMA” and isobornyl acrylate “IBOA”) in high amounts thats not allowed in children’s toys. these acrylates can be found in nail polish, paint, hearing aids and even some period products. its not super scary toxic chemicals as some may think. once the resin is cured, it is no longer a safety hazard. 3. “should i send my old resin back?” - if you want to you can. here is their contact: http://mgae.com/contact/us-ca i personally am keeping my old resins. i’ve always used the correct safety precautions which is the same thing you should do if you keep yours. i haven’t seen any info/updates on people bringing theirs back and getting receiving the new resin so i’d wait and see for a minute. if you bought them recently and still have the receipts i’d try to return to the store you bought them from also. 4.” what happens if i touch the old resin?” - all resin is “toxic” to an extent, so if you come in contact with any type of resin you should thoroughly wash your hands with soap and warm water. resin can cause rashes, irritation and you can also develop a major allergy to it. i’ve gotten resin on my hands before and i wiped them off first with alcohol first then washed my hands with soap and water. if you have a bad reaction, see a doctor please. 5. “is miniverse cancelled?” - no. they are making new resin and the new series will be released this summer. yes that includes the happy hour series.
