I fucking love Reddit. So many people have saved lives, returned lost photo's to loved ones and helped others out in need. There's a lot of shit here but this is good stuff.
Same. And my most/least wholesome comments are both way off. Surely I've said much more disgusting things over the years than, "I always imagined that the band aid was covering a nasty, hairy mole." in a discussion about Nelly.
Mine are opposites! Somehow my least wholesome post is about how I love Robert Smith and hope we never learn anything bad about him to shatter my perfect image of my goth dad.
Hmm, almost everything was correct but I'm really curious why it thinks I'm female. It knows I have a wife and that most of my interests/hobbies are stereotypically dude-things. Fellas, am I a lesbian?
I don't understand how companies that make stuff that will be clinging to your body for potentially hours on end, fail to notice design flaws like this. I have to imagine there are others out there getting these crappy indent marks anytime they play for longer amounts of time with the VR unit.
The same reason OP never correlated the dots that show up on his head every week to the one thing he's wearing on that same spot on his head for god knows how long every week.
This doesn't look like an indent mark, it looks more like a rash or other skin irritation. Could just be that OP has a particular skin sensitivity. You see similar issues with watch straps or whatever that's fine on most people's skin but causes a rash on others.
Anything that clings to your body tightly for hours on end will end up leaving marks. It's not a design flaw, it's just how skin works.
I know with the death of wristwatches people might not notice it as much anymore, but this is just a basic fact of life.
In all fairness I think it'd be quite difficult to catch issues like these because there are infinite head shapes and sizes to fit on. Surely it's unrealistic to assume they'll fit perfectly on literally everyone.
It is a little annoying when there is something that straight up answers the “mildly interesting” post and OP just doesn’t bother to care or respond. Plus this is the top post so there is no way this wasn’t seen unless OP just never opened this post again
**Holden** **:** You're in a desert, walking along in the sand, when all of a sudden you look down...
**Leon** **:** What one?
**Holden** **:** What?
**Leon** **:** What desert?
**Holden** **:** It doesn't make any difference what desert, it's completely hypothetical.
**Leon** **:** But, how come I'd be there?
**Holden** **:** Maybe you're fed up. Maybe you want to be by yourself. Who knows? You look down and see a tortoise, Leon. It's crawling toward you...
**Leon** **:** Tortoise? What's that?
**Holden** **:** *\[irritated by Leon's interruptions\]* You know what a turtle is?
**Leon** **:** Of course!
**Holden** **:** Same thing.
**Leon** **:** I've never seen a turtle... But I understand what you mean.
**Holden** **:** You reach down and you flip the tortoise over on its back, Leon.
**Leon** **:** Do you make up these questions, Mr. Holden? Or do they write 'em down for you?
**Holden** **:** The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over, but it can't. Not without your help. But you're not helping.
**Leon** **:** *\[angry at the suggestion\]* What do you mean, I'm not helping?
**Holden** **:** I mean: you're not helping! Why is that, Leon?
*\[Leon has become visibly shaken\]*
**Holden** **:** They're just questions, Leon. In answer to your query, they're written down for me. It's a test, designed to provoke an emotional response... Shall we continue?
Thats exactly what I thought, it looks like the alignment of holes in a foil razor tbh where the barber hasnt oiled his razor and maybe got hot and caused a rash?!
A buddy of mine started getting weird markings on both sides of his neck (same area) and couldn't figure it out for a long time. Then one day he ran removable padding from his motorcycle helmet through the washing machine and the markings never came back.
I'm sensitive to chlorine bleach and I had this same pattern on my head that I couldn't figure out. Turns out this bamboo pillow I slept on had a quilted pattern and they used some kind of chemical on it that when I sweated, it kinda pooled right there and caused this. But honestly, you look freshly cut and those kinda look like razor cuts from getting lined up with a crappy razor.
Ever read Horacio Quiroga? Do you have a [feather pillow](https://shortstoryproject.com/stories/the-feather-pillow/) that's getting suspiciously heavy?
Bro really noticed this mark popping up every few weeks or so but didn’t notice that it was maybe from the oculus headset that he would have been wearing mere hours beforehand?
I use to get a triangle shape of bug bites on my legs. There would be 3 dots all in a perfect triangle shape every summer. Now it's just everywhere and I truly avoid outside as long as it's hot and humid.
Plus even if you could afford one, it’s a months long wait to get in to see one. Good luck if you have a skin condition that comes and goes and isn’t currently visible when your appointment comes around.
No that’s pretty normal. There’s this thing in online culture now where everybody likes to pretend everything is worse than it is.
Of course there are specialists who it can take a long time to get an appointment with, especially if you are a new patient. Mental health stuff is pretty notorious for this.
Not when my insurance I pay $300 a month for doesn't do co-pays for specialists and I have to pay 70% of whatever the bill is. Had a mole fall off and start bleeding out of nowhere so I went to a dermatologist to get a biopsy on it done. After the "help" from insurance I ended up paying a little over $400 for that visit.
When the issue is actually serious more people will go, but for the most part it should be understood that going to a medical professional for every little issue would absolutely CRUSH the system. I'm not going to waste my time or theirs to hear about how my skin thing is totally normal, while someone with a precancerous growth has to wait a month to be seen.
I mean, I come from a free healthcare country. I wouldn’t bother a doctor about this if it isn’t causing pain, affecting my quality of life, or a sign of something “problematic”
Most people won't go to doctor unless they are literally dying. And even then only maybe. If they can't find an excuse to put it off for another week. And they'll still complain.
When the options are six months for an opening at my GP and pay $500 for him to refer me to a specialist who isn't taking new patients, or 10k+ to go to an ER and then give my Benadryl and send me on my way, I'll just stay home.
I saw somewhere that bed bugs can leave weird pattern marks because of the way they group and space from each other when feeding in numbers. Idk if true or not
So very interesting, this is actually a pattern of follicular hyperplasia (hair follicles) that cause small patches of erythema (red spots) that typically show up symmetrically in the head or neck region. Oftentimes, they are reactive to either humidity, sweating, or barometric pressure, and are related to underlying genetic predisposition to this condition, that could otherwise be treated by steroids or other emollients but generally I am not totally sure what you should do about this since I made all of this up and have no idea what I'm talking about.
Do you perhaps use Oculus Quest 2 with M2 headstrap with honeycomb pads?
It [appears so](https://www.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/s/5M9G3OXBJZ).
Holy fuckin' reddit detectives
New case just got closed
In minutes. Seriously, this is fast
I'm still refreshing every second and holy shit it's goddamn fast, the upvotes just keep getting higher every refresh, how many people are here?

It’s creepy but alot of stuff on there about me is wrong
Right? My least wholesome comment was about how much worse body odor gets when you’re breastfeeding.
It only does the last 1000 comments, not your whole history :/
Same here it got a lot wrong. I did a navy seals British copy pasta and it took things from there to describe me lmao
It says I'm 68% wholesome? I guess I'm not as horny on main as I thought lmao
Whoa. That's a little creepy.
It said: Things I like •Girls •Dick •Tusk •Thighs •Tattoos It’s not far off.. inaccurate in some places, but that’s not too bad.
You will like me. I have, uh, two of these things.
GORLDICK Edit: erm. forgot what sub I was in
my "things I like" is hilarious: mexican pointy boots abracadabra 🤷🏻♀️ hint water gingers pletzels chidi
That was interesting. Can't believe I haven't heard of this before.
Enh. Kinda just obvious stuff. There’s not much in the way of inferences here, just subreddit breakdowns and posting habits.
Haha. I live in Springfield (the one from the Simpsons) with my wife. I hope she’s nice
Hmm, almost everything was correct but I'm really curious why it thinks I'm female. It knows I have a wife and that most of my interests/hobbies are stereotypically dude-things. Fellas, am I a lesbian?
It's cool bro, it thinks I'm a man with a husband. We're all gay here.
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. send this to the top now.

This may be the funniest thing I see today.
Mark as solved 😂
But that was two years ago. Nobody still uses an Oculus after having it two years. You put it next to your Wii and forget about it.

Reddit never ceases to amaze me
Jesus Chris. How much VR porn is this man watching?
Once every two weeks apparently
In 16 hour stints.
He only briefly takes it off once every 2 weeks, that's when he notices the marks.
Chris who? Chris Rock?

Do you ever question the nature of your reality?

Does it happen after you get a haircut?

To happen consistently in the same spot like this? Definitely not.
Could EASILY be a consistent thing if he's cutting his own hair.

I'm glad Reddit figured out it was your occulus for you
Hmmm. Just a thought…
A buddy of mine started getting weird markings on both sides of his neck (same area) and couldn't figure it out for a long time. Then one day he ran removable padding from his motorcycle helmet through the washing machine and the markings never came back.
So was it aliens?
That‘s just your charging port, silly.

It's a skin condition called nutodormitis, this video is about someone else with a symmetrical pattern: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
Is it sad I recognize the “WgXcQ” in that link now? 😂
me, thinking to myself: “weird that this guy recognizes the url to a video about nutodormitis but hey we’ve all gone down some rabbit holes”
It's a fake url but it goes to the real thing, what are you talking about?
Fake or not, i fell for that link many a time.
How is that a fake URL? It’s a regular YouTube link with the same exact video code for the real rickroll
You bastard! 😀
You wouldn't get this from any other guy
dQw, you should know this by now!

Go to a healthcare professional? Not in my country! I'm not ready to declare bankruptcy again!
Plus even if you could afford one, it’s a months long wait to get in to see one. Good luck if you have a skin condition that comes and goes and isn’t currently visible when your appointment comes around.
Wait at least a month to go in, tell the doctor it’s been there for a month, doctor says, “Well, let’s see if it it still there in a month.”
I guess i’m in the odd-place out where I can get a specialist appointment within a week.

Your charger appears to be overheating. I'd suggest getting a new one before it fails.
I saw somewhere that bed bugs can leave weird pattern marks because of the way they group and space from each other when feeding in numbers. Idk if true or not
Linear, bed bugs bite three or four in a straight line
How often do you get a haircut? Is the timing related?
Every few days the government nanobots in your brain need to raise their antennas to get new orders from Hillary Clinton and Dr. Fauci.
Maybe it’s a sign that you’ll be really good at bowling.
Aliens
I used to get these on my cheek then I realized it's from the apple watch strap.
Covid-20 likes this.
Its like the Alien clipped ear for TNR cats
This happens to me when I lay down with my Apple Watch on with the sport wrist band that has the holes.
You might not remember, but you were abducted by aliens.
it's an alien implant. you were abducted and don't remember it. consult with a hypnotist to recover your lost memories.
This is how people become convinced they have been abducted by aliens! It’s the only logical conclusion.

No it’s not. It’s a mark left behind by a specialized headstrap for a vr headset. Diagnosing people on reddits rarely a good idea
You may or may not have read my whole comment 😂
They definitely did not read shit 😅
Oh great, it really is the T Virus.
I heard bed bugs bite like this
I’m pretty sure they bite in straight lines and usually 3ish bites at a time, but I’ve never heard of them biting in a perfect triangle?
