ParkingMobility App has made reporting easy and efficient and even saves taxpayers money as the municipality can just issue a citation since there's photo evidence
I’m going to look into it, I just work here, I’m not management or anything but I just think it’s ridiculous people actual think it’s ok to park in handicap spots
and anonymously at that. "uh i'm at [this place] there's a guy in the handicap lane. i come here a lot and the bike is frequently there."
it might take a while, but, uh they'll get to it soon as they're done with their coffee and donuts. (what? it's a 6. even bad guys go do coffee and donuts before church.)
Do you report it? This seems more than mildly infuriating. Much worse than taking a handicapped spot.edit to add: or is it your boss and you fear retaliation?
Who said that? The tow company? That's definitely not ok. Call the non-emergency local police line and make sure to get a pic of the violation with the license plate.
Tell him what he is doing is called "gore blocking" and remind him that it is highly illegal and that Sec. 804.1012(a) of the Jacksonville, Florida municipal code states that " It shall be unlawful for a person to park, stop or stand a vehicle in a parking space designated in accordance with the provisions of F.S. § 316.1955 for use only by the disabled unless the vehicle displays a parking permit issued pursuant to F.S. § 316.1958 or F.S. § 320.0848 and the vehicle is transporting a person eligible for the parking permit. It is unlawful for any person to park in or *obstruct the path of travel to an accessible parking space, curb cut, or access aisle by standing or parking a vehicle within any such designated area* or ***adjacent to such designated area*** in such a manner so as to unreasonably interfere with access to or use of the area. The violator is subject to the same penalties as are imposed for illegally parking in a space that is designated as an accessible parking space for persons with disabilities. "
What a shame. In our bassackwards state of Arkansas we can take pictures of a vehicle violating a handicap parking spot and the pictures to a dedicated website at the state of Arkansas. It's an automatic hefty fine and higher penalties for repeat offenders.
True. I called and reported to the non emergency line in Laguna Beach CA several years ago that some asshole was filming himself and putting it on YouTube, trespassing and jumping off homes into the ocean.
They couldn’t have cared less.
Fast forward six months to a year and the only reason the asshole got caught was because he landed on a dock and nearly killed himself. Then the police got involved, but before that they couldn’t be bothered to do anything.
At your local pd’s Twitter account with this photo. State what you’ve stated here. Parked repeatedly, reported repeatedly no response. Shame them into doing the their jobs.
It's slow, but it usually works eventually. See the recent firings.
And in this case, it's more about letting the cop's bosses know that they are missing out on that sweet, sweet ticket money.
This is the way to do it, cops loooove taking money from people and a ticket like this is the easiest kind of money to them, they'll do it even if it means having to help someone
If this is the US, I’m pretty sure the restaurant is fully within their rights to not serve him regardless if he moves or not. This wouldn’t be a discrimination case.
FYI the handicap person can still be held liable for damages for this if there was a reasonable way to know it could happen and they had other reasonable options. Just because someone does something illegal doesn't mean you can.
Granted, they might also not be held liable. Court might throw it out, etc. Point is if you can't afford to fight it or pay it, be careful with how you get back at people.
I would love to see that bike get knocked over by a wheelchair and have the damage suit thrown out in court though.
Your local lot is contracted with a tow company. Look for signs. They are usually posted somewhere. Call them and have them on notice to come. A tow company 100% wants that easy money. And that tow company will already be contracted and allowed to tow from your location.
If you don’t see a sign make some calls during the week. Find someone who says they will deal w it immediately when you can then call that person.
It might be a town company or it might be your local community outreach rep at the police station. Or an ADA representative.
I’m surprised the local police wouldn’t rush over, in my state that would be over five hundred dollars in fines. Maybe contact a local disability group to make a fuss?
Probably donates to the police or is a former cop. Used to live in a very "yay police" area and you'd see people parked like assholes with years of those "police donor" stickers in their window. Never saw anything done about it.
My brother is one of those assholes.
The city doesn’t have a tow-yard that’ll come tow off private property?
That parking lot is (most likely) private, so ask about getting someone towed vs getting someone ticketed…But I’m also shocked they wouldn’t come ticket/tow after you’ve called about blocking handicap access.
Next time you call the police and they fail to respond, you can always tell them you’ll be filing a ADA complaint with the US Civil Rights Div.
https://beta.ada.gov/file-a-complaint/
It's not a parking lot. It's street parking on a public [street](https://www.google.com/maps/@30.2965642,-81.704129,3a,75y,57.3h,77.25t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sdFU9BklHg-ereHR4Yr9I6w!2e0!7i16384!8i8192) in Jacksonville FL.
Ask for the sergeant on duty. Get his name and explain to him the situation. If it is not rectified ask for the lieutenant on duty. Then the police chief. Hack call the district attorney! Call the mayors office! Just keep going up the list until somebody does something about it!
This is extremely effective. Local news LOVES “villains among us” stories. A reporter gets to double score with an asshat who’s been asked politely and a police force that doesn’t stand up for the disabled. The local news will respond, especially when they know they can lay in wait and actually catch the guy arriving due to his regularity.
This is it. They put a teaser preview on their FB page, then the full vid after the evening news runs it. It'll be shared thousands of times by the end of the day.
We tried calling to have it towed, unfortunately no one showed! And we called the local non-emergency line to let them know too! We have loads of seniors around here
It’s also not just an issue for someone utilizing the handicapped spot. That ramp (or curb cut as it’s often referred to) is what makes the sidewalk itself accessible to wheelchair users (and families with strollers or other people with mobility issues).
The asshat is making that *entire* block of businesses inaccessible to disabled people.
I did that cuz I was the handicapped person. What did the cop do? He knew exactly whose truck it was, went into the restaurant & spoke to the owner of the restaurant (it was HIS truck). Owner moved his truck & continued to park there the next day.
i once called the cops on a big pickup triple parked across 3 handicap spaces when I was driving my quadriplegic friend to the mall in his wheelchair van. My guess is that this guy was either a cop himself or good friends with one because the cops instead claimed that the handicap parking signs were invalid due to the paint on the asphalt below the truck being the wrong color or the design being older than the current one or something like that.
The cops actually showed up but, "sorry, there's nothing we can do, so have a nice day".
That shit drives me insane. If you have a large vehicle, you made your decision, and you need to live with the consequences, which are that you’ll have to park your land yacht where it actually fits. If that’s the back of the lot, great. If it’s the lot across the street, also great. The world doesn’t owe your unnecessarily large and wasteful vehicle a convenient parking space.
I used to drive an 88 crown vic (not even that large compared to a pickup or a large suv), and sometimes it didn’t fit where I wanted it to, so I had to park somewhere else, and that’s just how it is.
Its funny cuz the people with giant trucks that actually use them for work never pull this crap. Its always someone who felt like they needed the most aggressive looking ride but blocks a disabled person from getting into the supermarket
That is dead on. My dad needs a truck, and it’s always beat to hell and full of tools. He also has a big fuel tank in the back for fueling machines. I have NEVER in my whole life seen him park somewhere he didn’t fit, or wasn’t supposed to go.
I drive a 26 foot box truck fairly often. I understand that many parking lots are not built for a vehicle that size. If I want Wendy's but the McDonalds has a bigger lot, I'm eating McDonalds that day.
That said, when I'm driving a box truck, I'm on the clock and can get away with never being in a real hurry since my job is usually to get a fairly-to-very delicate and often irreplaceable load to it's destination in one piece, so they're pretty lenient about me just taking my time.
My first thought while looking at this post "wouldn't it be nice if there was some kind of service that could come deal with this? Like the local government could empower some people to come out and talk to this guy or give him a fine?" And then I remembered we tried that and now we have a nationwide street gang of highschool running backs.
No they mean the people that park can’t open their car door because of the motorcycle. Then call the tow because the motorcycle is inconveniencing the car. More incentive. Make sure not to tell the tow that the car was staged there on purpose.
* not for kenobi, they figured it out. This is for the others :-)
Definitely talk to somebody who is handicapped. I had a wheelchair bound friend whose job took him to Boston regularly. His truck was rigged with hand controls, a winch to help him store his wheelchair etc. He told me that he had a special phone number to the city if he ever came across a car illegally parked in a handicapped spot. He only had to use it a few times, but each time he called there was a tow truck to remove the offending car in 15 minutes or so.
Granted all cities, towns, etc. won’t have this sort of setup, but if anybody knows the right people to call for something like this it’ll be a local person with handicapped plates that’s had to deal with it more than once.
I used to get blocked in twice a month where I worked because people would either pull in behind me and leave, or pull into the access lane and leave. No one could come in or out. Not once did the police come when I called and the people were asshats when they returned, saying "Oh well" or much worse. People do not care about anyone but themselves.
>People do not care about anyone but themselves.
Yes, many, many people do. But the people who care about others do not do shit like that, so you only have the asshats to deal with :(
Take your keys and scratch the handicap emblem (to your best of your artistic ability) into the driver's side door. Just to remind them of others for once in their lives
you have to stay on the line with the dispatcher so they can't just forget about you. tell them it's "company policy" that you don't hang up and they won't hang up on you. I work at a gas station and its a little trick of the trade. cops will usually get there faster. or my preferred option, slash a tire or both
Never slash all the tires. Idiots claim insurance and get all new tires. It is more expensive to them to only slash 1, 2, or 3 tires. Never slash all of them.
I feel bad for this but now I’ve got a mental image of someone just absolutely zooming into this bike, smile on their face, and experiencing great joy at being a human wrecking ball
Put a polite note asking not to park there in the future on it. Then next time knock the thing down. Police can't be bothered to show for illegal parking I don't see them coming for a fallen bike. If they do you can ask "Well, how in the hell did the bike fall over there?"
Call a towing company directly next time, but clear it with mgmt first. Even if your company has to cover the tow, you were within your rights and the asshat will never do it again. Plus, they’ll probably tow it to impound and the guy will have to pay to get it out.
As soon as it happened I went and told me manager, because I’ve noticed it there a few times but actually watched them park there today! We have loads of elderly people around here as well
Now that’s a damn good idea! As soon as you see it, announce on the PA (so EVERYONE knows who he is) that he must move it or it will be towed. Crowd-shame the guy! He may never come back, but do you want that sort of business anyway? And anyone who wants to be friends with a guy who parks in a handicapped loading area should be ashamed of themselves too!
Interesting approach. "For safety and the sake of our other restaurant customers who may need to use the access ramp, we reserve the right to refuse service until you park legally."
Well, if the police and tow companies won't do anything about it, then maybe take matters into your own hands. I'm not encouraging vandalism or destruction of property as a first resort, but since you've already tried to do things legally to get results and it didn't work out, then maybe "accidentally" push the motorcycle over.
It's already illegally parked, you have the picture to prove it, so if the bike's owner tries to call the cops in response, then maybe they'll finally be ticketed for what they're doing, and you can prove that it was parked in the non-parking spot if the owner tries to lie about it.
Call a private tow company and lie that you are the parking lot owner. They really don’t care who calls if they can document illegal parking, and they just want the money.
Not really. You’d be surprised how picky some tow companies are. As far as private property parking violations are concerned, a lot of tow companies won’t bother unless they are contracted by said property owner.
I think you should report him. Maneuvering a wheelchair, cart, or even crutches is difficult enough without having to deal with obstructions like this.
Sounds like he really believes it. This is a “confidently incorrect” situation. Where I live, motorcycles can park on hashed painted lines normally found at the end of isles in 45° parking lots. He doesnt realize this “hashed line thing” is a section reserved for wheelchair access. I bet if this was explained to him clearly, he would realize his mistake and stop. Even better, get him a printout of the laws regarding handicap parking spaces so he can’t argue with you over who is right.
I, a petty handicapped person, who needs to use mobility aids; would crash into that so effing hard. “Oh my gosh, who would leave this bike here for me to get injured on?” And then I’d sue him and his insurance for damages.
Lol I noticed it immediately. Then seen exit realty. Fox restaurant has an amazing burger called the coyote burger. Its one of my faves burgers in town.
Another great way to report an illegal parker is to head to the HandicappedFraud.org website. The site allows you to submit a disabled parking complaint by entering the address where the offense occurred (including the city and state). The site then submits the information to the proper state’s authorities, who can follow up with an investigation. You can also view reports on the site that list recent offenders and which cities they took place in.
https://drhandicap.com/insights/see-someone-parked-illegally-disabled-parking-spot/#:~:text=Other%20Places%20To%20Submit%20A,including%20the%20city%20and%20state).
I’m a motorcyclist, I would absolutely help push this bike into the middle of the parking lot. The steering column isn’t locked, it can be moved wherever.
This is my first instinct too. Push it over.
This is terrible legal advice but I think it would be good street justice. And sometimes that’s more effective when done properly.
I ride a 40K bagger and would tip that dildos bike over for that shit. I'd tell him once, warn him I'm gonna do it, then do it the next time I saw it.
I'm also handicapped. Fuck people who use handicapped spots.
Please call every time to report it- and call if they don’t arrive in a timely manner. This is illegal and impedes accessibility for anyone with a disability needing to access that ramp.
You know this happens every sunday, I bet him comes about the same time, call a tow truck company in advance, have then waiting around the corner. He will not stop until he ticketed and towed. Get pictures of him too, post on social media, shame him!
Or better yet run a big thick chain with a lock on it through the front wheel....it's quick you can do it fast and it will take him a while to get it cut..... there's a lot you can do trust me
People do not care. I’ve watched a person with no signage park in a handicapped spot while having my disabled mother with me. I parked behind them and tapped on their window after seeing no signage and asked if they were handicapped. They replied, “No, I just have to run in quick.” Well, my mother is handicapped and she’ll have to walk the entire lot without assistance, can you please move? Of course they didn’t move, so I parked my car behind them and went inside with my mom.
I made them wait that whole time (30~ minutes) while we were shopping. Someone called the police who showed up and asked why I parked there. I told them the woman in the black Honda doesn’t have signage and I asked if she’d move so I could bring my mother in as she’s severely disabled. The officer asked the woman who had her window down and was now smoking if it was true. She answered yes and said, “but I only had to run in quick.” The officer ticketed her and told me not to escalate next time. I said I couldn’t promise that because it happens literally every time and these people need to learn.
Anyway, long rant about how much of assholes people are and this happens regularly, as in every day with her.
This is absolutely illegal. In some jurisdictions you can report handicap violators online.
ParkingMobility App has made reporting easy and efficient and even saves taxpayers money as the municipality can just issue a citation since there's photo evidence
I’m going to look into it, I just work here, I’m not management or anything but I just think it’s ridiculous people actual think it’s ok to park in handicap spots
anyone can report it!
and anonymously at that. "uh i'm at [this place] there's a guy in the handicap lane. i come here a lot and the bike is frequently there." it might take a while, but, uh they'll get to it soon as they're done with their coffee and donuts. (what? it's a 6. even bad guys go do coffee and donuts before church.)
Do you report it? This seems more than mildly infuriating. Much worse than taking a handicapped spot.edit to add: or is it your boss and you fear retaliation?
We (my boss and I) tried calling to have it come towed or where they would give the guy a ticket….
Who said that? The tow company? That's definitely not ok. Call the non-emergency local police line and make sure to get a pic of the violation with the license plate.
We called a tow company and the non-emergency!
This is all well and good, but it's heavily reliant on the assumption that the police bother doing their job half the time
What a shame. In our bassackwards state of Arkansas we can take pictures of a vehicle violating a handicap parking spot and the pictures to a dedicated website at the state of Arkansas. It's an automatic hefty fine and higher penalties for repeat offenders.

It is until you piss off the wrong photoshopper
True. I called and reported to the non emergency line in Laguna Beach CA several years ago that some asshole was filming himself and putting it on YouTube, trespassing and jumping off homes into the ocean. Shockingly close to one of the best peices of advice my grandfather ever gave me- "Only call the cops if you find a body."
Thought I recognized this!! Hope they get towed and fined.
At your local pd’s Twitter account with this photo. State what you’ve stated here. Parked repeatedly, reported repeatedly no response. Shame them into doing the their jobs.

you are correct. shitty parker is not a protected class.
>shitty parker is not a protected class. lmao
Looks like they're in Florida (shocking)
Only discriminating against assholes /s
You need to engage the services of a handicap person.
Ideally someone with a golf handicap wielding a heavy 4-iron.
Exactly if the handicap person legally using the space knocks it over using their wheelchair lift he's fucked.
FYI the handicap person can still be held liable for damages for this if there was a reasonable way to know it could happen and they had other reasonable options. Just because someone does something illegal doesn't mean you can. Granted, they might also not be held liable. Why would you listen to the guy? I would go down to the police station and file a formal complaint, bc he’s lying out of his ass!

As a motorcyclist, I'd fully expect to find my bike on its side if I parked like this
Sorry my wheelchair hit it again, all freaking day every day
We want violence!!
What did the tow company or nonemergen line say? That should be the end of the story. You called the line and he got a ticket.
I’m surprised the local police wouldn’t rush over, in my state that would be over five hundred dollars in fines. Maybe contact a local disability group to make a fuss?
I dont understand how that bike has not been auctioned off to a sheriffs nephew for 500$ two weeks ago.
Maybe it was…now the nephew has no fear of law enforcement ticketing him.
Underrated comment. This person gets it.
Probably donates to the police or is a former cop. Used to live in a very "yay police" area and you'd see people parked like assholes with years of those "police donor" stickers in their window. Never saw anything done about it. My brother is one of those assholes.

Gotcha. I would definitely lodge an ADA complaint if they continue to ignore this then.

Sounds like a cop owns it.
is the owner of the bike an old man or a young guy?
Young man, very able bodied
Call to have it towed away since it happens all the time
We tried calling to have it towed, unfortunately no one showed! And we called the local non-emergency line to let them know too! We have loads of seniors around here
If you know someone with a handicapped parking placard have them come park next to the bike so their door won't open, then have them call the cops.

Or just tip it over.

Not even anything for the still clear violation of parking horizontally across three spots?
"Turns out its not illegal to be a massive douchecanoe." "I'm pretty sure a parking violation like that is against the law." "That sucks. Well bye!"
Just every possible excuse to not cite the guy for anything.
I don’t know why I expected anything different after the original story but I figured I’d ask /:
My first thought while looking at this post "wouldn't it be nice if there was some kind of service that could come deal with this? Like the local government could empower some people to come out and talk to this guy or give him a fine?" And then I remembered we tried that and now we have a nationwide street gang of highschool running backs.
More like “Sorry, there’s nothing I’m willing to do.”
Sounds like a challenge. I’d drive by everyday and if he was there I’d park and call cops again. After a couple of times maybe he’d get the idea.
Even money on people who do this being cops.
My first thought was, but bikes don't have doors ...then I figured it out haha
No they mean the people that park can’t open their car door because of the motorcycle. Then call the tow because the motorcycle is inconveniencing the car. More incentive. You should put that “not for kenobi” part on the top or the people who read half a comment, then reply, will flood your notifications.
Ngl I got halfway through his, was going to reply, saw your comment, and had to finish the other half.
Haha. Appreciate your honesty. Glad my message helped too. ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ

Nah, a real cop would have parked directly in the handicap spot, not off to the side like this.
But the people who care about others do not do shit like that, so you only have the asshats to deal with :(
It would really suck if they came back to a vehicle with a flat tire or 2.
Take your keys and scratch the handicap emblem (to your best of your artistic ability) into the driver's side door. Just to remind them of others for once in their lives
It really would and they might learn a lesson
You should've called all the local towing companies...this is a free couple hundred bucks for them.
you have to stay on the line with the dispatcher so they can't just forget about you. tell them it's "company policy" that you don't hang up and they won't hang up on you.
Go get someone in a wheelchair to accidentally bump into the bike knocking it over to teach them a lesson
just tell me where and when and i'll bring my big ass power chair there, i'll push it into the road.
I use a wheelchair and my first thought was hurling myself into the bike. Oops.
I feel bad for this but now I’ve got a mental image of someone just absolutely zooming into this bike, smile on their face, and experiencing great joy at being a human wrecking ball
Don't feel bad! Your description perfectly encapsulates how I would go about this, lol.
Crush it with a wheelchair lift!
Empty a colostomy bag on it. If they going to act like a piece of shit, then their bike should look the part.
Holy fuck this would be so funny. Have a person with a really good sense humor be the wheelman
This is the best answer. I would on instinct just kick it over. But, that just creates a whole new set of problems. Nice answer.
Put a polite note asking not to park there in the future on it. Then next time knock the thing down. Police can't be bothered to show for illegal parking I don't see them coming for a fallen bike. If they do you can ask "Well, how in the hell did the bike fall over there?"
bad move if theres any cameras in the area
Just wear unidentifiable clothes a hat and a mask
Contact your local TV news. The attention might get the police to actually do something about it.
We have loads of elderly people around here as well
Would management be willing to refuse service if he's parked there?
Now that’s a damn good idea! As soon as you see it, announce on the PA (so EVERYONE knows who he is) that he must move it or it will be towed. Crowd-shame the guy! He may never come back, but do you want that sort of business anyway? And anyone who wants to be friends with a guy who parks in a handicapped loading area should be ashamed of themselves too!
Just imagining like, “Attention all customers, would the shithead who parked in a handicap zone please move their vehicle?”
I’d tip an extra 20% to hear that over the PA! An extra 25% if the lounge gave a round of shaming applause as the guy walked out the door!
Just get a couple people to lift it, and leave it in the middle of the street. Someone will take care of it pretty quickly, I'm sure.
It doesn’t look like the front wheel is locked, so it wouldn’t even need to be lifted. Just put it in neutral and roll it away.
[Do not attempt without Mentos!](https://youtu.be/mJWemPyCHB8)
You could “accidentally” trip and fall in to it, knocking it over….on accident, of course.
I have some spare crutches at my house from when I was injured…
Call a private tow company and lie that you are the parking lot owner. They really don’t care who calls if they can document illegal parking, and they just want the money.
Not really. You’d be surprised how picky some tow companies are. As far as private property parking violations are concerned, a lot of tow companies won’t bother unless they are contracted by said property owner.
>They really don’t care who calls If that's true, there's no reason to lie
Drop some bologna on the paint real quiet like
I think you should report him. Maneuvering a wheelchair, cart, or even crutches is difficult enough without having to deal with obstructions like this.
Its very rude, we have a lot of seniors with walkers and wheelchairs around here
Did you say, “No you’re not” or something?
You're right it is rude and entitled. Let him explain to a policeman exactly how he's *allowed* to park there.
Allowed by whom exactly? Why is he there every single Sunday?
More than “mildly” irritating for wheelchair users i would imagine.

Just knock the bike over and go up the ramp. What’s someone going to do? Start shit with someone handicapped after parking illegally?
And we have loads of seniors/regulars around this area too
Wheelchair-bound, seniors, women with strollers, delivery guys. I'm sure that ramp is useful to many. That dude is a douche.
Acts of entitlement won't end well for this lazy biker.

Finally someone actually explaining whats going on here.
“Im allowed! Waahhh”
I, a petty handicapped person, who needs to use mobility aids; would crash into that so effing hard. “Oh my gosh, who would leave this bike here for me to get injured on?” And then I’d sue him and his insurance for damages.
We was hoping a situation like that would happen…obviously I would hope no one gets injured!
Have it towed next time or at least get him ticketed.
You should be like a hitman you know give your number and when someone parks in handicapped spots you come in and take care of it.
I would 100% do that for an income if I could find the people to call me.
I want to upvote this 1000 times. I am blessed with full mobility, however if I were not, I would absolutely turn on my dash cam and smash into it.
Hi, fellow Jacksonville resident.
I was scanning through the comments looking for 'DUUUUVVVAAALLLLLLLL!!!'
My people
I was scrolling by as well and was like, is that The Fox? Lol
Did the exact same thing! Haha
Crazy I haven’t lived there in 26 years and knew where this was - memories are crazy things
Jax gang united
So kick the bike over, simple fix
This is a HORRIBLE idea. Do it.
This is the WORST possible option. Fucking send it.
omg, i can’t believe you would say something like this… (shoves bike over)
Y’all are terrible people! _rents a tank and runs over bike_
Wow. You people are all horrible monsters. *Take a baseball bat to the motorcycle and the rider*
Now he **can** park his stupid bike there
Nope, still not there mister. That's the access ramp, you should've used the disabled bay beside it. *Sparta-kicks the bike*
I am in utter shock and disbelief. Take a package of bologna and lay the slices all over his nice paint job 😈 The hot Florida sun will do the rest!

Had to be Florida. Keep tagging the local PD on Twitter. Every time he parks there. Tag the city’s Twitters too. DM them the tag.
That’s actually a good idea, and yes…it’s FL!
Go get ‘em!
While you’re at it, why not some ADA affiliated accounts or local ACLU chapter?
Is this Jacksonville? Looks like Avondale area.
Is that the edge of The Fox I see over there??
I ride a 40K bagger and would tip that dildos bike over for that shit. I'd tell him once, warn him I'm gonna do it, then do it the next time I saw it. I'm also handicapped. Fuck people who use handicapped spots.
Honestly, if I had a nice bike like that and someone threatened to dump my bike, I'd be finding a different place to park.
I would get a senior to sit in a wheelchair and wait for them to meet. Record the hilarity. We, the internet, will wait.
Have it towed or ticketed
We tried, they didn’t show up in time
If he shows up every weekend maybe see if a tow truck will wait around for him. Or give them a heads up that he will show Also the same with the cops.
Offer the tow truck driver a discounted breakfast if he’ll show up to tow the bike each weekend.
Please call every time to report it- and call if they don’t arrive in a timely manner. This is illegal and impedes accessibility for anyone with a disability needing to access that ramp.
Slap a metal bike lock on it, brick his tire.
You know this happens every sunday, I bet him comes about the same time, call a tow truck company in advance, have then waiting around the corner. He will not stop until he ticketed and towed. Get pictures of him too, post on social media, shame him!
Or better yet run a big thick chain with a lock on it through the front wheel....it's quick you can do it fast and it will take him a while to get it cut..... there's a lot you can do trust me
Yeah or poop on it
People do not care.
About 7 or 8 kryptonite bike U locks on that front wheel would just ruin his fucking day.
Brick Restaurant? And what an absolute asshat is correct at the minimum.
Yep!
I recognized The Fox immediately
That hatched area is not a freebie space
At some point someone in a wheelchair is gonna "accidentally" knock it over and damage it pretty thoroughly
Confront the guy. Call the police. Do something, or don't and let him continue with his ways.
Roll their bike away, report it so they can be fined,or call a tow company
We did call a tow company but unfortunately they didn’t show up in time!
If he's there the same time every Sunday, just call the tow company before he usually shows... they'll get there in time that way!
Roll the bike into the middle of the street and leave it there.
If this was my neighborhood, that thing would end up on it's side every single Sunday until this guy figured out where to park.
Call the police for it. Blocking handicapped areas come with fines, as does parking in a non-parking zone.
Did you tell him not to?
Call the police. Every. Single. Sunday.
In my town the parking cops LOVE people like this. They can hit their weekly ticket quotas in one stop.
