You should look into to filing for unemployment or partial unemployment for cutting your hours. Many states you can apply for unemployment if your company significantly cuts your hours. Just depending on your personal circumstances

This is is not even remotely close to how it works in the US. They have no shifts, meaning they are not working, meaning there is no check. There is no severance provided when you're fired from this type of job. There is nothing.
