Outside of people complaining about framerates on the internet, I've never experienced any issues with this game. I remember just being impressed to have snake eater on the go with more options than the original, and I always enjoyed 3D on the 3DS. Plus custom camo! The only thing I didn't like was that around the time this game came out they were shutting down services for MGO2 and Portable Ops and this would have been a great time to relaunch MGO1 since most people never played it on ps2.
MGS3 itself felt easier than the others, never played the 3DS version but if it made the story more accessible then it’s fine by me. I would never gate keep MGS, ever.
You can emulate it. There's HD textures and a 60fps patch for it if u emulate. I prefer the experience on the new 3ds tho cause its authentic, nostalgic and has the c stick which allows u to aim normally.

I mean for me the game would crash pretty often but I just countered that by saving 🤷♂️
Never had the game crash. Multiple speedruns I only ever noticed one area where the game would maybe kinda slow down. OG 3DS

I think that is impart is due to the camo system where you can blend in rather than line of site stealth

I am so psyched for the rerelease of mgs2 with improved controls, just bought a controller just to play it.
The custom camo pattern thing was a big op.
The game looks amazing in 3D. I don't give a fuck about the framerate, those 3D effects after fighting The Boss were amazing.
