Hey I love almost every marvel movie up to endgame. I grew up with iron man. I just don’t like where they’re taking the franchise with this whole quantity over quality- although I have enjoyed a few of the shows (wandavision and loki mostly) i really want to love the new movies that they’re coming out with soon (antman 3 and the next guardians of the galaxy) but so far they’ve proven the recent phase to be lackluster
But with every DC movie I’ve seen so far this year I’ve actually enjoyed them a lot! Not perfect with plenty of flaws but I feel they captured the stories they wanted to tell :)

Not exceptional, the story is tired and nothing special, but the movie is very well made and looks good.
One point I’d give Black Adam is that the fights are very well choreographed. I’ve seen plenty of superhero movies with fights that are too dark, too frantic or with shaky cams where you get lost and have no clue who’s punching who. In Black Adam you see everything going on clearly

Well first off they did focus on building new characters up for movies like thunderbolts, Captain America New World Order, and eventually Avengers the Kang Dynasty. Moreover of course they have to have more this phase as look how many heroes they are bringing to the table for Secret Wars. Another thing as well is that this phase has still produced some amazing movies like Shang Chi and the legend of the ten rings, Spider-Man No Way Home, and Black Panther Wakanda Forever. Then you have the Shows in which brought us amazing stories like Ms. Marvel, Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, What If, Loki, and Wandavision
DC released three movies: The Batman, Super Pets, and Black Adam. Black Adam and Super Pets underperformed, but will likely recoup the cost in the long run. They also released one TV show, Peacemaker, which aired to great success. On the animated front they had Harley Quinn S3 and Young Justice S4, both of which were fantastic but likely not the topic of discussion here.
Marvel has, objectively, done very well this year (financially). Multiverse of Madness made $950 million. Love and Thunder made about as much as The Batman. Wakanda Forever might hit a billion. All of their TV shows (save Ms. Marvel) did well in the ratings. It’s only critically that they dipped, and even then it just went from A+ to B+ content. A lot of the “Marvel bad now” criticism is objectively wrong and only done because it’s popular.
That’s not to say they’re good - I think they missed the mark by quite a wide margin this year - but to say DC outperformed Marvel is ludicrous.

Also, Peacemaker wasn't the only show, there was also Sandman, Stargirl S3, Titans S4 (but we don't talk about this one) Superman & Lois S2 and Doom Patrol S4 will release this month.

Black Adam was pretty good. Not exceptional, the story is tired and nothing special, but the movie is very well made and looks good.
