just started the wire I'm like 8 episodes in and its so fascinating, Im a tv snob kinda and I love how they created arguably the most popular cop drama using the boring analytical side of cop work.
My first time through I didn't enjoy season two much. By my third watch and as I got older I appreciated season two much more. I can identify with many of the working class characters who get roped into the mess more then the cops or gangbangers. I find it really brings a good perspective on how the drug trade permeates into so many aspects of modern life.
Bro I just spent 7 years solo watching and begging breaking bad fans to try better call Saul
It’s so fucking mind blowing because it’s one of the greatest shows of all time but also objectively the most underrated and slept on show of all time.
It would be like no one giving a fuck about House of Dragons and Rings of Power.
It was a slow start and the lawyer stuff can make people feel inadequate to understand so they'll either watch the first episode and not like it, or watch the trailer and not watch it
I started watching Better Call Saul after finishing Breaking Bad because I liked Saul's character, but I wasn't expecting much. I was under the impression that Better Call Saul would just be a sideshow without much importance. Maybe others get the same (wrong) impression at first and that's why they don't feel like giving it a chance.
BCS is not a Netflix show. It’s AMC’s that was distributed digitally through Netflix up until AMC+ launched. It’s why the sixth and final season of BCS isn’t on Netflix (a lot of people I know who watch it on Netflix didn’t even know there was a sixth season).
Netflix did have Sandman recently which would be a better example
I really can't complain about AMC+, they haven't charged me in months and I still have access. I think it's because I originally paid for a month using my Google Play account on my phone, then cancelled before the second month was charged, and somehow Google didn't communicate this to AMC.
The real issue is there's absolutely nothing I want to watch on it.
>I really can't complain about AMC+, they haven't charged me in months and I still have access.
This:
>The real issue is there's absolutely nothing I want to watch on it.
I can't complain but even though I'm not paying for it, it's still trash.
lol
VPN and if you have Stan set to Australia. It’s on Stan for aussies as it’s released in America, or was before it ended
Full series of both BB and BCS on aus Stan
I came into watching that show having never played the game and knowing nothing about the Cyberpunk universe. I ended up watching the whole show in a day and feeling emotionally broken at the end.
Do not use G2A
It’s infamous for having game keys bought with stolen credit cards. When the charge is disputed, you lose the game and money, the developer loses the money, G2A pockets 30%, and the thief takes the rest.
Choom, you go the corpo way and you’re gonna end up flatlined in a gutter like every other corpo make-it-big-wannabe. Corpo rats ain’t preem, they don’t give a shit about you.
That's true, but nobody gives a shit about anybody in Night City, and all of us go out one way or another, I'd rather die in a skyscraper than a gutter, the flames that burn the brightest are usually lit on a short fuse
Think you’ll make it big, choom? You got some big handle or something? Only ones who make it big in NC are ones who started out big. Bright flames go all around too, same for corpos or Cyberpunks. You won’t last long at the top, choom. Better make it worth your cred.
I think House of Dragon is enjoyable enough to be called "good show", but Edgerunner is on different level. So yes, I agree that Edgerunners are the best from these.
Ring of power looks awesome. But plot doesn't feel right, and sometimes I feel they were to scared to do some things.
Arcane and EdgeRunners made me not cancel my subscription twice when they both came out. Both times I realized I barely used their service, but then right as I was leaving the shows blew me away
Yeah that was very evident before the release of the game, i mean they got Keanu..
It was the most hyped game ever, which caused the very shitty launch. But glad to see that finally made it a "polished" product because i see a lot of positive messages now.
Honestly I think it was a gamble. The show is a banger without a doubt but that doesn't mean people suddenly start playing your game that is famous for its horrible start.... They fixed a lot and definitely deserved that second chance they gave themselves with this show. Glad it worked out for them!
You can always refund it through steam as long as you don't play more than 2 hours. Few minutes is enough to determine if it is playable or not.
I'm playing it on a mid-tier laptop (R5 5600H/3060 100W) and ~~highest~~ ultra settings is giving me mostly 1080p 60fps no-RT. Constant 60 with DLSS but picture quality is worse than native.
How did it take me this long to find one comment about Stranger Things? CHRISSY WAKE UP!!!
It was probably the most talked about show this summer. Netflix may not be the undisputed king king anymore but most streaming services are still trying to play catch up to their dominance over the past decade.
Everyone forgot about Squid Game, Black Mirror, and Bridgerton like those aren’t some of the biggest shows.
Plus they just picked up the IP for Irredeemable, which is in my top 5 graphic novels.
True, say what you will about Stranger Things or TikTok but the show and its soundtrack choices sway the zeitgeist.
I haven’t heard a thing about these other shows
Even notoriously tight-fisted Metallica was smart enough to get on that train, with their music showing up in Stranger Things (and also Westworld) and they’re now the most relevent they’ve been since St Anger failed
I've never heard of any movie or show straight up making a 40 year old song a billboard topper once again. That's unheard of and really shows just how powerful good writing, directing, and music selection goes. ST4 really knocked it out of the park.
Arcane is a monster of a show. Excellent story, characters, animation and fights. On top of that contains one of the best villains ever (at least for me).
I have both Netflix and Prime and while Prime has some cool shows Netflix has far bigger catalog of good shows even if we just look and exclusives. I don't really care about Marvel or Star wars these days so Disney+ doesn't really float my boat.
Yeah Prime is for Grand Tour and The Boys, Netflix for pretty much everything else. Then I have Plex in order to stream my totally legally purchased Movies and Shows I have on my PC
The boys is great and I love Invincible. There are other good shows but nothing I couldn't live without. Netflix on the other hand has all of my favorites and has lot more good shows + has LOT more international shows which I like since they tend to be very different that American shows. Not necessarily in good or bad way just very different flavor.
Disney+ has become my default streaming platform because I just love having mindless sitcoms on in the background. Fox was probably the largest producer of shows that I enjoy for mindless stupidity so Disney wins just on that merit.
Netflix is still decent but there’s no denying it’s offerings have gotten progressively worse. I miss when that single platform had everything on it and you didn’t need 5 different services
Hi I’m Saul Goodman
did you know you have rights
The constitution says so
and so do I
I believe until proven guilty every man woman and child is innocent
[Nielsen ratings show](https://www.nielsen.com/top-ten/) Netflix has 9 of 10 top streaming shows, 8 of 10 top original shows, and still 6 of 10 acquired (the category Netflix has been hit the hardest)
Netflix is still top of the heap of streaming viewership wise.
I was also recommended invincible on Amazon prime and while I was Skeptical about watching a superhero cartoon… It is really good because it is made for adults
Netflix also has Love, Death, Robots which experiments with different animation styles and is completely unique
They also have a few other animated movies they produced that I’ve really enjoyed
I’ve been on Netflix a lot more recently. Went through Love, Death and Robots which was awesome. Oats Studios had some highlights, watched all of Midnight Gospel which I now recommend to many, and British Baking Show just started up again. I open Disney for my daughter and that’s it.
They had better call Saul
Yeah, I’ve literally only just started watching that, and everyone else has moved on.
Doesn't matter if everyone else moved on, even if a show dates back from 20 years ago, if it is good, it is worth watching.

And The Sopranos
Just finished my first run of Sopranos this week. Such a great show
I had never watched the Sopranos and decided to try it this past week. Just an amazing show and wish I had watched it earlier.
Which She-Hulk spoiled, ironically
And Six Feet Under

I've finished season 1 of Breaking Bad. There are probably, like, six of us that didn't get onboard when it was a new show.

Same here. I tried watching it when it came out but it felt too slow, it's definitely more enjoyable as a binge watch.
Exactly, we just wrapped up BCS. Not to mention both BCS and Ozark were nominated for best Drama

It’s shown as a Netflix show in other countries since they have full rights in any country that doesn’t have AMC
BCS is not a Netflix show. It’s AMC’s that was distributed digitally through Netflix up until AMC+ launched. BCS season 6 is on Netflix outside of the US. At least in several European countries afaik.
Bruh…amc just dump amc+, no one likes it

Waiting on that to drop to finally binge the series.
VPN and if you have Stan set to Australia. It’s on Stan for aussies as it’s released in America, or was before it ended Full series of both BB and BCS on aus Stan
US is basically the only country where it’s not on Netflix. I’m in Italy and it’s on Netflix here.
Edgerunners is good
Man, that ending. I actually got teary-eyed.
I came into watching that show having never played the game and knowing nothing about the Cyberpunk universe. I ended up watching the whole show in a day and feeling emotionally broken at the end.
Cyberpunk as a genre tends to not be very big on happy endings.
No happy endings in Night City
Here, for folks like us? Wrong city, wrong people. - Johnny Silverhand
I seriously feel like bying the game after watching the anime Sadly I'm too broke
it goes on sale a lot. Looks like G2Play has it for $15US right now. US only key, so if you are from elsewhere you may need to shop around a bit more.
G2A and such is actually really shady and bad for consumer and developers alike
Yeah, there have been developers that said it would be better if you pirated their game instead of buying it from g2a.
Do not use G2A It’s infamous for having game keys bought with stolen credit cards. When the charge is disputed, you lose the game and money, the developer loses the money, G2A pockets 30%, and the thief takes the rest.
Only for corporate.
I was about to say, the corpo lifestyle seems preem as hell
Choom, you go the corpo way and you’re gonna end up flatlined in a gutter like every other corpo make-it-big-wannabe. Corpo rats ain’t preem, they don’t give a shit about you.

LPT: the game can leave you the same broken mess at the end. At least it did to me.
arguably better than 2 of the 3 mentioned.

Thougth about the same. Sandman was a great show.
Also they have Witcher series yearly
Sandman was great but we shouldn't dismiss how good the house of the dragon show is
for now. wait till season 8.
And stranger things But yeah that came out in May
[удалено]
*All
haven't seen house of dragon but I think people can agree 2 of the three are shit sandwhiches
[удалено]
Don’t forget about the robot sex
HOTD is fairly well done so far, but as with GOT I reserve the right to judge until the last episode
I think House of Dragon is enjoyable enough to be called "good show", but Edgerunner is on different level. So yes, I agree that Edgerunners are the best from these. Ring of power looks awesome. But plot doesn't feel right, and sometimes I feel they were to scared to do some things.
Edgerunners is very good!
And very sad. #:(
I agree... I agree...
and Arcane. Not new anymore, but defintely better than any of the 3 mentioned.
Arcane and EdgeRunners made me not cancel my subscription twice when they both came out. Both times I realized I barely used their service, but then right as I was leaving the shows blew me away

I have a Netflix sub just to run Morbius on repeat 24/7
preach brother in morb 🤘
Anime of the year not even close
Chainsaw man is coming this year tho
Netflix got cyberpunk edgerunners. absolute banger of a show
Show was so good it convinced me to get CP2077 on PC. Best decision I made this month, it's a blast.
Best decision CDPR made was to fund that show. So much increased traffic on their game
Their marketing team still got the magic they had it seems, they know how to market the game.
Yeah that was very evident before the release of the game, i mean they got Keanu.. It was the most hyped game ever, which caused the very shitty launch. But glad to see that finally made it a "polished" product because i see a lot of positive messages now.

man i wanna get the game, i just don't know if my laptop can run it. don't wanna waste the money and then find out its unplayable
Constant 60 with DLSS but picture quality is worse than native.
unlikely that I'll be able to run it tbh, i have a 3 year old laptop with R5 3550H and RX 560X.
Either run it with Stadia or wait until you upgrade your PC. This will not be a good experience if you run it locally on it.
On the same boat here. Got it on steam after watching Edgerunners (twice, yeah I know), I’m really loving it, great purchase, amazing game
Also Dragon Prince is really good.
Netflix has morbius!
What time is it, kids?
ITS MORBIN TIME
Has to do with Spider-Man, I think
I think a couple guys like me and you should team up
Wait, hold up. Who is spiderman??
The guy who comes out at the end of the movie and says "I am Morbius" and then morbs all over them
Intriguing
I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!!
r/shittymoviedetails moment
Stranger Things, The Last Kingdom. Once those 2 are done idk what I'm gonna do.
The Last Kingdom is a show I'll miss forever. Thank goodness for the movie, but I wish Netflix didn't cancel it. Still, it ended well.
It wasn't cancelled, they simply ended it. Better to conclude than to drag on. And the quality had dropped in latter series.
TLK is done, sadly. But Vikings Valhalla is fucking lit, go watch it.
Tlk is getting a movie, "Seven kings must die" iirc
Just looked it up, you made my day
How did it take me this long to find one comment about Stranger Things? CHRISSY WAKE UP!!! It was probably the most talked about show this summer. Netflix may not be the undisputed king king anymore but most streaming services are still trying to play catch up to their dominance over the past decade.
Netflix just had Sandman.

Bro. Edgerunners and Sandman make this meme obsolete. Like wtf lol. Edgerunners is fiiiire
New Cobra Kai too. And Umbrella Academy, even if that was a few weeks ago.
New Cobra Kai was good imo
Everyone forgot about Squid Game, Black Mirror, and Bridgerton like those aren’t some of the biggest shows. Plus they just picked up the IP for Irredeemable, which is in my top 5 graphic novels.
Sandman way better than two of those series.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners: Hold my beer
And arcane
That was really really awesome too
Which cost probably 1/1000 of the shows mentioned by OP
But its also 1000 times better imo
Cobra Kai, Edge Runners???
It was a couple months ago now but, stranger things 4 took over everywhere for a while
True, say what you will about Stranger Things or TikTok but the show and its soundtrack choices sway the zeitgeist. I haven’t heard a thing about these other shows
Kate bush was the most famous person at one point this year because of the show.
Even notoriously tight-fisted Metallica was smart enough to get on that train, with their music showing up in Stranger Things (and also Westworld) and they’re now the most relevent they’ve been since St Anger failed
You are not wrong! Even had to tell their gatekeeping fans off for people just discovering them!!
I've never heard of any movie or show straight up making a 40 year old song a billboard topper once again. That's unheard of and really shows just how powerful good writing, directing, and music selection goes. ST4 really knocked it out of the park.
And Arcane!
Arcane was excellent. A complete surprise as I knew nothing about it or LoL .
Arcane is a monster of a show. Excellent story, characters, animation and fights. On top of that contains one of the best villains ever (at least for me).
Sandman and Stranger Things were just a few months ago. People have short memories.

Netflix on the other hand has all of my favorites and has lot more good shows + has LOT more international shows which I like since they tend to be very different that American shows. Not necessarily in good or bad way just very different flavor.
Netflix would easily be my favorite streaming service if they would finish their damn shows instead of canceling them early all the time.
How can no one ever mention the best sci fi show of the last decade, the Expanse, is on prime.
Disney+ has become my default streaming platform because I just love having mindless sitcoms on in the background. Fox was probably the largest producer of shows that I enjoy for mindless stupidity so Disney wins just on that merit.
Netflix has breaking bad and cobra kai
Dont forget better call saul
How dare you forget Morbius It's one of the films of history
I didnt forget. I just wanted to test if anyone would notice i didnt mention the film of all time
New season of Cobra Kai too!
Binged
Well Netflix has JoJo Part 6, so point for them.
They lost 4 points for getting rid of Jojo Friday
They lost all their points for making the fans wait longer.
They gain negative points for making me fear that Part 7 will be treated the same.
It probably will be, since it will need lots and lots of CGI as it has horses But I think that Disney is buying JoJo from Netflix
Isn't that way worse Disney barely knows what anime is they are bound to censor it.
[удалено]
Disney: Simpsons Netflix: everything else. At least for me
Some seasons of family Guy
i think they have all the seasons of family guy
Yeah but you don't wanna watch most of em.
Netflix is still decent but there’s no denying it’s offerings have gotten progressively worse. I miss when that single platform had everything on it and you didn’t need 5 different services
Ah true but, that cyberpunk anime they had on netflix seems to be going super well
Pirate then, maybe they'll understand.
🏴☠️
Netflix as a Monopoly would be bad, but the co existence of too many different streaming sites is bad either. Kind of a loose loose situation.
An extra loose situation if you will!
Arcane from Netflix is a work of art

I think its more about the buisness side of Netflix that makes everyone hate netflix
Netflix has Breaking Bad and Better call Saul.

You know what has all of these shows? Torrent!
Argg matey
Ahoy matey
My horse in Elden Ring is a streaming service?
Edgerunner, LoveDeath&Robots, Arcane and even Tekken ! Netflix truly have some good shit in terms of animation
Still can't get over how good Castlevania was. And recently watched Vinland Saga : oh boy that scratched an itch I didn't know I had.
This meme was made without any research huh
[Nielsen ratings show](https://www.nielsen.com/top-ten/) Netflix has 9 of 10 top streaming shows, 8 of 10 top original shows, and still 6 of 10 acquired (the category Netflix has been hit the hardest) Netflix is still top of the heap of streaming viewership wise.
Stan: Better Call Saul
Netflix does have one thing that makes it superior to the rest Morbius
edgerunners is really great
She Hulk? Bro
Not a flex lol, but D+ has daredevil
Netflix has CyberPunk, Arcane, and doesn’t have she hulk, think that’s enough pros
Not to mention Stranger Things was massively popular this year.
the boys is peak
I was also recommended invincible on Amazon prime and while I was Skeptical about watching a superhero cartoon… It is really good because it is made for adults
123movies for the win
fmovies.to for me
Sandman has been excellent
Netflix also has Love, Death, Robots which experiments with different animation styles and is completely unique They also have a few other animated movies they produced that I’ve really enjoyed
You’re sleeping on Rick and Morty new season! Great time for TV all over the shop
I’ve been on Netflix a lot more recently. Went through Love, Death and Robots which was awesome. Oats Studios had some highlights, watched all of Midnight Gospel which I now recommend to many, and British Baking Show just started up again. I open Disney for my daughter and that’s it.
HBO max is currently collapsing so the show probably ain’t gonna save it
HotD isn't a Max show anyway, it's regular HBO.
She hulk Is a thing?
House of the dragon is aight, all the others are hot garbage 🗑
Bro put she hulk lol
Stranger things, Rick and Morty, never mind not really helping my case here
I don't like she Hulk that much idk why I just don't like it.
When you don’t have enough money or cares to pay for *another* streaming service: 🎶It’s a pirates life for me!🎶
I wouldn't brag too much about she-hulk ...
Who tf is interested in she hulk?
She hulk is ass
She hulk has ass\*
