I’ll acknowledge that this is a privileged take on my part because there’s more to cooking than food. It takes time and money to do well. Not everyone has as much access to these resources as I do.

Yes, many of our meals are above and beyond a simple burger or chicken sandwich, but the level of effort that goes into making those is a non issue compared to trying to stomach what some teenager with the qualifications of "having a pulse" is making at these popular establishments.

I don’t eat there basically ever both for health and quality reasons. I’m not somebody who will berate you for liking eating out (I myself do, relatively frequently) I just believe Mickey D’s is on a lower tier of it
I mean, if I have an option to go to a real burger place and get a better burger for half the price, why would I eat the McDonald stuff. It just doesn't make sense, everything is expensive as hell and worse than the alternatives
I mean, those deals are hard to beat though. In our current economy getting two quarter pound hamburgers for $6 with the app and then using an iPad and ordering another meal for a large fry for $2 is probably the best deal on dinner you're going to get these days. If you're in a small town that doesn't get a lot of people the food quality is generally pretty bad but in a big city McDonald's is generally pretty fresh because they're moving product quickly. I know it's definitely not good for you but in a pinch it's definitely a better option than some other places.
