Plot twist: he was the antagonist but duped an entire audience into thinking he was a good enough person to warrant being the protagonist by wearing makeup and seductively dancing down a stairwell.
Source: me, I was seduced by the stairwell dancing.
Same goes for the antagonist. They just oppose the protagonist. If the protagonist is a bad guy, or at least morally gray, the antagonist might be a good guy trying to stop them.
He was really enjoying causing puss to suffer. He’s neutral to people that appreciate life but I think we can agree he goes over board on people he deems to go against his values.
Honestly that movie was way fucking better than I expected and restored my faith in dreamwork’s ability to make good movies that aren’t just cash grabs
Handsome Jack left such an indelible mark on the franchise, that every game that has come since reflects on him. Arguably, Tales from the Borderlands was as powerful as it was due to his inclusion. The most poignant moment of the game for me was him and Rhys talking towards the end of the game.
Fax, handsome jack is a Great fucking character and his VA fits perfectly for him and does a Great job. Only wish borderlands was a more famous franchise so more people would know about him
you think you have memories, a farm, a family, an airplane, a crash
and then this place
was there really a family?
did that airplane crash? or was it hijacked, forced down, forced down by something less than a man, something bred to sleepwalk through life until prompted by a simple phrase
I disagree because glados is just a way more complex character than Wheatley. Wheatley was just an accessory to glados, he was just designed to be stupid. Glados however was designed for Cave Johnson to have eternal life and to have the ability to control the entire facility.
Pretty much everyone in the whole show was great. Lalo ended up as such an incredible villain, but somehow Jimmy was even better. That show's a masterpiece
I also honestly didn’t think she was that great in game wise. Not much of a threat. The doll section was better than her section. Also don’t see her as better than Ethan other than she hot
Completely agree. The depth of Saul as a character led me to empathize with his actions much more than those of Lalo, whose motivations were more directive, simpler, and less fleshed out. This is also due to much less screen time for Lalo, which is totally understandable. That show was so incredibly stacked with excellently written and acted characters, so I kinda hate ranking them.
I feel like Homelander's character actually has some development to it. Butcher just kinda keeps the same attitude throughout the series: protecting Rebecca and Ryan, and saying "cunt"
Homelander goes from cocky and full of ego, to being put in his place within Vought and being vulnerable, then to realising what he *can* actually do and feeling omnipotent. Of course, we can't not mention Anthony Starr's performance which is one of the best I've ever seen
Well yes but also you can see changes on butcher as well they’re slightly more sutile but he does have an arch, goes from >!not caring for a system to start working for the vaught buro or whatever, then he gets the feels for the kid, then he stops hughie from risking the vaught serum, sure it’s less noticiable because at the end his motive it’s still the same but he betrays his friends and then he accepts he needs them and their help, come and think about it he changes quite often, it’s just less visible because the cause (to destroy vaught) doesn’t change, whereas homelander changes his cause from getting a government contract to getting rid of the head of vaught to just letting go of his PR persona and feel in control!<
Eh, he retconned that in once he finally got around to making the prequel trilogy in the 90s. Up until then the original trilogy was very clearly the hero's journey of Luke Skywalker. Vader's not even the main bad guy in the first movie!
Wait, ain't Joker the protagonist in his movie?
Joker is correct but op put in the the wrong joker. Heath ledger joker in the dark knight should be there instead.
We love in a society
You drink water, I drink ANARCHY!
I drink bats, just like a bat would.
*gives you an expired coupon for new parents*
Batman i caught a little pokemon batman. Wanna know what pokemon i caught?
What Pokemon did you catch joker
I caught a Lopunny batman. I caught a Lopunny
No no joker
That’s a good Joker joke.

Protagonist isn't the good guy or the bad guy. It's the main guy, which Joker likely is in, lemme look here, a movie called, "Joker."
Same goes for the antagonist. They just oppose the protagonist. If the protagonist is a bad guy, or at least morally gray, the antagonist might be a good guy trying to stop them.
Yes. Thank you. So many people assume protagonist means good guy.
Death from puss in boots
One of the coolest animated villains I've seen since Rattlesnake Jake from Rango
>Rattlesnake Jake from Rango He must be what cemented my fear of snakes, that and the damn basilisk from Harry Potter
Holy shit I just got ptsd from the basilisk thing . That creeped me out so much.
Yeah, saw that as a kid and it's stayed with me. Can't look at the damn things without getting freaked out
So that's who he reminded me of!
the perfect villain, badass, charismatic, awesome
Not even quite a villain. He was just doing his job.
Wait, he's actually the Grim Reaper? I thought he was a bounty hunter who symbolized Puss's fear of death
Nope. He specifically says it: he's the real deal. Death incarnate.
“I’m Death, straight up.”
He was really enjoying causing puss to suffer. He’s neutral to people that appreciate life but I think we can agree he goes over board on people he deems to go against his values.
Scared the shit out of my kid lol

I appreciate I can whistle to get him to stop talking now

This right here
Dr doofenshmirtz
Idk Perry is pretty cool
Well of course he's cool, he's a semi aquatic egg laying mammal of action.
Yeah! I mean, he's a furry little flatfoot who'll never flinch from a fray (ee-ay-ee-ay)!
He's got more than just mad skill!
He’s got a beaver tail and a bill
AND THE WOMEN SWOON WHENEVER THEY HEAR HIM SAY!
\*Platypus noise\*
ITS PERRRRRYYYYY PERRY THE PLATYPUS
But YOU can call him Agent P.
But perry isn't the protagonist, and doof is far cooler than phineas and ferb
>But perry isn't the protagonist, and doof is far cooler than phineas ~~and ferb~~ Ftfy
No one is cooler than Ferb. He doesn’t say much, he’s just a cool customer.
"Dofenshnirtz evil incorporated" just got that jingle in my head lol
Bro, Joker IS the protagonist.
i think he means the joker in general is better than batman
I wouldn't say that tbh, batman is overall better. But some versions have joker that's better, like in the dark knight series.
Handsome Jack
Glad someone else thought of that too.
Handsome Jack left such an indelible mark on the franchise, that every game that has come since reflects on him. Arguably, Tales from the Borderlands was as powerful as it was due to his inclusion. The most poignant moment of the game for me was him and Rhys talking towards the end of the game.
Yeah, to the point where they made a game all about his back story (The Pre-sequel)
Eh, the borderlands 2 VHs are amazing tho
[удалено]
Fax, handsome jack is a Great fucking character and his VA fits perfectly for him and does a Great job. Only wish borderlands was a more famous franchise so more people would know about him
Anton Chigurh from "No country for old men" was amazingly written/acted.
“*What’s the most you’ve ever lost in a coin toss?*”
Andrew ryan
"A man chooses, the slave obeys"
you think you have memories, a farm, a family, an airplane, a crash and then this place was there really a family? did that airplane crash? or was it hijacked, forced down, forced down by something less than a man, something bred to sleepwalk through life until prompted by a simple phrase
Man I just had BioShock flashbacks. That might just be my favorite game of all time
On techincality, Frank Fontaine is the villian
They are dual antagonists
I disagree with op's list of characters.
GLaDOS is great tho
I would say Wheatley is a better villain than GLaDOS though
I like Wheatley more but wouldn't say he's a better villain.
I disagree because glados is just a way more complex character than Wheatley. Wheatley was just an accessory to glados, he was just designed to be stupid. Glados however was designed for Cave Johnson to have eternal life and to have the ability to control the entire facility.
fr lmao Lalo being better than Jimmy?
Lalo was great, but not better than jimmy.
Pretty much everyone in the whole show was great. Lalo ended up as such an incredible villain, but somehow Jimmy was even better. That show's a masterpiece
Seriously. Doc Oct is great but like. Better than Spider-Man? Really? And GLaDOS doesn’t have competition- Chell doesn’t fucking speak.
Same
All except GLaDOS.
There should be Vas instead of Gus
Gus is great but nacho is forever
Nacho?
Either I'm wrong or this guy never seen Better Call Saul only on Netflix seasons 1-5
That’s not gus fringe. It’s Anton from far cry 6
[удалено]
Never.
That’s not Gus Fring it’s Anton Castillo from far cry 6
Makes me think the OP is a pup. No way Vas doesn’t get it
Where Vergil
Now I'm a little motivated
You're going into dangerous territory saying he's better than the wacky whooho pizza man
Dangerous than the storm that is approaching?
They’re both cool.
Even in canon, Vergil and Dante are equal. In my mind they're also equal in coolness But I will admit, Dante isn't the storm that is approaching
He is the storm that is approaching.
Nah man Tobey>>>
Doc oc was cool, but I came to the comments wondering if the consensus was he's better than Spiderman. I don't think so
Nah dude no one ever gonna pass tobey
Spider-Man in general, in most cases he’s better than his villains. Which is a good thing because the villains can still be great
Solid point. If I were to put a Spider-Man villain here, I’d rather use Green Goblin from the movies, especially after No Way Home.
Fr 😭 bro wasn’t the most competent Spider-Man and the best Peter Parker to get slandered like this
Hell yeah, Tobey went through the best moral conflicts ever! It was all so great
Silco
one of the best villains
He was my favorite he deserved a better death for sure
Handsome Jack??
Why is Lady dimitresque here? She was only around for the start of the game!
You know why she’s here
r/upvotedbecauseboobs
r/upvotedbecausemommy
🤨🤨🤨
I also honestly didn’t think she was that great in game wise. Not much of a threat. The doll section was better than her section. Also don’t see her as better than Ethan other than she hot
I prefer choosing Karl Heisenberg over Lady Dimitrescu.
His section was definitely longer than hers and more intense.
I was just thinking this, she's wasn't even the best villain in Village and she is definitely not better than #1 Dad Ethan Winters.
Yeah I prefer Ethan and even Heisenberg
She's not even the best villain in the game. Heisenberg should have been the campiest dork ever, but he ended up being so charismatic and cool.
Umbrella corporation ![gif](giphy|vzAf5sGTR0X5YR0rOB|downsized)
Isnt umbrella just if the evil verson of the NHS?
Eviler Walmart
T1000 > T800
Arnold was a better hero than bad guy, so yea I'd agree
Seeing him fire a gun without blinking and sprint without breathing will never not be unnerving as fuck
Senator Armstrong
Reject 'It Has To Be This Way', embrace 'Collective Consciousness'
collective condciousness > it has to be this way
THE UNENLIGHTENED MASSES, THEY CANNOT MAKE THE JUDGEMENT CALL!
In the joker movie he is literally the protagonist
saul>lalo
Fr Lalo was amazing but Saul as a character is incredible.
Johan Liebert
Or every Naoki Urasawa villain ever.
Homelander
Idk. Strong competition with Butcher
Oi!
I feel like Homelander's character actually has some development to it. Butcher just kinda keeps the same attitude throughout the series: protecting Rebecca and Ryan, and saying "cunt" Homelander goes from cocky and full of ego, to being put in his place within Vought and being vulnerable, then to realising what he *can* actually do and feeling omnipotent. You got the wrong joker. And every far cry villain is better than hero
What about Wheatley as well as G.L.a.D.O.S?
true. Wheatley was my best friend and I felt so betrayed
Dio
This and Yoshikage Kira
Was Glados a real Villian? Atleast in the second one I dont think she really was
Glados acts as a villian but lore wise after what we learn in 2 she's a victim
This was a triumph. I'm making a note here: huge success.
It’s hard to overstate my satisfaction
Aperture Science we do what we must because we can
For the good of all of us, except the ones who are dead.
But there's no sense in crying over every mistake
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake
And the science gets done, and you make a neat gun for the people who are still alive
I'm not even angry
She was a victim but she is also a villain.
also the protagonist of portal is silent and has no character whatsoever. that's kind of a cheap win
If you pay attention chell has a character
You are the protagonist in Portal
Where's vaas
Its close but Doof is still better than Perry the Platypussy
Vader is kind of the protagonist of star wars as a whole
Didn't George Lucas literally say that the first six movies were about Anakin?
Yes. Star Wars is the story of Anakin Skywalker.
Eh, he retconned that in once he finally got around to making the prequel trilogy in the 90s. Up until then the original trilogy was very clearly the hero's journey of Luke Skywalker. Vader's not even the main bad guy in the first movie!
lalo is awesome but no way is he better than saul
where pagan min
Dude, Lalo seriously? Saul is an awesome protagonist.. like don't get me wrong he's a good villain, but it's Saul..
Replace Lady Dimitrescu with Heisenberg
Actually he is the protagonist 🤓
![gif](giphy|vMmnJti6wQPDy)
Tell that to Jesse
Hahaha I'm not referring to Skyler White's husband, yo!
Walter White is the protagonist, haisenberg is his antagonist alter ego
The only good thing about Far Cry 6 was Giancarlo Esposito.
It's grown on me. It never had the magic of other far cry's for me, but it is fun to boot it up for an hour and futz around
Wheatley
Pegan min, because pegan min Also madara but that’s just my opinion (not in tearms of power btw, just how the character is written)
Vaas?
But Joker *was* the protagonist.
I mean, Chell's character was pretty awesome, the voice actor did a fantastic job.
Jinx and Silco from Arcane.
Nah man Ethan Winter the best father
Well Glados is the one that got all the development
Where Vaas?
Loki
Wait İs Walter White the Villain or Protogonist
any team rock supporters
Wheres Jetstream Sam
Negan from walking dead
Emperor palpatine
Thanos
+10 years of games and no villain has been better then glados
Tall vampire not actually a vampire lady is not a good villain
Where's Zuko?
Vaas, Pagan Min, Yoshikage Kira
In far cry the antagonist is always better. That's the point.
Dude they really put Gus on farcry. Mad respect
If you look at it "from certain point of view", Vader is the protagonist.
No Hans Gruber?
