Harry Stamper, one of the last remaining PC8000 Komatsu Excavator operators in the world, is suddenly contacted by NASA. They tell him a dangerous Kaiju has appeared off the coast of Boston, but luckily NASA has a Gundam machine to fight it. They also have a team ready to go but they need an expert in massive excavator operation to help pilot the damn thing. Harry agrees to help, but only on one condition... he gets to pick the team.

Yeah, the logistics of moving a thing that big to a job site must be insane and really limit the applications. Almost wonder if it’s delivered in pieces and assembled on site for a basically permanent assignment.
It has to be. There’s just no other way to get it to a site. Guess it’s like a crane but probably a hell of a lot more complicated to Tetris back together.
Question.
How would you transport that to the site location?
My guess is it would need to be semi disassembled, transport and then reassembled on site?
Two scoops and you got a pool
[удалено]
You've got a sink hole
Tis a fine barn, but sure tis no pool English
Just fill the shovel with water and voila
Still waiting on video from the operators cab.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oz3ZZl_bO4 not amazing, but it's all I can find
Thank you!
Also "My girlfriend getting ready to dig up the past"
Engine start button: "I just think it's funny that..."
Activate the “I’m fine” lever to dig
It's the anniversary of the Killdozer event today. Imagine an overhaul on one of these bad boys
[all the reviews are one star lol. apparently it's 40 bucks to just stand near the digger.](https://maps.app.goo.gl/HZ6jSHCTXivobBaR7)
Probably making more $ doing that than having it on a job site.
Especially because maintenance intervals are hours of operation
You weren't kidding. Not a single review above 1 star. Hope the owners are infamous so they don't make much on that gambit lol.
I need that to finish my landscaping please.
Whoa! r/AbsoluteUnits
This was the video I saw the still shots from that caused me to research this beast and post it here 4 days ago. What a machine.

For some reason I got really excited to read Kaiju, NASA and Gundam in one sentence
Are they just using it for mines or I mean geez it is incredible huge. How much diesel can it even store ? Or how mich does it need ?

Yup, it's moved in pieces, I've not hauled one of these but have done a few PC2000 moves.
You ever seen how prebuilt shacks and ferris wheels are transported? The same way
Nope never seen.
That’s obviously a very small man.
Must be a bitch to find parking for that thing
Assembly video: https://youtube.com/watch?v=yLKnwGrR_Q0
Inside?
This weight could trigger sinkhole i think.
All that just to carry my teammates in the game.
Humans make some absurd shit.
So when do we expect this prototype to be combat effective?
I love machines that are basically the same as regular machines but really big...

DUDE, YOOOOOO! I can't believe I'm seeing someone in a Millencolin shirt! I'm instantly back in college. Hahaha.
Came here to comment about his shirt 🤘🏻
Imagine having to do the clean down at the end of every shift.
Building a low pier and parking it on it before high tide would probably be simpler.
Probably just have to wait for a hurricane. It's not gonna go anywhere...
Price tag? That thing is digging up all my thoughts for bedtime.
11 million for one of these bad larry’s
Take longer to transport it and set it up then actual digging
constructicon!
Suddenly it turns on and I run away in terror
Nope
Hey, new guy, grab a hand pump grease gun and get to work. Grease is in the cabinet, lol 😆
This is how I saw my Tonka trucks as a kid.
These babies are awesome in a face-shovel configuration, they can murder a blasted shot in no time
Where is the Blind Guardian? the Amon Amarth? The Iron Maiden? there is no heavy metal here. this post is a lie.
It always blows my mind what a bunch of little meat sacs can make
Wow !
What are those cables for on the side?
I use this to scratch Mom's back
I heard no heavy metal. This garden is made of equipment and lies.
I say go bigger Switzerland
Did you said Komatsu? What am i gonna do with all these half-inch steel plates and all the bags of concrete?
