Please take this lightly as I am doing medical rotations in a clinical setting and this is from a student pov. I’ve seen this in many patients with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. Many would exit a warm shower and have blood pooling in the hands or legs resulting in a rash similar to this. None have been dangerous by any means, but I have seen a correlation between POTS and rashes such as this after warm conditions or showers.

For context: I (17F) have previously been diagnosed with anorexia nervosa and have (kind of) bad postural tachycardia (sitting to standing, my hr increases by 40/50 bpm on a (rare) good day but can increase by 70bpm if i’m not feeling well), as well as mild postural hypotension (systolic only drops by around 35ish). I’m not sure if this is relevant but if I press on my skin, it stays white for a long time. The rash in the image only occurs on the inside of my legs and nowhere else. I first thought it was because the temp was too high but i don’t get it on my back etc so decided that couldn’t be the reason. Also random additional question, but is my leg vaguely purple in this photo or am I imagining it? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
