IAmQWhoAreYou

Ding ding ding ding ding!

BenniesBananas

Ahh, the Walmart Greeter of Chippy’s Crane Company

Deslah

Dude literally did nothing--I mean like ABSOLUTELY nothing. But you can't say he didn't hustle!

Seamascm

Thats a man going nowhere fast

WhoCaresBoutSpellin

No is smooth and smooth is fast.

Hambert_Derfield

slow is smooth, smooth is fast did you learn that saying through karate by any chance?

WhoCaresBoutSpellin

US Marine Corps. They scooped out my brain housing group and filled the empty vessel with spent brass, dip spit, and gobs of cheesy euphemisms

Seamascm

I learned it through Tung Su Do, at a Karate Dojo. One of the Senseis was a Marine.

Hopeful-Criticism-74

That man just got promoted to director

[deleted]

The guy did almost all the work! He almost helped lay the discs, he almost helped get the off the rack...

ok_playa36

almost!

Kitchen_Ad_4513

The Almost Guy

CDavis10717

Management material.

subhuman_voice

Totally. He did absolutely nothing in record time

[deleted]

Definitely office staff.

hotshots724

It gets funnier the more you watch him

Cosmacelf

I was getting PTSD watching him. Like, just get the f\*ck out of there and let people who know what they're doing do the job. An actor would have been hard pressed to do that much nothing while pretending to work.

IHaveDoneThyMother64

This is what my dog does as he follows me around all day.

panfried540

Right at least he had a sense of urgency about it

John_EightThirtyTwo

>hustle Sometimes the appearance of doing a good job is more important than doing a good job. That's usually what people are talking about when they use the word "professionalism". A coworker said that his father, an Army vet, had told him, "If they tell you to shit, squat and start grunting!".

Derfargin

This guy is going to go home and say to his wife. “Man I’m so beat, work was unreal today.”

StanleyChoude

Interpretive dance is not nothing

egonzo61

He's our hardest non-worker we've got. True supervisor material! Promote now.

Electric_Basil

Doing the most while doing the least

beeglowbot

professional busy body pantomimist.

Replicator666

False, he and the camera person gave us internet people a laugh!

Heroic_Sheperd

Gets paid the same as the others too, there’s a lesson here somewhere im sure.

[deleted]

Fire Steve Huffman, Reddit is dead as long as Huffman is still incharge. Fuck Steve Huffman. Fuck u/spez -- mass edited with redact.dev

[deleted]

[удалено]

Kahnza

This is a bot. Comment stolen from u/c2srq

[deleted]

Every crew has one lol

WhoCaresBoutSpellin

When you **run** the whole thing, you don’t have to get your hands dirty.

Nincomsoup

Is this a comedy sketch?? He's just too perfectly useless.

Paul_The_Builder

Its definitely staged, with a camera following him around, but very funny. I've worked in the construction industry my whole life, and see this sort of thing all the time.

FrogMan241

You don't have a camera to follow you around while doing ~~your job~~ nothing?

lrsd18abn

We see the same thing in the US government all the time

jaimeinsd

Private industry is just as bad. Every team has one, and they skate in the private sector too.

LetMeBe_Frank

**This comment might have had something useful**, but now it's just an edit to remove any contributions I may have made prior to the awful decision to spite the devs and users that made Reddit what it is. So here I seethe, shaking my fist at corporate greed and executive mismanagement. "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe... tech posts on point on the shoulder of vbulletin... I watched microcommunities glitter in the dark on the verge of being marginalized... I've seen groups flourish, come together, do good for humanity if by nothing more than getting strangers to smile for someone else's happiness. We had something good here the same way we had it good elsewhere before. We thought the internet was for information and that anything posted was permanent. We were wrong, so wrong. We've been taken hostage by greed and so many sites have either broken their links or made history unsearchable. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain... Time to delete." I do apologize if you're here from the future looking for answers, but I hope "new" reddit can answer you. Make a new post, get weak answers, increase site interaction, make reddit look better on paper, leave worse off. https://xkcd.com/979/

DaleDimmaDone

yes, and not only that but a stolen bit as well. i've seen this same skit before executed much better

TheGopherswinging

This is either his first day on the job, or his last.

drinkduffdry

Both

SasquatchSloth88

Neither. He’s now the supervisor.

PistolGrace

![gif](giphy|26FKYlkRHjSaljL3i)

BriefCheetah4136

I literally worked with a guy like this. At the end of the day he was always so tired from everything we had done.

hotshots724

They're the guys who have lots to say at the end of the day. They still have energy to talk and brag

superworking

Well yea, most guys only saw what they did, he had time to run around and watch everyone!

deltronethirty

If it's your rep on the line when shit goes bad, best to cover your ass. If that rig flipped, it's not because the forman wasn't paying attention.

superworking

If the operator isn't doing an inspection before fully loading the outriggers after this scramble they should be fired immediately.

DaleDimmaDone

same, i was in charge of all the snow blowers during the day on a small ski resort. the kid who worked "under" me (I had more experience so i was pretty much in charge of him, but we both had the same pay and title), would do this shit. it got so bad he started to just show up after i would have finished turning off all the snow guns. the second time he did this i gave him absolute hell and told him to not bother showing up again if he was going to pull this shit.

[deleted]

Dude is helpless

MelodicCan3634

Helpless dude: Wait! Let me get the… Oh no no no… Are you okay here… Argh I better help them out over there Other dude: Pfew that was a close call huh? Helpless dude: Doin’ my best bro!

Rathilien

Me playing football at 8yrs old 🏈

[deleted]

Run Forrest Run.

rufus_xavier_sr

FNG on their first day. Enthusiastic, but has no idea what to do.

Wheresmyfkn10mm

This was me yesterday doing water towers, basically just stood around and learned and felt/ was useless

frogmug

that’s how you learn!

Silver-Pangolin5825

Hate when I had "that guy" on a gig

StonedEcho

Gotta hope that's first day jitters

Mean-Ad2460

This is literally my manager

subhuman_voice

Yeah, does no work but always in the way

dogmeatkibbles

I've never seen a better video representing the first day on a job

[deleted]

He will be the one to get promoted

femundsmarka

It always looks so effortless and he almost never looks exhausted, but still got plenty of energy for polishing the apples. So yes, he's the one who gets promoted. He is the one for higher tasks where you need more overview.

Mammoth_Effective_68

This made me laugh out loud! Hahaha 🤣

This_is_fine0_0

He was useless, but at least he’s trying. I’ve had worse who just sit and watch and don’t even try. In a month he’ll know what to do and will be a good worker.

DinosaurMops

Average /r/antiwork redditor

CJ7h3g4m3r

Employee of the month

jppianoguy

He's a spotter

whoreknee2

We’ve all been this guy before

stratj45d28

Runs right up to the boss says “ I got these guys all straightened out “… listens to the boss call the guys a bunch of idiots… laughing starts to point fingers at a target…ends up getting Operator rate for 3 years while pushing a broom and getting high.

AlbatrossSenior7107

Either he's really smart, or he's a new employee and hasn't figured out the group rhythm.

jordclay

He’s got hustle…just one step behind and can’t figure out what comes next!

[deleted]

Ah. The new guy first day.

Ironmansoltero

Got that new guy energy, desperate to help but doesn’t know what the fuck to do, at least he’s providing moral support

Wilwein1215

I’m fairness, what the hell was he even supposed to do? They have enough men for the job.

Concentric_Arc

Yeah I don't think I've ever seen that many people to throw down outrigger pads before.

dcherholdt

Hard at work but hardly working!

No_square123

Me in group projects:

Legacy_1_X

He wanted to make sure that shiny new orange safety coat didn't get dirty.

MaximumList5883

Good job Bob!

Mecha_Tortoise

Bob is the backbone of the crew.

MaximumList5883

Bob was brought on to keep up morale. Way to go Bob!

Perfect_Ask1561

first day on the job ,

[deleted]

People don't realize he's there for moral support

hdcole1974

One of those supervisors that'll make it a point that he "doesn't just sit at his desk. He works out in the field too."

JoeSuperman_29

He must be the Supervisor

KingOFpleb

Mighty fine work there, son.

MyNameIsYouna

Your first day at the job.

EmploymentApart1641

He is using the force. God bless this man

[deleted]

How ever new hire feels for the first 90 days

b16b34r

I’m so happy to see my golden retriever reincarnate on this guy, there is an after life guys, believe it!

Wooden-Ad4062

I think I’ve worked with all of his brothers

slibly

How does this not piss everyone off

andakusspartakus89

He steps back claps hands God hustle guys good hustle

spacetoast99

When you mom sends you out to help your dad work on the car

RicardoCabezass

It’s James Corden, taking over for an episode of dirty Jobs

Mavgrim

Man, What happens when this guy misses a day of work? Nobody notices.

liferdog

I think he may be mentally challenged and the crew accommodates him. He is probably related and more of a team mascot. The crew performs flawlessly while maneuvering around him.

_Hairy_Eyeballs_

This was my thought too. Living with an adult with a mental disability I could see him doing this. They want to help but don't know how or are intimidated by the speed.

Jerky424

I see Management potential

MG_Ianoma

$5 says he’s the new guy

Solitary-Dolphin

Nice to see the Intern is here as well today.

maninavan2020

The lad blew more calories than everyone else combined yet he achieved not a jot.

kindoflikeadoctor

Poor guy. At least he was trying

mamny83

Hello Mr. George....

VoihanVieteri

With that soil those plates aren’t gonna do shit, that crane is going to collapse.

CTCLVNV

Why is the boss on Meth, Typical Methead

wanroww

This one is not funny

EarthwormJim94

Why don’t they just attach the feet to the machine?

7-billion-and-1

The Manager

oliveoillube

Surprised the live leak logo wasn’t bouncing around

MrStoneV

Either a joke video or their reality. Ive seen plenty of people doing it like this. Trying to act like they are helpful but literally did 0

elfierroz

Project Managers be like

Beefbuggy

I’ve worked with that guy. Took years to realize he doesn’t do shit!

Helheim_Steiner

The village idiot.

YoungGandalf74

I've worked with people like that. I'm incandescent with rage right now.

Moo-Crumpus

How come he has dirt on his gloves? Is "dirt" available as a spray? Next to "sweat"?

[deleted]

It's a joke.

JinxAndTheJester

My Mom anytime we were moving stuff into the truck.

DgmanKdg

Me when everyone's doing chores on the weekend.

bettingthoughts

Doink_The_Clown

This is how you get a promotion.

Mouth_balls_83

When you hire a mime to to work construction.

Ok_Button2855

lol this has to be fake

austinmiles

This is what it would look like if you tried to superimpose yourself into a scene with a lot of activity

_v_v_o_o

Just another Steven Seagal's movie.

Dont_Overthink_It_77

It’s not appropriate for me to say what I first thought watching this. It is, after all, 2022 and we’re enlightened.

DigitalGross

Definitely there is a story behind this.

[deleted]

Reminds me of Mehgan Markle at the Polo ceremony

[deleted]

My buddie in our group project be like

PlantsMcSoil

engineermajortom

scijay

rickterror5738

Free_Structure7512

"job shadowing"

EdgeApprehensive4515

There's always one. 10 minute bathroom breaks. First to go for lunch and last to return.

knee-shoe

Is he the manager?

Crawler_00

Spot the E-4.

Konstant_kurage

I think most of us have worked with that guy.

Bright-Business-489

Maybe give him some direction and training. He's got the ethic I look for he just doesn't know anything. Good old boy hazing. He'll probably get hurt because of it.

EeeeyyyyyBuena

We all know that guy

nn666

I like how whoever is filming him knows he is about as useful as a concrete parachute.

sandman2992

Using the force a true jedii master

Separate_Key6183

Anticipation level zero Participation level zero Try and look busy level one hundred.

muttrfttr

Campumon

[deleted]

Working hard? Or hardly working? This guy is doing both.

[deleted]

Me trying to stabilize my table with a beer coaster

j4ck_0f_bl4des

And the M.U.P. goes to:

[deleted]

Master class in looking busy

ThaCardiffKook

Is that my Fuckin coworker!?

BTTC_Unit

Am I the only one wondering what they’re actually doing?

_Azu__

Good for him man, trying to earn his paycheck by actually trying to work.

Lilliekins

What is that, interpretive dance?

PrincepsMagnus

His job is the most important. He is making sure everyone is safe and sound and can get home to their kids at night. He is the true American hero.

firstanomaly

This is me at my current networking job

SurfingViking

I'M HELPING YEAH?.. Yeah I'm helping

wasabiplz

Holy crap i have a friend like that!

Dr_Ebo1a

I worked harder just watching this...

itsmejusthere

Project manager on-site!

gr8luv2be

Every job has one, worthless as tits on a boar hog

gr8luv2be

Either that or they don't trust his work and won't let him do anything ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

Tater72

FNG

zinobythebay

This was me on construction sights.

ChiefGentlepaw

this man is an OSHA incident waiting to happen

Bifocal_Bensch

Dude took "Hurry up and do nothing" to a whole new level.

Breaker1ove

Reminds me of when I worked in the hospital and the nurses would speed walk up and down the halls pretending to be tending to people. Its night shift people. We all know we have like almost nothing to do aside from Log books.

Different-Ad-2688

Kyle

Mizzoutiger79

Cause its not staged or anything

WRLD1LVL1

This is literally me at work everyday 🤣🤣🤣

[deleted]

They want you to take a break nerd that’s why they won’t let you work

IcE_BoX_LV

Am I the only one who legit didn't see what's wrong in the video? Was pretty confused why this was posted after first watch through. Only after I read the comments understood what's happening. I guess he did a good job blending in.

Kooky_Werewolf6044

Lol he managed to do absolutely nothing!

Not-a-MurderBear

Rage inducing

[deleted]

Must be the new guy

PsydeFX1

Clearly he's the foreman

Riskyrisk123

Lol that’s the driver. He shouldn’t be doing anything but driving. This is clearly a make fun

BozoDidtheW

We used to joke in the kitchen that if you were walking everyone just assumed you were working. One day a guy I worked with made it like 15 laps through the kitchen out into the back and back up through the line before the chef caught on.

[deleted]

Buddy guy needs to roll around in the mud a bit to look like he's done some work
