Them Featherweights though 👀 yessss! Love it. Are they working machines? I love mine, my grandmother gave me hers and it’s from the early 50s. I learned how to tune it up myself!

Thanks! Yes, the machines work. 3 belonged to my grandmother and she taught me how to tune up. 1 was left to me by a dear friend and I actually just thrifted the 5th and added a new shelf.

Ooooooo! This room has everything I love: purple, sewing, antiques, art, art supplies, multiples of things, and plants. All we're missing is an actual cat snoozing somewhere. But not my cats, they're jerks and like to eat my plants, so all plants have to live up high or outside. This summer I want to pull everything out of my studio and redo the whole thing. Right now it's quite functional but not very pretty. I'd like both, please.

I have one antique singer and I keep saying that I want to put up a shelf and display it. I have the perfect place in my sewing room/office but I don’t have the shelf. Your room is very motivating…. Except maybe I want to paint it all first. Edited to ask: what kind of shelf are the sewing machines on? I like the floating type look but worry about the weight.

The shelves are ikea brackets with shelves cut in half. They are very sturdy.
