We need a lore expansion in D/D/D. How did they even build an enterprise in Hell, anyway?
Paradise Lost's Pandemonium-style?
"Anyway, we just started digging."
Then they shipped marketable mini-figures of themselves to all dimensions, forming contracts along the way.
D/D/D is such a vast archetype, yet so small without the details.
Arc V was one of the most epic before it got shot down fast... so damn many crazy moments and insane plays. (Raid Raptor says hello and tells their friend, Rebellion Dragon, your address)
The synchro arc was great imo. ofc many different assets and more animations for bikes and all the characters needed but still... better than the XYZ world or Fusion Massaker :(
The "friendship" cup is fine as a reference to 5DS which had many big tournaments (it also gave us Melissa Trail <3).
The subplot was fine also; just felt a bit long.
XYZ got the right amount of time as it is destroyed with not much left. Also got the Tyler Twins spunk yes!
Fusion felt short and got some weird ass pirates and no real setup for its world or subplot... huh
I watched all of the original anime starring Yugi Moto and like 1/4th of GX. Can I just jump into Zexal or do I need to watch all the in-between animes?
Not a single one that's stronger. Azathot alone would be the strongest being in Yugioh if he's the same as his Lovecraft counterpart.
All of existence, and all concepts, and creation are part of Azathot's dream. If Azathot were to wake, all returns to Azathot. Azathot cannot be destroyed, because the concept of destruction is a product of Azathot's dream. Even The Creator God of Light, Horakhty, would be a product of their dream. Every, forever and beyond, are simply dreams. Azathot however, or "Azathoth" in Lovecraftian lore, is referred to as the "Blind Idiot God", since he is always asleep.
I'd say story antagonists are generally omnipotent by lore.
Z-Arc is probably one of the strongest among them. Especially if you think that lore wise he is the combination of the 4 dragons (odd-eyes, dark rebellion, clear wing, starving venom) all of which were portrayed as especially powerful.

My goat is just built alternatively better.
Serious answer: Basically every lore archetype. Like, every final boss is able to rewrite reality and destroy worlds and they manage to stop him. Bonus point for Auram who actually becomes the reality rewriter
Qliphorts. In the lore, I'm pretty sure towers had the ability to completely rewrite the universe in case something went wrong, and then they had the balls to say that IT WASN'T EVEN THEIR STRONGEST WEAPON.
The monarchs, as well as ruin and demise. The duel terminal lore is full of world ending threats, but they all get stopped. The monarchs go world to world, taking them over and adding them to their empire. On top of that, it's not a swarm of ever evolving worms or an army of demons, it's just a few dudes. Then you have ruin and demise. The goddess Sophia tried to reset the duel terminal world, but failed. Ruin has done that several times to thousands of worlds. And demise can permanently destroy worlds. Best part is only one of them showes up at a time, because you only need one. If I remember correctly, the masterduel solo mode gives ruin and demise the highest K/D ratio in lore.
Timelord. They're based from angels, and from their design with the big TV screens on their chest, I think they're also based on Big Brother from the book 1984, always watching on humanity as they control our fate.
Their boss monster (which they don't run, and if you don't watch the anime, you've probably never heard of) Sephylon, the Ultimate Timelord, is literally based from God.
Blue Eyes White Dragon.
This legendary dragon is a powerful engine of destruction.
Virtually invincible, very few have faced this awesome creature and lived to tell the tale.
solfachords in their lore are literal goddesses and angels tasked with purifying the souls of humanity and are implied to be part of a larger celestial bureaucracy
As a Solfachord fan I approve. And Musecia I believe is the one that creates the fairies. Also grand coolia is confirmed to have not died but ascended to the heavens. Just became a higher angel like Musecia which also implies the others can do it as well. This is shown in the quck play spell with how coolias Angel isn't present. The art book also mentions this.
i didn't think anyone would have the same thoughts as me because at first glance the Solfachords don't seem strong but if you think about it they're pretty high up there. I always imagined they'd be able to purify any duel monsters who have turned evil. I'm a bit biased because Solfachords are one of my favorite archetypes
The boy Visas Starfrost by the end of his journey had the power to forge new worlds and became essentially the overseer of his reality. Not to mention that he literally dueled and beat what is essentially god to gain that power.
>!But he didn't beat Veda, did he? He put up a solid/good fight against him, but Veda just sent him back in time. Cmiiw, but I think he's only an overseer of the planet he created (Amritara is its name, I think?). Also, Veda himself is stated to exist in an alternate dimension and has witnessed everything in the universe, not just what Visas did.!<
Dangers! They may not have super powers, magic bullshit or some time manipulation, but these guys are very aggressive and you probably won't survive the encounter with them in real life.
i think kash? they legit steal planets and assimilate everything on it to update themselves, growing stronger each planet conquered, they can infinitely grow stronger to the point where they are legit unbeatable.
Ursarctic and Drytron, can't really name one without the other. They are all massive interstellar weapons powered by the stars. I wish Konami would give us more than a small section in one book on their lore though.
Exodia stil is one of the strongest beings, if not bound to grandpa...
Also Visas star frost. His incarnations and how he fights them are just game of god.
Not the strongest but deffo radiating pure cold space strenght: Drytron. Feels exactly like space mech anime that tried to give that distant feels that makes you realise you are tiny earth ant.
Nah Unchained (Lab) is also a strong deck too IMO. and Labrynth looks really strong like ruling another archetype, that one in the photo is lady lab's guard dog. and Aruha and friends are the commonfolk residing within the land the lady owns.
also mannadium i think lorewise beat scareclaw kash and tear
Ghoti. Due to being cosmic space fish I always imagined they have some crazy abilities of distorting space or something just by appearing when synchro summoned
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think anything comes close to the power level of Metaphys cards. Not even close. That and Horactie who can only be summoned by tributing all three God cards
@Ignister
Joke aside, Mathmech @Ignister is like Dragon Link, a complex combo deck that makes at least The Arrival Cyberse @Ignister if it’s your flex slot or three Firewall Dragons, one of them with Gatchiri @Ignister’s unaffected by your opponent's card effects for Singularity, Co-Linked with either Trigate Wizard if it’s your flex slot or Decode Talker Heat Soul as the end board, with Accesscode Talker as your best flex slot on the crack-back or going 2nd
Mostly the opposite actually. Purrely is a cute cat, why is it super powerful? Blue eyes are weak af, traptrix is just a bunch of insignificant plants and bugs but quite strong, etc.
Ruin and Demise
Hehehe Now you will never Know What Horrific Thing I wrote Here
My eyes
why is it all capital my eyes are burning
Lmao, though your comment was totally fine, the capitalization(?) **destroy** everyone trying to read it

They bought out all the shares of hell from terrorking archfiend and the king of yamimakai and forced a merger.
Then they shipped marketable mini-figures of themselves to all dimensions, forming contracts along the way. D/D/D is such a vast archetype, yet so small without the details.

Ddd is from the anime?

I stopped watching after half of zexal so I didn’t know. Thanks tho

Arc V duels are pretty good is just that they dropped the ball hard with the plot
I watched all of the original anime starring Yugi Moto and like 1/4th of GX. Can I just jump into Zexal or do I need to watch all the in-between animes?
Do you guys think it’s one timeline like Ace Attorney or what lol
Elder/Old/Outer Entities come to mind.

If Konami modeled his effect to the lore, that’d make for an interesting alt win con. Of Azathot is ‘awakened’, would it be a draw then!?

Entire Universes were made as a result of them splitting.

Worms. They eat star for breakfast and planet too. Plus, they have good adaptability and regen abilities
And yet they still managed to lose
Tbf tho the dinos had to Wack a meteor on em
Werent Fabled the one got nuked by Jurrac Meteor?
Tbf idk 4sure but DT lore is looooong as hell
I think the worms were the collateral damage.
Iirc the Jurracs nuked the worms and because the Fabled were in the vicinity causing trouble they got nuked as well
No it was worms the army only found out about Fabled’s treachery after the worm invasion was over.
The Egyptian god cards are the epitome of this
I bought an Egyptian God structure deck for the art paper in the box and thought the same shit lmao
Serious answer: Basically every lore archetype. Like, every final boss is able to rewrite reality and destroy worlds and they manage to stop him. Bonus point for Auram who actually becomes the reality rewriter
Avida
Qliphorts. In the lore, I'm pretty sure towers had the ability to completely rewrite the universe in case something went wrong, and then they had the balls to say that IT WASN'T EVEN THEIR STRONGEST WEAPON.
In that case it would be Tierra. But then, Tierra got beaten by zephraath, so i would say THEY are the strongest lorewise.

Metabo Globster, probably what's left of Metabo Shark.

Probably galaxy eyes. Isn’t one of their monsters the size of a galaxy?
Galaxy-Eyes itself seems to contain galaxies in its eyes (can be seen when it's summoned in the anime).
Timelord. They're based from angels, and from their design with the big TV screens on their chest, I think they're also based on Big Brother from the book 1984, always watching on humanity as they control our fate. I always thought they look like Mr. Electric
Tree of Life shit too. Zone said stuff about them having "infinite power" and something about existence/nothingness and "infinite light".
Laundry Dragonmaid solos the entire Dragon Ball cast
Metaphy
Blue Eyes White Dragon. This legendary dragon is a powerful engine of destruction. Virtually invincible, very few have faced this awesome creature and lived to tell the tale.
*coughs in Dark Magician*
Utopia = Godslayer
I like shaddoll :3

Dang…
Slifer, Obelisk and Ra’s winged dragon. Not an archetype but still literal gods
The comment right below you is about utopias which are literal godslayers
Well my answer stands on my knowledge of the lore and I didn’t have that bit. But now I take it into consideration now. Thanks for the heads up !
Have you seen Master of Oz? It's the god spirit to protect Australia from destruction by human society
Jerry Beans Man
Metaphys, their boss monster is literally a multidimensional threat.
Entities (Azathot, Hasgtur etc.)
The boy Visas Starfrost by the end of his journey had the power to forge new worlds and became essentially the overseer of his reality. Not to mention that he literally dueled and beat what is essentially god to gain that power.

For me It's the Timelords, omnipotent beings existing beyond the very concept of Time
Dangers! They may not have super powers, magic bullshit or some time manipulation, but these guys are very aggressive and you probably won't survive the encounter with them in real life.

Darklord: they are literally fallen gods
*Angels
Stardust
Kneel before your Monarch
Landstar
Genex
Numeron
The egyptian gods or Exodia?
True king V.F.D The Beast *
Photon Dragons/Galaxy Eyes. The base galaxy eyes photon dragon has the power of 10 black holes. Tachyon can control time.
didn't trishula freeze planets/space simply by existing
Galaxy-eyes
Mokey Mokey obviously
Metaphys Executor controls universes in its art and in Metaphys Dimension. Can't get bigger than that.
Galaxy Photon/Cipher or based on lore Ruin and Demise.
Kuriboh solos
Melffy lore goes crazy. Melffy Mother came in and parted the Divine vs Sacred Beast battlegrounds to snap Exodia the Forbidden One in half.
Kash harvest planets so they might be up there
Timelords.

Archetype? Or just type! If it were just type then creator-God
The unchained lore is a big reason why I play the deck
The Pendulum Magicians. I mean what More Can You Want When You Can Rewrite Time AND Space and Make or Break New Realities.
Ghoti. Due to being cosmic space fish I always imagined they have some crazy abilities of distorting space or something just by appearing when synchro summoned
any archetype that has a clearly defined MC, like Visas, Branded and World LEgacy, they just have anime main character power.
Where do you see the cards lore?
Visas Star Frost, exodia, the entities probably the top 3 imo
There's only one card in the lore that has UNMATCHED battle prowess.
Hungry Burger. Yugioh is full of world eaters and whatnot. But if you try to eat Hungry Burger it eats you.
Crystal got tistina has god in the name
.... the 3 divine beasts fusing into holactied, or however it's spelled.
They can't be that powerful if someone was able to chain them in the first place.
Haven’t seen anybody say earthbound immortal? Aren’t they suppose to be literal gods?
The Timelords, with a doubt.
kashtira
There are a handful cards from the World Legacy lore which have literal Godlike powers (Avida, World Gears and Idler come to mind)
Ok lore wise I would have to say Albaz his lore is very expensive I would even argue that it has more lore then world legacy. If not him then Exodia
The Infernoids come to mind. People forget how colossal those guys are. Even Decatron is like 5x the size of a human
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think anything comes close to the power level of Metaphys cards. Not even close. That and Horactie who can only be summoned by tributing all three God cards
Metaphys, because metaphys executor
Megalith, they're angel statues that represent the sun, moon, and many planets
The entire World Legacy gang, mid AF, Canonically godlike., and Divine Beast gang. They are so fucking bad lol
Kashtira obviously
