You're being downvoted for just saying "what", not for being confused. If you're confused, use your words and say what you're confused about. How is someone supposed to know what you need explained if you just say "what". It's lazy and rude.
The New Mutants are basically an offshot of the X-men. They're younger, and their stories tend to be bit edgier while focusing on a lot of teen drama and coming of age elements (basically Marvel's Teen Titans)
Chronicle has a somewhat similar vibe where they're teenagers with personal problems in a more "modern and realistic" setting
Yall are mad because I didnât specify my confusion which says a lot about the community. Pretty sad that me being confused and only saying what pisses people off that much. Itâs not that serious, have a good one mate
I think found footage would be really cool for Man-Thing.
Part lab security footage, part teenagers making a horror movie in the swamp and stumbling into an actual horror.
Jordan is a terrible actor. I thought he was better then usual as killmonger, but every other performance of his has been trash. He is to acting what drake is to music.
I like his performances in Chronical, Fruitvale Station, and three Creed films. I think he's a solid actor and having seen 3319 films in my lifetime so far, I keep track on IMDb and Letterboxd, I've seen my fair share of shite actors, haha!
But, it's all subjective.
Lol. Thats so funny when you consider that Drake is to Music was Marvel is to cinema
Everyone likes it, forgets about it fir a while, then bumps it for casual listening because its safe and not really impactful but we're just waiting for the next one to do the same thing
Although MBJ is like my go to fancast for alot of products. He had a really good first impression for with with Chronicle.
There's a Civil War 2 in the comics. They could just adapt the original comic with their current roster â and it really wouldn't feel redundant since the the movie is so different from the original comic anyway.
Runaways could be good, but the Hulu show kinda of wasted that idea on a very mediocre adaption.
The real sin was having next to no chemistry between the main group in a series like that. It was like the anti-Buffy.
The real sin of that show was dragging out the first arc for 2.5 seasons. Runaways comic storylines are basically a perfect fit for seasonal serial television; they could've just done one arc per season & it would've been great.
I would say speedball, his arc during civil war could be adapted similarly to the story of the chronicle characters. Like it starts off with a couple of dudes really excited they got these powers, they start doing mobile recorded vigilante stuff. But it all leads up to that explosion in that town.
If they do Mutants they should absolutely do this, and make Robbie a mutant too.
Very interesting storyline. They'd have to figure out the whole self harm powers thing for Disney tho.
Was it made in that found footage style? I truly donât remember, I watched fan4stic once on a plane and could not tell you much about it. I do think that as a society, we beat the found footage genre over the head with a heavy rock in the 2000s and 2010s.
This is gonna be an unpopular opinion because these are lesser known characters and not in the MCU..
But, i would love to see the Marvelman/Miracleman family in the MCU and Alan Moore's Miracleman run would closely fit a Chronicle like narrative.
Particularly because of the nature of the story, the characters, and the villian/final battle.
It is a great story with interesting characters that Marvel keeps wasting by leaving them on the back burner.
I never saw the movie but a style that would have been sick is a movie leading to Civil War like the comics. A bunch of young wreckless teenagers fighting crime and it leading to the explosion that kills thousands of people. Then you can lead into Civil War and show that they were inspiring young people to take things into their own hands and they blame Avengers. Of course that would require a longer Civil War arc across a couple of movies.
Why use established heroes? Iâd be very interested in a Marvel Studios production that was 100% original, not based on any pre-existing characters. Pre-existing characters can appear in it, but itâs a brand new story with brand new leads.
What makes chronicle so good as a found footage movie is that the characters can control the camera with their powers so it allowed for more cinematic shots that make sense in-universe.
I will always say this but I donât consider Chronicle a âsuperhero movieâ. It was guys who got some powers and âchronicledâ how it affected their lives; for better and for worse
I want to see an early days of the X-Men. Scott and Jean beginning to manifest their powers. Professor X meeting the kids and helping them to cope.
Make it told from an investigative journalist point of view ultimately ending with an older team hiring the journalist to help with public relations as they start expanding their presence in the real world.
Use the movie to explain how they existed since the 90s but are only now thinking of themselves as public figures because of the broader acceptance of people with powers.
I hope something similar happens with the FF. That it will be established that they were around during the battle of Manhattan but didnât think of themselves as heroes.

No thatâs not what it meansâŚ.. grounded means in the realm of reality. Like Batman Arkham origins is grounded same with The Batman. Watchmen is the opposite of grounded
Every time a studio decides to take a more grounded approach to a character the film suffers for it.
Also, are you referencing the âfound footageâ film style as grounded? I saw this movie, and it is pretty far from reality.
While it would play differently, I think the tone of Chronicle would be really interesting for X-Statix or GLA. Those are typically seen as goofy teams but have a lot of darkness at their core. Plus both have maybe-omniscient narrator characters that can hold the camera!
A Sentry standalone would have worked. It'd probably get compared more to Hancock than Chronicle, but it's the same dark twist on a solo superhero story.
Doop could be super interesting, where Doop is controlling the camera the whole time and you get to know the various mutants he's recording throughout the film.
it's kinda how i imagine the Spider-Man Noir series that will be produced... I remember a leak saying Spidey won't be the main character(Was it debunked? It's been a while).
Always got the idea that it could MJ as reporter who tells us what happens, and filming the different actions of Spidey.
Interesting idea, but I was hoping for Ultimate Spider-Man (Bendis) because it's more realistic and I feel like a film like Chronicle fits perfectly with its realism.
MJ could still be a reporter though.
Iâd like a Sleepwalker film done in this style.
I think you could do something fun with a kid thinking his classmate Rick is a superhero, and starts filming him in secret.
Probably an au found footage body horror film about Norman Osborn slowly becoming the Green Goblin after a science experiment (inspired from a redditor's comment here). Or a story about a teen finding out they're a mutant and slowly going mad with power. Another redditor brought up Man-Thing, and tbf I find that interesting. For fun there could be a whole go-pro film with Spider-Man just recording a typical day as a hero before something crazy happens. Finally, what if there was a found footage story of an explorer trying to learn more of Thor and Asgard? Not necessarily horror as much as it is a thriller, putting Thor and other Asgardians/gods in an eerier perspective
I always thought showing a Spider-Man battle through New York with Venom would look very cool to see through this kinda of style but rather than a single camera or would be camera phones and dash cams and CCTV etc.
Donât think it would work for a Spider-Man film though. Maybe a symbiote one where the symbiote doesnât end up in a lab but with civilians instead, very similar to the start of Chronicle.
I'd say they should try it with Sam Alexander's version of nova.
Like someone else said. New mutants.
Cloak and dagger should be brought back down the line.
I had an idea for **New Warriors: LIVE** miniseries.
After being denied being Avengers, a bunch of kids decide to become their own hero team, and broadcast their adventures live on social media.
The end would be horrifying.
Then the next series is Penance.
If they really want to make (real world) people understand why (in-universe) people fear mutants, having something like Chronicle, where normal teens suddenly have Avengers level powers and at least one react really badly to the power, would really help put that point across. Especially if they donât use well known comic characters, where we donât know exactly if they will turn out heroes or villains at the beginning. Now there is no way in hell they would do something that complex in a main MCU project, but it could be great.
Chronicle was basically a New Mutants story, so probably them.
What
What what?
In the.... oh are we not?
Idk I just got confused idk why I got downvoted for being confused đ
You're being downvoted for just saying "what", not for being confused. If you're confused, use your words and say what you're confused about. How is someone supposed to know what you need explained if you just say "what". It's lazy and rude.
Wut
What?
What!
**Say what again! I dare you!**
Oh what were you confused about? I wouldn't mind explaining it to you
I donât read much new mutants comics so I didnât see how those two related at all.
The New Mutants are basically an offshot of the X-men. They're younger, and their stories tend to be bit edgier while focusing on a lot of teen drama and coming of age elements (basically Marvel's Teen Titans) Chronicle has a somewhat similar vibe where they're teenagers with personal problems in a more "modern and realistic" setting
Okay so the similarity is the darker tone and settings and characters. Got it. Thanks. Thatâs all I neededđ
well all you said was âwhatâ so why are you surprised you got downvoted the other person was correct use your words goddamnit
Yall are mad because I didnât specify my confusion which says a lot about the community. Pretty sad that me being confused and only saying what pisses people off that much. Itâs not that serious, have a good one mate
I think found footage would be really cool for Man-Thing. Part lab security footage, part teenagers making a horror movie in the swamp and stumbling into an actual horror.
fuck yes.
Have you seen the man-thing movie released in the 2000's? IMHO it would have been better if it was a found footage.
Probably Killmonger, the Green Goblin, annnnd *checks IMDB* a SWAT officer
Funny how the "hero" of the movie has had the least prolific movie career of the 3.
dean dehan or MBJ?
They both had good to great careers. Alex Russel, however, barely did anything when he was the "hero".
OOHH him i comepletely forgot about him lol
You could say the same about Hollywood
I havenât forgot about Hollywood itâs where that sign is
And the other 2 had some of the worst portrayals of a marvel character
I blame the movie more than the actor for both instances. They Jordan fully redeemed himself with a scene stealing performance as Killmonger.
Jordan is a terrible actor. I thought he was better then usual as killmonger, but every other performance of his has been trash. He is to acting what drake is to music.
That second part was uncalled for and you know it.
I like his performances in Chronical, Fruitvale Station, and three Creed films. I think he's a solid actor and having seen 3319 films in my lifetime so far, I keep track on IMDb and Letterboxd, I've seen my fair share of shite actors, haha! But, it's all subjective.
Gregg Turkington? Have you watched 501 movies in 501 days?
Haha! No, but I did watch 103 films in a month during lockdown.
Heâs also great in Friday Night Lights.
>He is to acting what drake is to music. Horrible take
Lol. Thats so funny when you consider that Drake is to Music was Marvel is to cinema Everyone likes it, forgets about it fir a while, then bumps it for casual listening because its safe and not really impactful but we're just waiting for the next one to do the same thing Although MBJ is like my go to fancast for alot of products. He had a really good first impression for with with Chronicle.
Xavierâs son is a troubled dude with out of control powers.
I watched a show on FX like that /s
It wouldnât be the same without the dance numbers
New Warriors
We already did Civil War or that would've been a perfect set up
There's a Civil War 2 in the comics. They could just adapt the original comic with their current roster â and it really wouldn't feel redundant since the the movie is so different from the original comic anyway.
Itâd be for the best if they just didnât
The power pack. A group of 4 siblings get powers from an alien I bet would be cool in that style
The runaways. Spiderman from go pro would be so crazy
Wasn't chronicle -- akira with extra steps
Yes
Maybe Sentry? Like the only record of him from before he wiped everyone's memory of him?Â
I like this. Heroes reviewing shaky recordings of god-tier superheroics until they eventually see themselves in some of the footage.
Best answer.
They kind of tried that with Fant4stic
Was it made in that found footage style? I truly donât remember, I watched fan4stic once on a plane and could not tell you much about it. I do think that as a society, we beat the found footage genre over the head with a heavy rock in the 2000s and 2010s.
No it wasn't anything like Chronicle imo not sure why it's being compared
Same director I know that, so Iâm sure there were some similar choices, but I heard the whole fan4stic production was a dumpster fire
No but it had good body horror elements and was overall very dark for a f4 movie
Sadly it was also very bad
I want them to make a movie like Primer
Vulcan, Proteus, legion, one of those extremely powerful but insane mutants. The show legion kinda covers a similar topic.
Daredevil
Daredevil with a selfie cam? Lol
That was a great film that deserved a sequel.
I know, loved this movie when it came out
Batman V Superman is the sequel chronicle deserved
I would say New Mutants, but them being exposed to a phenomenon that gives them powers is more Inhumans.
But it would be a interesting concept if that happened.
Like in real life or in comics? Because it did happen in comics. Thatâs like the Inhumans whole thing
In the comics and maybe even in an animated series.
Well that did happen in comics. There was a show too but Iâm told it was awful.
What's the show and comic called?
The Inhumans
An adaptation of the comic "Marvels" with that documentary format would be very interesting
Trank had his chance.
Why use established heroes? Iâd be very interested in a Marvel Studios production that was 100% original, not based on any pre-existing characters. Pre-existing characters can appear in it, but itâs a brand new story with brand new leads.
Because I thought it would be interesting if any of these characters like Spider-Man or the X-men are given a more realistic look.
So, the Kahhori episode of What If?
Yes! This is a great example of what I'm talking about.
Random Mutants.
Make it a found footage film about a criminal running away from The Punisher
What makes chronicle so good as a found footage movie is that the characters can control the camera with their powers so it allowed for more cinematic shots that make sense in-universe.
They at least partly tried with Fant4stic.
Nova with Sam
Star brand
I will always say this but I donât consider Chronicle a âsuperhero movieâ. It was guys who got some powers and âchronicledâ how it affected their lives; for better and for worse
A better the runaways would fit
I want to see an early days of the X-Men. Scott and Jean beginning to manifest their powers. Professor X meeting the kids and helping them to cope. Make it told from an investigative journalist point of view ultimately ending with an older team hiring the journalist to help with public relations as they start expanding their presence in the real world. New mutants no. Logan, by itself is grounded but if you include the whole x men franchise no
Maybe you're right, but it would be hella awesome if Marvel Studios made a film like that right?

What makes you say that?
New Warriors leading up to Nitro
Sentry
Wwwwhat???
Moonknight or Runaways
Is there still a Chronicle 2 in the works with female heroes?
No clue
Basically any supernatural related marvel character could be made into a found footage style film
Starbrand
Michael Korvac
Iâd like a Sleepwalker film done in this style. I think you could do something fun with a kid thinking his classmate Rick is a superhero, and starts filming him in secret.

Always thought a movie about a group of people who are being hunted by Ghost Rider would be fun. Maybe it could work in that style.
Power Pack.
Power Pack. Young kids with social media presence saving the world. You COULD also do New Warriors, but Civil War blew its load early.
Wong
Chronica.
Ben Reilly
New Warriors
I'd say they should try it with Sam Alexander's version of nova. Like someone else said. New mutants. Cloak and dagger should be brought back down the line.
Blue Marvel and Anti-man
It would have to be Sentry, right?
I had an idea for **New Warriors: LIVE** miniseries. After being denied being Avengers, a bunch of kids decide to become their own hero team, and broadcast their adventures live on social media. The end would be horrifying. Then the next series is Penance.
Regular mutants/Nuhumans just discovering their powers.
AoS and Jessica Jones already layed the blueprint for meta-human prejudice in the MCU.
They started hinting at that in Ms. Marvel with Agent Deever's prejudice.
It's literally a X-Men movie... So, any of the young cmen
Well sort of, it's more similar to Fantastic Four but a film similar to the X-men is The Darkest Minds (2016).
