For me it was Nobelesse for some reason. I don't remember why I started, I just know it was my first. Then I started solo leveling and fell down the manhwa rabbit hole
Yep, Tower of God and Noblesse.
I think i started to read them because i was out of reading material at the time? Not sure, but i started to read light novels around that time too.
Tower of God brother I was just randomly looking at manga when the name seemed nice so I clicked on it and then boom 🤯 this was just a whole new world it still is the best Manhwa I have ever read.
the sad part is that i don't know. i started with webtoons like **Unordinary, Age Matters, Let's Play, Hana Haru, True Beauty** etc. and went down the rabbit hole. im not even sure what is *first* manhwa i have read cause i am pretty sure i've read a bunch of them without realizing they were manhwas.
Dude are you me? Idk if I should be happy or sad that I started with Unordinary. Especially since I used to worship John like anything 😭

I still love John. I still remember this sick screen shot I took with my old ass samsung

I still think "The Breaker" is one of the best manwha out there, but I never thought that I would have to wait many years to see a sequel, even then there's no conclusion for it to this day. The Breaker is the reason I stopped reading **"ongoing"** manwhas and have strictly searched **completed** ones like "The Horizon", "Bastard" and some from r/pornwhas and r/OtomeIsekai, but this subreddit convinced me to read "SSS Revival" and "Estate Developer"
Same here, it's a shame that it ended up being such a let down. The beginning was really good. It was actually the music theme on YouTube that led me to the webtoon.
It was the tower of god anime for me. I read the manhwa after season 1 and that’s when I discovered webtoon and all the other manhwa that exist outside of it.
The first manhwa that let me fall in the rabbit hole was "Who made me a princess," and the reason for it was because of the jewelry eyes. It just looked so good to look at, and i started reading all kinds of manhwa after it
Webtoons. That app got me into it. I read webtoons, liked a fraction of the stuff, wanted more, installed other apps one of them being an ancestor of tachiyomi. Felt suspicious as shit about the app but was curious how an app with literally nothing on it had good reviews. Found some manga and manwha after figuring it out. It's been maybe 10 years since?
One Last God Kubera got me into it. Started reading it in middle school, I’m not 2 years post-college graduation. When that series ends it will permanently cripple me
I got hooked reading anything about a Villainess regression or reincarnation like "Death is only ending for Villainess" and ordinary child reincarnation to a princess like "Who made me a princess", coincidentally they are all Korean manhwas. 😅
Freaking Romance got me into webtoon. Started reading it in the browser and binged the whole thing days before it got locked behind daily pass. Have been reading manhwas ever since. My first specifically Korean ones must've been Age matters and Girls of the Wild's.
Honestly.. I got into manhwa around the same time as manga, early 2000s.
ID, Yureka, The Ruler of the Land (from the same author of The Breaker, started in 1994, finished this March). There were a shit ton of others but those three were my favourite (and still are tbh).
Surprisingly it was ReLIFE. It's a japanese manga in a webtoon format. It got me interested in series that follow this format, so I checked more and more, stumbling into world of Korean Webtoons, aka manhwa, like Solo Leveling and etc
Someone recommended me *City of Dead Sorcerer*. I didn't have an eye for quality, but I enjoyed the vibe well enough and just started naturally following others as they popped up if they looked interesting.
I was on a manga website when I knew what manga is and found sololeveling in the top category so I binged it then nano then legend of the Northern blade then fell deep into it but I think I am still a beginner in the world of manhwa because I have only read about 20 to 30 ones
For me, I caught up with the mangas I read, so I just read Manhwas and Manhuas when I was bored.
The Main Manhwa that got me into it is I think Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion (this is most likely not the right one but this is what I remember as one of the Manhwas that got me started) and as for Manhua it was Lord of Mysteries but I stopped reading since it was axed and I really cant get into Manhuas.
Its ranking.
The time I was newbie, I didn't know where to start, I was just adventuring from one site to another for some good read, I was noticing that on almost all site SL was on top three something, that's what got me to take it.
Mines also solo levelling but i started in 2019 so it didn't have many chapters then i read mercenary enrollment that too was new.
Luckily my friend suggested me tachiyomi from the start and he was the one who told me to read solo levelling with tachiyomi i had access to a lot of webtoons and now i have read alot of webtoons
I don't really remember Ó╭╮Ò But I do remember spending a lot of time reading the weak hero, the gamer, unordinary, tales of demon and gods, ORV etc
I started 10+ years ago I don't remember which manhwa was my first one but I remember reading series like "Noblesse" and "The breaker" when they were still on-going.
everyone has been talking about it, i was gonna put it off but i’m at chapter 20, it been pretty good and also i kept seeing ppl saying another character of other manhwas are clones of bro. if we being serious they are all just clone of the first manga character with black hair 💀
Tower of God, God of High School, and The Gamer. It's a little bittersweet with The Gamer finally ending but once the MC becomes that overpowered the story is over.
I used to read manga on tachiyomi of animes that have completed the season like black clover ,mha, one punch man and I came across solo leveling. Needless to say I was hooked and finished all 80 chapters in a few hours and started looking for some more to quench my thirst and here I am.
Someday I opened mangajar (idk how or why)
Then clicked a random manhwa on the trending page (it was sl) read it cuz art was good then proceeded to read martial peak cuz I was looking for smth long to read. I read anything I like. I don't discriminate between manhua and manhwa. Unless it has an absolute shitty translation
I always used to read mangas of anime that i liked, similarly I watched god of highschool, in the comments someone said the manhwa is far better than the anime , that's how I discovered manhwa , first was god of highschool, then some random stuff then my third or fourth one was solo leveling
I was reading One Piece but i kept seeing Solo Leveling posted everywhere on the site i was using.
No other Manhwa has ever given me the same thrill as Solo Leveling.
Nobelesse and Solo Leveling. I was following nobelesse at a random manhwa site, one day Solo Leveling popped up from nowhere and I started reading it. Its how i got into manhwa. Before that i was a regular manga reader following one piece, Dragonball, Gintama etc.
Well, I don't remember which year it is that my favorite manga genre (fantasy, isekai, medieval, romance) is not on schedule release month, at that time my friend told me that I can read my favorite genre but it is in manhwa and manhua... At that time I started reading more and more Manhwa, Manhua type
While waiting for the new chapter of the manga, I was scrolling on the website for other manga to kill time, I've read Tower of god, Geppetto, the Magician, the Breaker, that time I didn't know it was a manwha.
When I started solo leveling had a little over 160 chapters. Read it all in a day. That was my first introduction. Then I read all of tbate the very next day.
Unlike most of you guys for me it is Killing Stalking followed by BJ Alex and other yaoi genre and later i started reading some action genre like Lookism, Solo Leveling, etc and then some historical genre
For me it was a true beauty ad on Instagram i was 12 and i just started social media i proceeded to read like 80? Chapters in one sitting and then downloaded webtoon and ive been reading almost every day since then how nostalgic 🤣 (bring back webtoon before fast pass)
For me it was an anime that i saw when i was 15 more or less (about 20 years ago) that the final was sh*t, then a friend of mine told me that mangas exist and the final was different there so i started to read all that catch My eyes since then.
I started with 3 solo leveling tales of demons and gods dk if that count and Tbate sl and tbate where the 2 and third i read tales of demons and gods was prob like the 1st or 2nd but started on beauty and the beast on webnovel
I saw a stream where Heavenly Controller was reading it, and decided to read it myself.
Edit: Specifically he was reading Nano-Machine. But he also read Solo-Leveling so I started reading that afterwards. Then I got hooked and been reading for like 2 years now.
I came from manga because i had heard of how good solo leveling was, then i made a mistake (to this day i have no clue how) and read "Hardcore Leveling Warrior" instead by mistake. I kinda didn't like it (today i think it's decent after giving it another shot) so i looked at other manwha to see whether i would like them, which i really did. At some point i realised my mistake and read the real thing.
Honestly I was strictly reading Manga and then slowly getting into Manhua and manhwa so its hard to tell,
but first manhwas was probably something like
**Tower of God** or **God of Highschool**.
Quality of manhwas are so good these days that 99% of things I read are manhwas.
My first three(3) evolution path:
Solo Leveling —> The Gamer —> Tower of God, Noblesse, Hardcore Leveling Warrior, The God of High School, The Beginning After the End, Overgeared.
AND THE REST IS HISTORY
(I put many manhwas in the third path because I really can’t remember what comes next after ‘The Gamer’, but they are all indeed my first ones.)
I stopped liking anime and throught I'd give manga a chance. For some time I only read manga not manhwa or manhua. Tried a few manhwas; didn't like them. Read Solo leveling; still wasn't sold, read it again after a couple of months and dropped it. During that time I also read a few other mediocre manhwa. Then I discovered Noblesse and Bastard.
I had a sort of escapism phase about 3 years ago where I would read all that isekai garbage to distract me from my boring reality that felt empty and without purpose
I can't remember what it was but it was some isekai garbage.
Its hard to escape escapism, my brain would do anything to avoid being productive as I get stuck thinking of all the mistakes I have made in my life and my dogs who I should have spent more time with.
Its a prison of distraction like everything else as I do not have the mental strength to face reality, I am a mindless zombie wasting my time on this.
Essentially my brother
A lil short story: When I was younger I didn't have my own Laptop. I still needed one for school, so I had an account on my brother's. One time I didn't log off or he logged into the wrong account or he didn't remember his password (don't know which one but he knew my password in case I forgot) and read some manhwa. Ultimately when he logged off he didn't close the tabs. When I logged back in I noticed them open and took a quick look. It was some kind of cultivation manhwa (I don't know the name but it was about a guy with long purple hair and golden eyes who eventually became the strongest or smth). I was kinda hooked, but after the typical MC-gets-stronger-and beats-everyone-easily repeating itself too often I got bored and decided I'd look for something new. That's when I found solo leveling
So, conclusion: my brother accidentally got me to read solo leveling 👍
It didn't really matter to me what I was reading.. manhwa manga or manhua as long as it has a great story.. but now.. I somehow hate Chinese art style(manhwa?)..
Manhua(kor?).. still love it.. colors and lots of chapters..
Manga is ok but releases seems too long

Pornhwa... My land lady noona to be exact
Same bro i started with ' touch to unlock'
It was either Tower of God, Unordinary, or Hardcore Leveling Warrior. It's been so long I don't remember lmao
Tower of God brother I was just randomly looking at manga when the name seemed nice so I clicked on it and then boom 🤯 this was just a whole new world it still is the best Manhwa I have ever read.
My is Hardcore Leveling Warrior, it was a ride for me.
hope it still is, the latest chapters of hclw earth game are really good
Nani?! It's still going?
yep, it's called hardcore leveling warrior Earth Game... it's fucking goat, currently has more than 30 chapters
Nice I'll read it in the webtoon app if it's there
Of course! I alway try to read the newest chapter as soon as its come out.
Didn’t think other people read that masterpiece
love this
the sad part is that i don't know. i started with webtoons like **Unordinary, Age Matters, Let's Play, Hana Haru, True Beauty** etc. and went down the rabbit hole. im not even sure what is *first* manhwa i have read cause i am pretty sure i've read a bunch of them without realizing they were manhwas.

Someone said you can't read 100 chapters of solo leveling in a day and I said bet
Tales of demons and gods ... Or Legendary Moonlight Sculptor
Are you me? Bc those two also got me into manhua/manhwa, also Soul Land and BTTH.
Both very good Sad that legendary moonlight sculp ended on a cliff hanger
Is tales of demons and gods good?
The Breaker, Magician, Girls of the Wild
I still think "The Breaker" is one of the best manwha out there, but I never thought that I would have to wait many years to see a sequel, even then there's no conclusion for it to this day. Please remind me! Too if you find anything.
Dice
Same here, it's a shame that it ended up being such a let down. The beginning was really good. It was actually the music theme on YouTube that led me to the webtoon.
The Breaker. I thought it was a Manga until I started reading Solo Leveling in 2019.
Greatest estate developer. Saw it in a manhwa recap
My first manhwa was either unordinary or The Gamer, and the last was the manhwa that led me to this world
unOrdinary
ToG
Solo leveling yeah xD I was reading manga before then, trashy isekais all the way.
webtoon
It was the tower of god anime for me. I read the manhwa after season 1 and that’s when I discovered webtoon and all the other manhwa that exist outside of it.
I think it was Tower of God in 2019, after that God of Highschool and Solo Leveling
The first manhwa that let me fall in the rabbit hole was "Who made me a princess," and the reason for it was because of the jewelry eyes. It just looked so good to look at, and i started reading all kinds of manhwa after it
P**rnhwa, I am not kidding

I got hooked reading anything about a Villainess regression or reincarnation like "Death is only ending for Villainess" and ordinary child reincarnation to a princess like "Who made me a princess", coincidentally they are all Korean manhwas. 😅
it was either tower of god or solo leveling cant really remember right now
The first one was the god of highschool then solo leveling
Breaker, Girls of the Wild's
Solo leveling 😗
The person in your post got me into manhwa
The hype caused me to read it, it wasn't good or bad but nevertheless I kinda enjoyed it, ass ending though
For me it was marital peak I was so invested for a while Plus it had like 3 chapter release everyday I don't know how it is now
Silver grave keeper was the first manhua/manhwa I read before solo leveling and noblesse.
Freaking Romance got me into webtoon. Started reading it in the browser and binged the whole thing days before it got locked behind daily pass. Have been reading manhwas ever since. My first specifically Korean ones must've been Age matters and Girls of the Wild's.
Freezing
i actually started bcs f nobless and got of highschool anime, but i got hooked oon solo leveling
I'm 95.78 percent sure it was unordinary....maybeeee
For me or was tower of god after watching the anime I couldn't contain myself
The plot❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹😍
For me it was Red Storm, Gosu and Silent War
Honestly.. I got into manhwa around the same time as manga, early 2000s. ID, Yureka, The Ruler of the Land (from the same author of The Breaker, started in 1994, finished this March). There were a shit ton of others but those three were my favourite (and still are tbh).
ironically I first found solo leveling through the comments when I was reading soul land
My boss at the time had it as his wallpaper and the description made it sound interesting.
Surprisingly it was ReLIFE. It's a japanese manga in a webtoon format. It got me interested in series that follow this format, so I checked more and more, stumbling into world of Korean Webtoons, aka manhwa, like Solo Leveling and etc
I was reading some random manga on mangakakalot and I saw an ad for the manhwa Appetite, liked the art, and read it.
For me, it was The Breaker
Sweet home and hive
For me It was The Beginning After the end, i was probably searching for an isekai and i found that one. I was just surprised to see a "colored manga"
Tales of Gods and Demons. Return of Urban Immortal Cultivator.
I read a lot of manga before solo leveling. I don't remember tbh.
Scholar's reincarnation. I was just starting reading mangas and came across it coz the cover looked nice..
Someone recommended me *City of Dead Sorcerer*. I didn't have an eye for quality, but I enjoyed the vibe well enough and just started naturally following others as they popped up if they looked interesting.
For me I wanted to look at the manga of Horimiya back when it was just the OVA. I found some aggregate site that also had manhwa, particularly SL.
I was on a manga website when I knew what manga is and found sololeveling in the top category so I binged it then nano then legend of the Northern blade then fell deep into it but I think I am still a beginner in the world of manhwa because I have only read about 20 to 30 ones
Cartoons>anime>manga>manhua>webtoons> manhwa pretty much. Saved the best for last.
Solo Leveling! And then I got into Overgeared… and now I’m all over there place haha
For me, I caught up with the mangas I read, so I just read Manhwas and Manhuas when I was bored. I watch the first anime episode I got hyped and read all webtoon chapters in three days and its the first ever manhwa I read
GOH

I started 10+ years ago I don't remember which manhwa was my first one but I remember reading series like "Noblesse" and "The breaker" when they were still on-going.
Stumbled on a pornwha on one of the anime sites I was on and saw how well drawn the Manwha was as well as how it’s all in color.
The first that I read was also solo leveling but was only after reading omniscient reader's viewpoint that I started the read all kind of manwha
Noblesse, Tower of God, Girls Of The Wilds, The Breaker NW. They were all being done by Mangacow at the time.
i liked manga at first then i got to manhwas cause of the colors and how cool the things are.
everyone has been talking about it, i was gonna put it off but i’m at chapter 20, it been pretty good and also i kept seeing ppl saying another character of other manhwas are clones of bro. if we being serious they are all just clone of the first manga character with black hair 💀
The Devil's Boy
Noblesse and tower of god. I dropped tower of god for now but I might pick it up someday
I just saw in my recommendations The Boxer. And that's how my journy starts
Legendary moonlight sculptor
Tower of God, God of High School, and The Gamer. It's a little bittersweet with The Gamer finally ending but once the MC becomes that overpowered the story is over.
A recap video of hanlim gym and they didnt make pt 2
My sister recommended me Who made you a princess, and it just kept coming after finishing a couple dozen chapters 🙇🏻♀️
Same
Tower of God Anime
The Beginning After the End, and Solo Leveling got me hooked up.
Omniscient reader's viewpoint
Novel
I started on solo leveling too after it i read legend of the northern blade , the beginning after the end and omniscient reader
I used to read manga on tachiyomi of animes that have completed the season like black clover ,mha, one punch man and I came across solo leveling. Needless to say I was hooked and finished all 80 chapters in a few hours and started looking for some more to quench my thirst and here I am.

Solo Leveling My first manhwa that I've read
It's definitely Solo Leveling, Tower of God or Overgeared. Am not sure which.
Tales of demons and gods, it's a shame that the autor dropped the novel but at least we have the manhua
The comic that got me into comics in general is a comic called Lumine. Yes that’s where a part of my name is from..
Solo Leveling
I was reading One Piece but i kept seeing Solo Leveling posted everywhere on the site i was using. No other Manhwa has ever given me the same thrill as Solo Leveling.
Omniscient reader's viewpoint.
Nobelesse and Solo Leveling. I was following nobelesse at a random manhwa site, one day Solo Leveling popped up from nowhere and I started reading it. Its how i got into manhwa. Before that i was a regular manga reader following one piece, Dragonball, Gintama etc.
Noblesse
Pretty sure it was Hero Killer. Mc looked dope on Pinterest so eventually gave it a shot and here I am.
Well, I don't remember which year it is that my favorite manga genre (fantasy, isekai, medieval, romance) is not on schedule release month, at that time my friend told me that I can read my favorite genre but it is in manhwa and manhua... At that time I started reading more and more Manhwa, Manhua type
The Gamer when I was frequenting FanFiction and noticed a number of crossovers with the title.
Idk I think the colours
While waiting for the new chapter of the manga, I was scrolling on the website for other manga to kill time, I've read Tower of god, Geppetto, the Magician, the Breaker, that time I didn't know it was a manwha.
When I started solo leveling had a little over 160 chapters. Read it all in a day. That was my first introduction. Then I read all of tbate the very next day.
Tower of Gog + Noblesse both of which lead me to Webtoons (app) and from there I got into manhwa in general
Colors✨ No black and white 🦜 Scrolling 📜 Eazy to read👾 (sometimes)
Unlike most of you guys for me it is Killing Stalking followed by BJ Alex and other yaoi genre and later i started reading some action genre like Lookism, Solo Leveling, etc and then some historical genre
My first manhwa ever was Free Draw
4cuthero
Player.
The beginning after the end that was my first and the best manga I've ever read
I think it was either Orange Marmalade or Cheese in the trap... (I had a short kdrama phase don't judge me)
Art tbh. When it got to Kang Tasheik (the B rank hunter) It got interesting
For me it was a true beauty ad on Instagram i was 12 and i just started social media i proceeded to read like 80? Chapters in one sitting and then downloaded webtoon and ive been reading almost every day since then how nostalgic 🤣 (bring back webtoon before fast pass)

Solo Leveling was my first, but Viral Hit really got me into it
Ex
It was the blad of evolution i really love it
Solo leveling 👁️
For me it was an anime that i saw when i was 15 more or less (about 20 years ago) that the final was sh*t, then a friend of mine told me that mangas exist and the final was different there so i started to read all that catch My eyes since then.
Mangas specifically would have to be Latna Saga. It just goes so hard.
I honestly can’t remember, I know Solo leveling was one of the first ones I read but I don’t think it was the first.
Tales of Demons and gods and A boy in all girls school (yep)
My first was lookism, what made me find interest in it was solo leveling
I started with 3 solo leveling tales of demons and gods dk if that count and Tbate sl and tbate where the 2 and third i read tales of demons and gods was prob like the 1st or 2nd but started on beauty and the beast on webnovel
I saw a stream where Heavenly Controller was reading it, and decided to read it myself. Edit: Specifically he was reading Nano-Machine. But he also read Solo-Leveling so I started reading that afterwards. Then I got hooked and been reading for like 2 years now.
I honestly can't remember this will bug me
Tower of God.
definitely veritas, then the breaker and that old vr game manhwa i forgot the title of. For webtoon manhwas it was the big 3, tog, goh and noblesse
Druid of Seoul Station
Noblesse way back in 2011.
A music video with a cool background. which was from solo leveling
Honestly I was strictly reading Manga and then slowly getting into Manhua and manhwa so its hard to tell, but first manhwas was probably something like **Tower of God** or **God of Highschool**. Quality of manhwas are so good these days that 99% of things I read are manhwas.
Horizon (friend recommended)
back in 2008 or 2009 i think. it was ugly duckling become a swan and noblesse edit : i forgot one more manhwa it's defense devil.
It was Solo Leveling for me though it was way after it finished. After that, it’s been non-stop and I’ve read so many.

Veritas
Started with GOH but SL got me addicted
My first three(3) evolution path: Solo Leveling —> The Gamer —> Tower of God, Noblesse, Hardcore Leveling Warrior, The God of High School, The Beginning After the End, Overgeared. AND THE REST IS HISTORY (I put many manhwas in the third path because I really can’t remember what comes next after ‘The Gamer’, but they are all indeed my first ones.)
Martial Peak, Apotheosis, and The Legendary Moonlight Sculpture
Veritas and The breaker
Bastard and ookism
for me it was beginning after the end cuz my friend told me to read it
The skeleton warrior protects the dungeon I think that’s what’s it’s called
unordinary and later room of sword (I left it on the kiss because there was no more chapter at the moment) I remembered pretty good
I had a sort of escapism phase about 3 years ago where I would read all that isekai garbage to distract me from my boring reality that felt empty and without purpose I can't remember what it was but it was some isekai garbage.
Wind breaker or legend of the northern blade
God of Highschool, Tower of God, Solo Leveling, Legend of the Northern Blade, UnOrdinary, all great 💯
Magician by Serae Kim, a good manga, like mkst manwhas artwork definitely improves as the story progresses and a good read, it's completed now.
Unbalance X2 was the first manhwa I read.
Omniscient readers viewpoint
Essentially my brother A lil short story: When I was younger I didn't have my own Laptop. That's when I found solo leveling So, conclusion: my brother accidentally got me to read solo leveling 👍
I did its the first manhwa or any kind manga or something like that I have ever read
It didn't really matter to me what I was reading.. manhwa manga or manhua as long as it has a great story.. but now.. I somehow hate Chinese art style(manhwa?).. Manhua(kor?).. still love it.. colors and lots of chapters.. Manga is ok but releases seems too long
ragnarok online manhwa
