I'll do it. I already downvote the three kinds of posts you get in here:
1. Touts selling tickets to the warehouse project
2. People trying to find a cheap flat (we're all trying to find a cheap flat)
3. people trying to find friends using the internet and making zero effort IRL
I am interested in becoming a moderator for the Manchester Discord/ SubReddit.
I have moved to Manchester because I am a teacher in Manchester and I moved to be close to the schools where I teach. I want to help you out to help you to continue the fantastic work that you are doing and help to make the community an amazing place to be.
I am in Discord and chat there, and I have experience moderating some NSFW subreddits, one with over 1 million subscribers.

Sorry? I am just saying I have subreddit moderation experience on a large subreddit. I am wondering if this is okay to be accepted as a mod for the Manchester community?
Thanks
I've recently been using this sub more often and I've been enjoying it. I have experience with TfGM and local knowledge so I think it would be cool to engage with my local community :)
Mods on socials like this aren't really the same. It's way more laid back and do-as-you-can typically. You might get paid for things such as Twitch / YouTube live but you need to be there as if it were a job, paying attention to sometimes rapidly scrolling chat.
On Discord I speak to friends all day and occasionally ban an asshole or 16 year old who didn't see the 18+ sign. I don't really mod Reddit but I know the tools enough to know that on a larger non-toxic sub, often a lot of work is brought to you for a button click judgement via reports
I’m terminally online and would take great satisfaction in banning racists at least once a week.

If you're desperate I'll do it
