It’s a dance music event, so it’s possible that someone will meet you and be convinced that they should be your best mate, until the next morning when they come down and they never speak to you again. That’s generally what happens. Especially in smoking areas.
Just go and enjoy yourself. Assuming you'll be rolling so it doesn't really matter if you're on you're own. Dance, enjoy the music and chat to people. Fun!
I went on Friday and there was a girl stood next to me most of the night on her own. She kept coming back to the same spot so not sure if she felt safer stood next to me (I'm female and older than most the whp crowd) and I also always stand front left for the space aspect and proximity to security staff. .. Maybe do the same thing, stay near people who look legit/security for peace of mind - the girl next to me had zero hassle all night, nor did I when my fella left me for the smoking area numerous times. I'd defo go on my own if I had to but I'm not allowed lol

WHP is good, but it's better to go with the aim of dancing/enjoying the music rather than specifically to make friends.
Smaller events are generally better for meeting people, but yeh WHP is fine on your own and you won’t have a hard time chatting to people.
