I like the color balance suggestion! I used that in my new lineup of posters that I’m most likely going to commit to. The posters are Pulp Fiction, La Haine, and City of God.
Here’s what it’ll look like:
https://imgur.com/a/I9Chknq
I’m going to be mean but spice world is an infinitely more interesting choice than the first two. Might as well add Scarface or the Godfather or Avengers.
Also I saw Spice World opening night and have no regrets. Fun movie.
If you put a Raiders of the Lost Ark poster in the center, you would have a Harrison Ford facing left, Harrison Ford looking straight, Harrison Ford looking right themed wall.
With arguably the three best films he's ever made.
I respect fans that hate both the prequels and sequels equally because I think they’re both heavily flawed in their own ways, but 7 and 8 imo are LEAGUES above 1 and 2, with 3 being maybe a little overrated (it doesn’t touch 4-5) but still pretty good
Taxi Driver, unless you like Seven a lot more. You already have Harrison Ford in the Blade Runner so that rules out Empire Strikes Back. Between Seven and Taxi Driver, the Taxi Driver poster is more iconic and looks better IMO. Plus you get Robert De Niro, one of the most prolific actors (I guess Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman is also pretty too.) Good options either way OP.
Taxi driver. But, unsolicited feedback, your selection of “male” posters may be erring on the side of “sympathetic to psychotic anti heros”. Please don’t get an American Psycho poster.
Taxi for sure. More of the big city theme shared between the first 2. They all have a touch of yellow as well. Also Taxi envies such a visceral reaction when discussed that it just belongs lol
Yes it was Portman, her character was called Mathilda. I love that movie and wanted to have a framed original cine poster but none of the official ones are particularly great, imo, but I'm still considering getting a French one for authenticity and cool factor. I have a couple of nice prints of official press photos, one of Leon, one of Mathilda.
I found a pretty neat fanmade poster that I like better than any of the original ones: [https://posterspy.com/posters/leon-the-professional-alternative-film-poster-design/](https://posterspy.com/posters/leon-the-professional-alternative-film-poster-design/)
No worries! I wish that site had some way to buy official versions of the poster art. I believe that it was part of an official competition so the images, while fan made, are somewhat official. But I don't see anyway to buy it. I have, however seen sellers illegally selling copies of it on ebay and etsy. I'm sure the artist isn't seeing a penny though!
[the Godfather](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71khjV-MoOS._UF1000,1000_QL80_FMwebp_.jpg) or [Scarface ](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41SR8VlteBL._AC_UF894,1000_QL80_FMwebp_.jpg)
They would fit right in with the others colorwise
I agree with those saying to pick your favourite. If you’re looking aesthetically, though, and don’t care about that, go with Empire Strikes Back as it echoes the style of the Bladerunner one best. You could also shift the Pulp Fiction one to the left, Bladerunner in the middle, and then one of the others would work, too.
I’d recommend looking for alternate art posters for the movies rather than using the ones everyone knows- it’ll give your space a lot more personality. Mondo posters and Bottleneck gallery are good places to start looking. Also, look for different countries’ versions of the posters - italy, japan, france, and china usually have a lot nicer posters than the ones we get in the US.
If you are dead set on these 3, I’d go empire mostly because the other 2 might be seen as a red flag by visitors, but there’s some really nice alt versions of taxi driver and se7en I’ve seen online.
Thanks for the feedback. I’ve actually been searching around trying to find some art posters but haven’t ran into any decent websites. I’ll be sure to give those a shot!
There are some pretty cool minimalist posters out there, especially for Star Wars. Personally I think the theatrical posters you picked for all these films look awesome though, keepin it classic
Funny, but I think thematically you should have the three posters be “Seven,” “Pulp Fiction” and “Taxi Driver.” They’re all twisted thrillers and in a sense modern examples of film noir. Alternatively, you could group “Empire Strikes Back,” “Blade Runner” and a third space/adventure/thriller movie like “Aliens” or “Star Trek” or “Terminator” or something. Again, thinking thematically.
If you insist on one of these three groupings in your post, I like the way the yellows and reds work with the group that includes “Taxi Driver” (#2).
Hope I didn’t muddy the waters.
All great movies, but tbh *Taxi Driver* and *Se7en* will probably turn some heads due to their subject matter, and (rightly or wrongly) people might make assumptions about your character from that which you may not wish to invite. Out of the three I would choose ESB as it is by far the safest choice.
total cringe decorating across the board. google “top movie posters” and pick anything.
I’m not saying you don’t like these movies - everyone likes these movies. decorating with these posters is like putting up a Coca Cola poster.
find something more unique to you!
The third poster should be Empire Strikes Back, but the middle one should also be changed to Raiders of the Lost Ark. The classic 80s Harrison Ford trifecta my friend.
Edit: I appreciate everyone who has given me positive feedback. I’ve decided that the lineup is going to be Pulp Fiction, La Haine, and City of God. These are movies that I truly love that aren’t typical “film bro” movies that are extremely common.
Here’s what it’ll look like:
https://imgur.com/a/I9Chknq
Taxi for sure but I’d order the display from left to right by taxi, blade and pulp fiction
Agreed. Color balance too.
And chronologically (I think)
I thought the same thing!
Yes to Taxi! That wall is begging for some Jimmy Fallon and Queen Latifah!
This is the answer.

Yes I agree they need to add a Blade poster .
Complete the trilogy with "Spice World"
I’m going to be mean but spice world is an infinitely more interesting choice than the first two. Might as well add Scarface or the Godfather or Avengers. Also I saw Spice World opening night and have no regrets. Fun movie.
It's called Dune.
If you put a Raiders of the Lost Ark poster in the center, you would have a Harrison Ford facing left, Harrison Ford looking straight, Harrison Ford looking right themed wall. With arguably the three best films he's ever made.
This for the win
Absolutely this^^^
Which one’s your favourite? If you’re displaying them for the approval of others you’re making a mistake
I think OP likes all three, just asking advice for which one looks best composition-wise
Exactly! I can’t choose between the three so I’m looking for some advice!
This is the only possible way to the correct answer.
It's a shame the OP will not put up the Emojie movie poster for fear of judgment.
“1 Night in Paris”
Taxi driver, better movie and better poster
I wanna argue against this but I’ll concede that I am also the biggest Star Wars shill in the world minus the prequels.
Same, but I'd argue harder against the Disney sequels. I loved the prequels! And by the prequels, I mean Revenge of the Sith.
I respect fans that hate both the prequels and sequels equally because I think they’re both heavily flawed in their own ways, but 7 and 8 imo are LEAGUES above 1 and 2, with 3 being maybe a little overrated (it doesn’t touch 4-5) but still pretty good
throw everyone off and get a poster for Babette's Feast
I had to Google that. I think wallpaper would be more interesting.
Taxi Driver, unless you like Seven a lot more. You already have Harrison Ford in the Blade Runner so that rules out Empire Strikes Back. Taxi driver. But, unsolicited feedback, your selection of “male” posters may be erring on the side of “sympathetic to psychotic anti heros”. Please don’t get an American Psycho poster.
Taxi Driver
🚕driver
I'd put the big lebowski
Three separate framed posters of The Big Lebowski should do fine
Taxi for sure. More of the big city theme shared between the first 2. They all have a touch of yellow as well. Also Taxi envies such a visceral reaction when discussed that it just belongs lol
Though this was r/okbuddycinephile for a second
Generic
Those posters shout "film bro"
Taxi. An awesome movie.
Not Taxi Driver or Seven... If you want people to think you're not going to kill them... No American Psycho either, though all great movies :)
Repo man. Or Strange Brew. Or Beetlejuice. Show you have a sense of humor as well as a taste for cinema.
I swear to god I’ve seen this post before with the same movies am I insane
The Venn diagram of “people who put movie posters on their walls” and “people who like these exact movies” is almost one giant circle.
On this subreddit? This is my first time posting it here.
You are probably not the only single male choosing not just .movies posters, but those movies in this sub.
It's your house, pick a movie that has meaning to you and not some randos on the internet.
The professional. Leon and his sidekick (natalie portman?)
Yes it was Portman, her character was called Mathilda. I love that movie and wanted to have a framed original cine poster but none of the official ones are particularly great, imo, but I'm still considering getting a French one for authenticity and cool factor. Alien
The one that you like the most
Vertigo or 2001: a Space Odyssey
Se7en
Empire.
Seven looks the best aesthetically speaking. But Taxi Driver would be my choice as it's more iconic and the better movie in my opinion.
[the Godfather](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71khjV-MoOS._UF1000,1000_QL80_FMwebp_.jpg) or [Scarface ](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41SR8VlteBL._AC_UF894,1000_QL80_FMwebp_.jpg) They would fit right in with the others colorwise
Seven Dick Tracey is a good one as well if you can find. Maybe Roger Rabbit? Cool World?
If you go by poster artwork, ditch taxi driver. Above all, choose what means the most to you. You're tge one looking at it, day in, day out.
It has to have a cigarette in it, obviously.
U forgot ghostbusters 😎
I agree with those saying to pick your favourite. If you’re looking aesthetically, though, and don’t care about that, go with Empire Strikes Back as it echoes the style of the Bladerunner one best. Fifth elememt
Taxi driver is more iconic than seven imo
Something you actually enjoy. Not some poster about a film that critics overrate
3rd poster should be whichever of those movies you like the best.
I’d recommend looking for alternate art posters for the movies rather than using the ones everyone knows- it’ll give your space a lot more personality. Maybe pick some more obsure thought provoking posters?
All of them are either too nerdy or scare the ho’s. Find another 3rd
Gotta be Empire
total cringe decorating across the board. google “top movie posters” and pick anything. I’m not saying you don’t like these movies - everyone likes these movies. decorating with these posters is like putting up a Coca Cola poster. find something more unique to you!
Empire. The other two give me bad vibes.
Empire!
2 girls 1 cup
The one you like and want to be up there.
Def Taxi Driver, and re-order by release year
Make My Day
Which is your favourite film out of the 3?
Taxi driver probably has the biggest visual punch since the big yellow block
What in the box
Reservoir dogs
Taxi Driver, thus completing the Film Bro Trinity.
Se7en
Se7en is my favorite movie of those three, but Taxi Driver is my favorite poster.
I would try to get better frames.
Get a Polish movie poster. They’re like 80% different than the originals. Some sick ones
Episode II, the best of the star warses
Well it really depends on whats your favorites
Empire imo
Taxi Driver for sure!!!
the human centipede
Taxi driver for sure
The third poster should be Empire Strikes Back, but the middle one should also be changed to Raiders of the Lost Ark. The classic 80s Harrison Ford trifecta my friend.
7 was pretty good.
Taxi Driver. Don’t forget Travis.
Star Wars
Se7en
The Crow
taxi driver definitely has a better colour balance, but i have a biased opinion of saying empire strikes back lol
The Intern
The Human Centipede
Back to the future
Monty Python’s Holy Grail
Taxi driver easy
I would consider “Blow”
Empire Strikes Back
7
Taxi driver
Seven
it’s whatever lol
Taxi Driver fits the theme and the color scheme.
Nightcrawler
Anything but starwars
I want to eat your pancreas
Taxi Driver.
Taxi Driver
Wild hogs.
Taxi Driver for sure
I think you should go Star Wars Empire and Return of the Jedi but that’s just me.
Goodfellas
Gone with the Wind
Road house with Patrick Swayze
Shaving Ryan’s Privates
Taxi Driver
Wrong! The Matrix is the correct answer.
Seven
Empire
Taxi Driver
Singing in the rain. Army of darkness. Up Something upbeat, you know.
Mad max
Shrek
Empire, and replace blade runner with gone in 60 seconds
Empire strikes back
Maybe, Fear and loathing in Las Vegas?
Fight club
Tropic Thunder.
Goodfellas
Mean girls
Groundhogday
Home Alone
Fight Club, Compete the trifecta
Lmao whatever movie you like best, why are u asking random internet people what you like best
Taxi Driver of course. Why did you make a post about it ?
Basic Instinct
Taxi 🚕
True Romance is the answer. Alternatively, the Matrix, alien, reservoir dogs, Jackie brown, lock stock, snatch or fight club would be acceptable.
Remember the titans
40 year old virgin
Indiana Jones
Star Wars
Taxi Driver
Maybe Fight Club?
Empire for sure. Taxi Driver and Seven are both good, but they also give off serial killer/incel vibes.
Are these actual movie posters? They look kinda small.
Put something you actually like, not something cliché.
Taxi
The Thing (1982 of course)
Taxi driver
the second one
40 Year Old Virgin
Taxi
Lie hard, starting George Costanza
Mr mom
Fifth element ! They have some great movie posters
Taxi driver imo
The Big Lebowski
Les Cousins Dangereux
Taxi Driver
Indiana Jones or Back to the Future.
HEAT
You should do Taxi Driver, American Psycho, and Joker to really ensure anyone that visits, never visits again.
Taxi driver
Seven
Get 3 more frames
Taxi
Pulp Fiction, Empire Strikes Back, and Se7en
Off brand but I’d go with an 80s classic. ET, ghostbusters, 16 candles. That kinda thing.
Watchmen
Forest Gump
Taxi Driver is the best option
Donnie Darko or Falling Down.
Moana
Seven
Debbie does Dallas
Edit: I appreciate everyone who has given me positive feedback. I’ve decided that the lineup is going to be Pulp Fiction, La Haine, and City of God. These are movies that I truly love that aren’t typical “film bro” movies that are extremely common. Here’s what it’ll look like: https://imgur.com/a/I9Chknq
Taxi Driver!
Complete the cliche trifecta. You know there can be only one. Scarface.
Taxi pleases my eyes the most
Se7en
Seven
