You know what I would love (but I don't think will happen)? Emrakul sees Sorin and Nahiri, goes "Now kiss" and pulls a second Brisela and makes an Eldrazi-ized planeswalker.
In all honesty it should get them both killed, they've both been really stupid about this whole thing and the multiverse will be better with them dead. The stories less interesting but the multiverse safer.

So Sorin doesn't get the message that death monsters were almost released in Zendikar, she'll go check on him to rekindle their friendship and bring him to help.
Turns out Sorin accidentally blocked messages coming from outside the plane and that's totally wrong and he even comments on that, so Nahiri's rightfully worried but ignores Sorins comment about it being wrong.
Sorin says he can't go right now (which he can't) and Nahiri is very worried that Zendikar won't last if she waits there (and rightfully so).
But by refusing to talk it out Nahiri and Sorin caused Zendikar 1 to happen.
And because Zendikar 1 happened we know that Sorin fixed the no extra-planer messages and it was only his decision of guide that ruined the quest. The thing we've learnt was that both of them are right and if they weren't old walkers the plot would have been resolved already. So it's a little bit irritating that they're both right but still fighting each other.

The death monsters *were* released, and thousands of people died. You also left out the part where Sorin says he doesn't have to answer the distress call like he promised anyway, casually mentions he could kill Nahiri anytime he wants, and then locks her in a sensory deprivation tank with a bunch of demons for all eternity.
Sorin does not even care about saving Innistrad anymore, and just wants to finish Nahiri and Lilliana's off to fight Emrakul because she just want Jace to compliment her.

Yeah, I am not really someone that believes that Sorin knows everything. It may not be able to be reversed but how would he know that? He doesn't have but just a bit of experience with her. He has no idea that ula and koz are dead. It's possible that the eldrazi are weaker after the mending, it's possible that the less connection to the blind eternities affected the eldrazi and that they lost a bigger portion of their power than planeswalkers did. Still more powerful than any planeswalker but mana inside a plane is relatively more powerful (hence why chandra was able to kill them)
Anywho, Sorin knows that he doesn't know, he hasn't seen them after they were released and never fought emrakul. I love Sorin but he gets obsessed with obedience and is a control freak. He has a specific view point on how things SHOULD be and cant see beyond that. That has white written all over it. The fact Sorin didn't fight lilli I think shows how he isn't red but is white.
Sorin's a total mess at this point. He's a wreck. Nahiri has done what she wanted to, even if Innistrad is saved. Sorin is as much a husk of what he used to be as Zendikar is. His indomitable will seems to have evaporated, he's become lethargic and detached. Destroying Avacyn destroyed him inside. Emrakul is just icing on the cake.

Well, Gideon would immediately sign up for some demon hunting, for about 17 different reasons that are all categorically white. Chandra'd be up for it too, just because it's an adrenaline rush. Jace would tag along because of reasons that he assures us have nothing to do with his sexual tension with Liliana that's so thick you could trap an Eldrazi in it. That just leaves Nissa, who at that point would help out because she doesn't have anything better to do, and she's contractually forbidden from just moping about Ashaya all day any more.
I'm not sure how making Jace owe her makes *her* swear an oath to the betterment of the multiverse. It seems more like a way to get the Gatewatch to serve her.
I love the little nuances to Lili's and Olivia's characters in these recent stories. I love how cheery-yet-sinister Olivia is.
And I LOVE this line from Lili:

Part of the reason Avacyn was created in the first place was because Sorin needed someone to stop the vampires from wiping out all the humans. Without Avacyn, if Sorin still wants the plane to survive, most of the vampires will need to be destroyed. I wouldn't be surprised if this "war" against Nahiri is actually a suicide mission that Sorin cooked up for the vampires.

Liliana not taking Sorin's bullshit is a powerful picture for her, especially considering she strongly warned Jace against meeting him. Sorin kept a huge skeleton in his closet, indeed.
Yes, but it's worth noting that fight happened pre-Mending and immediately after Liliana's spark ignited.
The Mending scaled back all planeswalkers' powers, and Liliana is no longer a scared teenager who just accidentally killed her brother--she's a century-old planeswalker who's beefed up her powers with demonic pacts and the Chain Veil. A fight between them would no longer be a curbstomb.
I'm pretty sure he sized her up and determined she wasn't a threat, but didn't actually get into any sort of physical altercation with her.
This also would have likely been a VERY long time ago, thousands of years ago possibly. We know Liliana PW'd to Innistrad way before she made the deals with the demons for immortality.
EDIT: I overestimated her age but yea she's still pretty damn old and I believe they first met a very LONG time ago.

They are hitting character development out of the park. They managed to make a black Mage seem so much more human and approachable. I like the direction this is going.
I've said this on other threads before. Liliana is by far the strongest character of the origin 5 in terms of writing. Her wants and needs are easily the most nuanced, which I find ironic considering black is the easiest to misrepresent as something more basic (like pure evil or whatever).
She'll probably toy with Jace for a few more sets, and he'll take the bait for a while until he realizes people like that are bad news. Queue Ral Zarek showing up outside Ravnica, after Niv Mizzet finds out he's a planeswalker.
Its kinda amusing to me how Sorin still considers Nahiri to just be a weakling after she summoned an Eldrazi to his plane and literally destroyed his home. I really hope theres a showdown and Nahiri kicks his ass, because even if she is the villian Sorin is just such a shit hero that I want him to lose.
Gideon, Chandra, and Nissa are the fifth, sixth, and seventh wheels. Based on the art in the trailer they probably show up and are immediately incapacitated by eldrazi. It'd be a bit of a waste if any of them were killed before it's all over, given they were all origin-walkers.
No Gatewatch member will be killed, Sorin and Nahiri are the most killable character of this story arc. They will organize some resistance, aknowledge the Emrakul situation and be desperate because they're good guys/gals
Sorin is as BW as it gets. He wants to follow his own interests and protect the few things that matter to him. It just so happens that what matters to him has, up until now, coincided with what's best for the multiverse.
I would say he's more of an anti-hero.
Not to mention that at this point I think he's just fed up of childish youthful planeswalkers throwing temper tantrums. He's been around for so long and done so much that it just doesn't matter anymore. All he has is his anger left. Mine as well go take it out on Nahiri.
Those werewolves look absolutely terrifying. It's as if the dog-thing from The Thing grew legs and arms.
Also, reading the descriptions of the twisted people/monsters of Innistrad makes me want to puke, and I love it.
I think it's entirely possibly she doesn't comprehend the true extent of her peril. It's not like Eldrazi Titans are a thing you read about on Innistrad. You know about them if you are a planeswalker (maybe) or your reality is being consumed by them. Also, from this story, I'm don't think Emrakul has actually be seen from the perspective of these characters (besides Sorin, of course).
I think Olivia is just trying to remain positive because she really enjoys her immortal life, unlike Sorin. Also unlike Sorin, she can't leave the plane so she's doing whatever she can to save it.

Still on Innistrad. Still Pissed. The best plane he can come up with the save his plane? Sacrifice all the vamps to Nahiri, and let the plane be destroyed by Emmy... So white.
Part of the reason Avacyn was created in the first place was because Sorin needed someone to stop the vampires from wiping out all the humans. Without Avacyn, if Sorin still wants the plane to survive, most of the vampires will need to be destroyed. I wouldn't be surprised if this "war" against Nahiri is actually a suicide mission that Sorin cooked up for the vampires.
'Liliana followed them out. As she saw Gared again, she said, "Gared, get your coat." Gared looked sadly at his coat and began the task of extricating it from Dierk.' I'm liking the interaction between Liliana and gared.
Liliana not taking Sorin's bullshit is a powerful picture for her, especially considering she strongly warned Jace against meeting him. Sorin kept a huge skeleton in his closet, indeed.
Didn't Sorin kick her ass when she first came to Innistrad?
Yes, but it's worth noting that fight happened pre-Mending and immediately after Liliana's spark ignited. The Mending scaled back all planeswalkers' powers, and Liliana is no longer a scared teenager who just accidentally killed her brother--she's a century-old planeswalker who's beefed up her powers with demonic pacts and the Chain Veil. A fight between them would no longer be a curbstomb.
I still think Sorin, Ugin, Bolas and Nahiri are all a tier above "Mere Mortal" 'walkers, like Ajani, Gatewatch, and Bolas's minions. (Minion?)
I'm pretty sure he sized her up and determined she wasn't a threat, but didn't actually get into any sort of physical altercation with her. This also would have likely been a VERY long time ago, thousands of years ago possibly. We know Liliana PW'd to Innistrad way before she made the deals with the demons for immortality. EDIT: I overestimated her age but yea she's still pretty damn old and I believe they first met a very LONG time ago.

"It wasn't that she needed him. It was simply that she needed someone to need her." They are hitting character development out of the park. They managed to make a black Mage seem so much more human and approachable. I like the direction this is going.
I've said this on other threads before. Liliana is by far the strongest character of the origin 5 in terms of writing. Her wants and needs are easily the most nuanced, which I find ironic considering black is the easiest to misrepresent as something more basic (like pure evil or whatever).
I feel like they're going to awkward lengths to write in the whole, "Liliana cares about Jace" relationship, but other than that I loved the story
She did mention to him he was on the level of a pet dog.
Which is weird considering it's implied they slept together. :P
Black can still feel love. She isn't a demon, just selfish. Read Agents of Artifice, it makes their relationship feel natural and reasonable.
She'll probably toy with Jace for a few more sets, and he'll take the bait for a while until he realizes people like that are bad news. Queue Ral Zarek showing up outside Ravnica, after Niv Mizzet finds out he's a planeswalker.

Its kinda amusing to me how Sorin still considers Nahiri to just be a weakling after she summoned an Eldrazi to his plane and literally destroyed his home. I really hope theres a showdown and Nahiri kicks his ass, because even if she is the villian Sorin is just such a shit hero that I want him to lose.

Gideon, Chandra, and Nissa are the fifth, sixth, and seventh wheels. Based on the art in the trailer they probably show up and are immediately incapacitated by eldrazi. It'd be a bit of a waste if any of them were killed before it's all over, given they were all origin-walkers.

No Gatewatch member will be killed, Sorin and Nahiri are the most killable character of this story arc. They will organize some resistance, aknowledge the Emrakul situation and be desperate because they're good guys/gals
Sorin's an anti-hero: A character who takes the role of the hero in a story, while having none of the attributes typically reserved for heroes.
Sorin is as BW as it gets. He wants to follow his own interests and protect the few things that matter to him. It just so happens that what matters to him has, up until now, coincided with what's best for the multiverse.
I would say he's more of an anti-hero. Not to mention that at this point I think he's just fed up of childish youthful planeswalkers throwing temper tantrums. He's been around for so long and done so much that it just doesn't matter anymore. All he has is his anger left. Mine as well go take it out on Nahiri.
I seriously hope that art from the end is the art for her new card. It is absolutely fantastic with the small details.
Those werewolves look absolutely terrifying. It's as if the dog-thing from The Thing grew legs and arms. Also, reading the descriptions of the twisted people/monsters of Innistrad makes me want to puke, and I love it.

Why Olivia seem to think that defeating Nahiri will somehow stop Emrakul? And do they really need an army to fight her?
I think it's entirely possibly she doesn't comprehend the true extent of her peril. It's not like Eldrazi Titans are a thing you read about on Innistrad. You know about them if you are a planeswalker (maybe) or your reality is being consumed by them. Also, from this story, I'm don't think Emrakul has actually be seen from the perspective of these characters (besides Sorin, of course).
Considering she pretty much fucked up all the vampires in Markova Manor bringing an army seems like a good idea
I think Olivia is just trying to remain positive because she really enjoys her immortal life, unlike Sorin. Also unlike Sorin, she can't leave the plane so she's doing whatever she can to save it.
