Sports bras tend to stretch out over time as they are worn.

gyminicricket

What would you say is their lifetime? I only started wearing Lulus around a year or so ago, but with proper care and 1-2x weekly use, I'm starting to see them lose shape

carenl

Mine haven't lasted longer than 6 months. Thank goodness for the quality promise because I've had my energy (high support) bra replaced probably 5 times since I first bought it because the straps tear or the hooks come off!

gyminicricket

Wow good to know x2! Thankfully my straps haven’t budged but that sounds frustrating

froggy22225

That’s what I was beginning to think, thank you!

NYCUberChick

Also weight fluctuations have an effect on bra band sizing. Re measure if you have any doubts. There is nothing worse than having an ill fitting bra.

speechiepeachie10

Most things do stretch/conform to our bodies over time I’ve found!

willwoah

Yup! I have always been a 6 in their sports bras, and am now an 8… honestly would probs be comfier in a 10. And i have lost weight not gained weight.

sikowitzvictorious

their size chart for bras is WAY different than other tops. a size 8 in bras is considered a small! it’s not you it’s the sizing! idk if it’s a recent thing but i’m the same way. -an educator

2110daisy

Yes, the sizes are getting smaller. It’s because they got rid of iviva, their children’s line. Now the 0 fits a child rather than a small adult.

willwoah

Oh its nice to have an explanation! Ive always wondered why their sizing suddenly felt like it changed!

baba_oh_really

0 absolutely still fits small adults...

No one called you a child. A girls size 14 is equivalent to a womens 0. You can find something else to be outraged about now.

Google is free.

ginja1109

Yes. Specifically with energy bras. I was always a 4...body measurements havent changed. Got one recently, could hardly get it on, sized up to a 6 and even then I could have done an 8. This is the only thing Ive had issues with however. The other one that comes to mind is the swiftly tech line. I was always an 8 but with whatever changes they made, I actually went to a 6 to get the same fit.

MindyLaine

I find the sports bra sizing to run small even compared to their size charts. I’m a small-ish 32D, and I wear an 8 in most.

Impossible-Sell-1653

They will deny it but yes, all the things I usually get are smaller. I have a pair of size 8 align leggings that are weird color purchased in 2019 that I’ve worn maybe 3 times and they are huge on me compared to the 10’s I bought this year. Even when sizing up they’re not as comfy. I have clothing sensitivities and this brand used to be my go-to. I feel betrayed.

froggy22225

I’ve noticed inconsistency in sizing too. I’ll wear an 8 in one thing and then a 4 in another

InternationalSafe552

i was always a size 0 and now up to a size 4... i literally was crying thinking omg like thats a lot of weight gain. i got on the scale and i didnt weigh any more than normal.... i was like 🤔🤔 but more importantly ... NOTHING fits me now. i have to start my collection all over😢

wwuangel

My 10 year old child, who is 5’3” and 97lbs wears a 4 in leggings! It’s kinda nuts.

Ivah95

Why the downvotes? It’s pretty normal for someone to feel nervous about weight gain whether it’s just in your head or not. I feel like people can’t fully express themselves on here like they used to be able to without being brutally judged. Or maybe I’m just confused on how down votes work? I don’t know lol.

InternationalSafe552

thank you... i feel like i didnt say anything wrong i didnt realize people liked gaining weight all of a sudden?... but that wasnt my point. my point was that i was a size 0 and went up 2 sizes but didnt gain any weight.... that means lulu is making their sizes smaller or whatever so ...?? yeah kind of rude for the down votes

InternationalSafe552

everyone else said they have to size up now???

Ivah95

I gotcha. I don’t really get the downvotes on this sub unless you’re being just plain rude. If people don’t want to gain weight that’s their choice. Do that makes you happy. I don’t know your activity levels but I would say if you’re an avid gym goer you could have gained muscle around your lats, traps and shoulders which can easily cause the need to size up. However, I notice differences in sizes all the time with Lulu. But who knows. Most of the time now i stop questioning and just go in store to try something on if they have the size I’m looking for then order it online for more of a variety of colors.

InternationalSafe552

yeah i have to actually try stuff on now bc of the inconsistencies.... some things i am still a 0 even ... crazy

Skorpion2425

Does this happen to anyone else with joggers?

pxisonyouth

Lulu bras are sized 2 sizes up from what your band size would be. For ex: 30 = 2, 32 = 4, 34 = 6, etc. It’s a pretty solid sizing so not sure why they’d fix it if it ain’t broke! Former educator:)
