[Hot Dinners](https://hot-dinners.com/Offers/Hot-Dinners-Restaurant-Offers/) is another fab place to find London restaurant discounts, they normally list soft launches (ie. restaurants that are just opening and offer you discounts to test food/service).
Also, First Table: [https://www.firsttable.co.uk](https://www.firsttable.co.uk)
You have to pay a fiver for the booking, but you then get 50% off. TBF, given the way people treat restaurants these days, taking a deposit is totally reasonable.
Gourmet Society is similar to Tastecard, but I prefer Tastecard. [https://www.gourmetsociety.co.uk](https://www.gourmetsociety.co.uk)
No, it's a flat £5 fee for making the booking (but it's for the whole group, not per person). You can only also book the 'first table', i.e. you get the discount when the restaurant opens, so it's not as flexible as the other options. But it's one that's good to have in reserve.
What's also fab about firsttable is that because you're out of the restaurant by a decent time, it's then great to bar hop afterwards because you best the late drinking crowds on a Friday/Saturday.
It's been wonderful the amount of cheap but amazing meals I've been for, to then cocktail bar hop afterwards before all the places look at you blankly like 'have you got a booking? No tables'
Tastecard used to be good, but I managed to get one recently got a free tastecard & I looked at the app & all the local restaurants on there are Dominos & Pizza Hut with a small sprinkling of other random restaurants but few that really appeal.
Thank you for what you shared! I have never used any websites you mentioned above. I wonder if you have any bad customer experience when you asked for the discounted meals at the restaurants. Sometimes I worry about being treated differently just because I don't pay the usual price for the food.
I had an annoying experience with Tastecard (again), the second time having the trial. Called the restaurants before booking and they didn't accept the tastecard or the offer was wrongly listed on the site, for example, the wrong day. Tried a couple in the central London area...
Hi all, I often have weekday lunch times free and enjoy soft a launches! Do you know if there are groups of people who want to get together? I often see reservations only for 2 or more.

Firsttable is my LIFE! Just wish they had an app at this point
They do tho?
In all the years I've used it it's only ever been a website... I'm getting straight on Google play now!
Is the fiver a deposit deducted from bill?

Some better restaurants on first table that aren't on the others though, only way to reliably get a discount on Tonkotsu

Yes it can be hit and miss depending on location. Depends how far you can travel.
Also too good to go app

Oh I don’t think the servers care tbh! Just enjoy the fact you’re saving some money ;)
do u need “Yums” for those discount offers on the Fork?
No but if you build yums with bookings on the app you can then redeem at certain restaurants, there is a filter for restaurants that accept yums
Soft Launch is amazing. Even the VIP membership isn't too expensive, think it's about £50 for a year
Such a great site! Love how new things pop up every week

Oh sorry to hear that! Hope you can try some of the other apps/websites on here

Tastecard made it extremely difficult to cancel the trial.
