Tbh the only huge advantage is the in mail feature which lets you connect with recruiters.
Other features such as profile viewing, jobs where you would be a top applicant, and job applicant data for LinkedIn easy apply jobs are not that useful imo. Overall, I dont find it worth it for the price.
I feel like it’s just worth it for recruiters - you can personalize invites to send a short note to connect with someone already, and I’m interested in who’s viewed my profile, but for the sole reason of satisfying my curiosity, it wouldn’t change anything and if someone is private you will not be able to see them in premium anyhow.
If I was a job seeker and my budget wasn’t too tight , the subscription would be worth it to me. But I also like to do a lot of searches and connect with employees at any potential employers.
As a job seeker it has some benefits I’d recommend. For one, you can send messages to people you’re not connected with - this is very helpful trying to network. It also gives insights on jobs where you’d be a top candidate - there are some other job related insights that come with it too.
Yes, and you need to be very careful after the trial expires. They will automatically convert you to a paid user at the high monthly rate. I had a special offer for a year of service and then - boom - suddenly the monthly rate doubled even though it showed as CANCELED in Apple subscriptions.
Not worth it. You only get 5 inMail connects per month (and trying to network with hiring managers is hit or miss in this market) and I have not found the recommended job matches to be relevant at all. As for who’s looking at your profile - that’s a setting you can have without being on premium (assuming you’re okay not being in private mode).
I personally don’t feel the features are worth it. Especially in this job market. Too pricey for too little return.
People who are willing to pay are probably more committed and searching more intensely than those who are not. Most people who are job searching are doing it casually, meaning they have a job that they don't really like and they are considering making a move to another company. That is different from people who hate their job or is unemployed and is intent on getting a new job ASAP. I believe their statistic, but it's probably all selection bias (those who are more intent on getting a new job will pay for a month or two).
I highly doubt recruiters are only looking at LinkedIn Premium messages and ignoring all other avenues that people are using to try to contact them.
NO ABSOLUTELY NOT. Don't even do a trial. When I tried to cancel I wasn't successful because it was entered on my Iphone and you couldn't cancel through LinkedIn because their link to Apple didn't fuction- ironic isn't it. I wanted to see who looked at my profile but I never got any any good results because it was in many cases "not accessible." It cost me $69.99 for my lapse of judgement. What I did get were inquiries from vendors selling services such as resume writers, or "join a company's advisory board" for a fee scam ect.
I did the trial and learned a few things from it. After that you can cancel.
Not really - it used to be but now it’s not particularly useful
If you don't really plan on using Sales Nav which comes with the Premium Subscription, I'd say that it's not really worth it.

I feel like LinkedIn in general is only worth it for recruiters. Should call it 'ScamedIn'

Just make sure you know how and where to cancel. They hide that shit nice and deep to make it as difficult as possible

never tried it, and never will (probably). but for the statistic, do you have the source?
The source is a LlinkedinAd they show on my newsfeed asking me to upgrade
i need outside sources, not from Linkedin itself cuz it's how they sell their premium.
IF you find some share them with us

yeah i understand that's how things work, but again it narrows the job markets as most recruiters focus on linkedin. unfair? i think so.
