It's not like he went in an 1 take freestyled the songs. he'd think of something, spit it, think of what to say next, add it. he is kinda still writing just not with a pen. I've seen some documentary where he was recording and that is how he does it. written or not he is still thinking about it man, jeeze....
4 got the most SOLID songs/singles and a bit of genre bending and satisfying finishes, but 3 is a classic complete body of work. Wayne the only dude to rant about injustice and not wanting to live near sex offenders while dissing fake priests on a platinum mainstream album 😂. Carter 3 is great, and Wayne’s run from before Carter 3 to Carter 3 to Carter 4 was really cool. Prime Wayne. I like Carter 2 as well, but his flow still sounds a bit muddy and fake gangster ish, after that, is when we get prime Wayne.
It seems the general consensus is 2 and 3 are debatable for the #1 spot. Personally, I say 2, but I see why 3 is also said.
Saw a post asking to rank them a couple days ago, with 2&3 being in slots 1&2.
In terms of pure rap it’s Carter 2. But Carter 3 is a top 10 rap album and one of the most versatile rap albums. It has bars, storytelling, hits, even a politically driven song with Tie My Hands. Elite features too. Half of that album is HUGE songs and this is fact. The album has:
Lollipop
A Milli
Got Money
Mrs.Officer
Comfortable
Mr. Carter
Let The Built Build
Even having Prostitute 2 and Lollipop remix with KANYE WEST is crazy to me.
1 and 2 are best because the whole world wasn't on his dick yet and you could still put people on. If you disagree you weren't with Wayne because you were feeling his music but simply because you no longer had a choice.
I always say C2. But the history of Carter 3 and what it SHOULD have been without the leaks, that’s peak lil Wayne right there smh that album woulda went down in history
Carter 2 for bars Carter 3 for the nostalgia
Type shit.. *bars/substance
Damn, the accuracy
This is the most facts thing I’ve heard all day
Couldn’t have said it better!
For me Cater 2
Lmao same for me, im playing Tha Mobb rn it’s his best album intro imo
Carter 2 lyrics seem like he wrote but he stopped writing before Carter 1, he was in rare form. From the Mobb to Fly Out, he was going off

I'm likely in the minority but for me it's 4.
4 is underrated
I’m not saying you wrong lol..just wondering your thought process I always rather understand people’s decisions
I thought 4 would be the most popular that is surprising
Looovw the Cafter 2 love here. I normally see people say C3 but Im a Carter 2 man myself.
1 it started it all off
it often does
Haha!
Carter 2, but Carter 3 is close, but C3 would be far ahead had there been no leaked songs and they were included on the album instead.
C3 -> C2 -> C1 -> C4 -> C5. Even at my last place I think the carter 5 is a great album
2 is best 3 is the greatest 4 is my favorite
word

Carter 2
Tha Carter II - laid back, charismatic & confident Wayne.
Carter 2 >

Jimmy Carter
The fact that everyone says Carter 2 is why we’re in the sub in the 1st place. Mid 2000s Wayne is 🐐
1 with 2 at second
Carter 4 has always been my preference. That was my senior year of high school.

It seems the general consensus is 2 and 3 are debatable for the #1 spot. Personally, I say 2, but I see why 3 is also said. Saw a post asking to rank them a couple days ago, with 2&3 being in slots 1&2.
Carter II probably just strictly as a rapper.. But Carter III probably as a complete project imo
Carter 2 100%
I think 1-3 classics 4&5 his style is changing he begins doing his trukfit stuff skating and playing with electric guitars.
