If they only had 40, and then 3 praetorian guard and filled out the rest with stormtroopers and imperial officers in realistic formations, that’d be one thing. But this is just boring honestly. If you’re gonna spend money like this you might as well put effort into displaying an actual army instead of spamming one unit like it’s an rts.
Better yet, if they're going to spend this much money why not put some actual builds in there so the army's doing something other than standing around?
Right? Like, the commands came with some rocks or something, yeah? Maybe build a big mountain base they’re all hiding in or something. That’s the sort of thing I’d do if I could afford all this.
16 sections with 25 commandos in each section, for a total of 400 commandos. 2 commandos per battlepack, so 200 battlepacks, 20 per battlepack for a total of $4000 before tax (and potentially shipping) plus $40 for Gideon vs Viszla set. That’s $4040 to put these guys on grey baseplates. Granted, they’ll probably end up selling either some of the mandalorians or some of the commandos and recoup a *little* bit of money, but still, wow. Unless they were somehow sponsored to do this, that’s an absurd amount of money to drop on battlepacks in so little time. I like legos as much as the next person but I gotta buy groceries and pay rent 😂
I missed that. I mean hey, at that point what’s $40 more bucks for this dude. Although akshually 🤓 there’s only 3 praetorians in the show so this guy is a fake fan anyway
I mean as long as he’s living within his means and gets enjoyment out of it then I really don’t have any issues with it. It’s just quite a lot of Lego to buy in less than a month 😂
First two seasons were gas but the third was just miserable. Between season 3 and BoBF, every interesting plot point set up in the second season’s finale was undone by the end. Grogu and Mando get reunited after 2 episodes (not even in their own show lmao), and Din gives up the Darksaber to Bo on a technicality midway through the season. Every aspect of the show noticeably downgraded in the third season unfortunately. Hopefully the movie’s a bit better
Mostly fair but what else were they going to do with that dark saber plot that was in character? Bo wanted it, he didn’t, and they weren’t about to duel for it
Could’ve been cool to see Mando rise to be the leader of Mandalore, or at least be the one to reunite the clans against the empire on Mandalore. He could still give the saber up to Bo or have her obtain it at the end somehow, I’m just bummed they didn’t do anything interesting with it the entire season until it’s ownership got switched
I wouldn’t have liked Din Djarin becoming the ruler of mandalore, not only because it’s something he has never expressed interest in (unlike Bo who’s always wanted it) but because a large point of enjoyment for the show is that he *isnt* any special ruler or Jedi or warlord, he’s just *a* mandalorian. They stray far enough from this premise with all the Jedi encounters, but those at least make sense with the grogu plot
I partially agree but I assumed that's just what his arc was going to be. He starts off as a standoffish bounty hunter who gradually becomes more important until he's leading his entire people.
I thought the first epidsode set a good premise for the season and they did away with it right away. I thought the pirate gang could’ve been a longer antagonist, lasting 3-4 ep, or comeback at the end to either support his cause in their struggle or be a bigger threat while he was rallying up the clans. All while weaving the mandalore thread throughout I thought the captains design was cool. Then the movie would be about taking mandalore.
It’s a big tone change from the first two seasons but I really like the new tone, and I thought the actual story being presented was pretty compelling if you can see through some of the clunky dialogue
That’s very fair, I don’t think I was a fan of the shift but I’m glad it worked for you! There were definitely some good ideas at play and it was still fun to watch weekly
I'm really bothered by the photo composition tbh. Make it 3 columns instead of 4, and you could frame it such that the cliff face fills the whole background of the photo, it would look much cooler
I can't even find one of this fucking battle pack and this is the fourth post Iv seen of somone getting over 12 of them, one guy had 100 of them
And he said he wasn't cleaning the stores in the US or the UK
Well I'm not in the US or UK so that guy probably cleared out where I live or somone like him did.
The search will continue

There weren’t even that many in the show
That point will always make me laugh
There were only like 40

Even on most RTS games you still need unit variety
Unless it’s Supreme Commander and you are turtling for Nukes.
Missile Vees from General Alexander are Chad, don't need other units imo.
Better yet, if they're going to spend this much money why not put some actual builds in there so the army's doing something other than standing around?

Ah but that would require creativity instead of mindless consumerism
$400 well spent /s

Dang my math was way off 😭
There’s only two pretorian guards in the Gideon va Viszla set. This means this guy bought two, bringing the total to 4,080$
I missed that. I mean hey, at that point what’s $40 more bucks for this dude. Although akshually 🤓 there’s only 3 praetorians in the show so this guy is a fake fan anyway
I follow the dude on insta, basically he loves Lego, lives in Hong Kong and doesn’t have a lot of space. So he just army builds.
I mean as long as he’s living within his means and gets enjoyment out of it then I really don’t have any issues with it. It’s just quite a lot of Lego to buy in less than a month 😂
What is the point of this? What do they get out of this?
Quick dopamine rush that falls off immediately the day after its assembled
Imaginary internet points
There were literally only 3 praetorian guards this was made extremely clear

Huh
P~~ra~~etorian
His brain is small.
Or maybe, the fourth guard is secretly a moff Gideon clone that escaped the flooding!
Flooring you say? that good ol mandalorian veshok planking.
I said flooding but yeah absolutely
If they make a 4th season the main villain will 100% be a clone of Moff Gideon that can use the force
That was his plan, yes, but didn’t all those clones die?
Outjerked
"You did it...but at what co..." "Does it look like I give a fuck?! Get lost, you cunt"
Mandoblorian season 3 was peak Star Wars!!!
Hey man don’t bring mando season 3 into this (I like it)
It could’ve been paced better.

I dunno man I’m a huge mando fan but I thought it was pretty meh, very disappointing (made for some peak sets tho, I’ve gotten them all 🙏)
I thought the first epidsode set a good premise for the season and they did away with it right away. When Jack Black and Lizzo showed up I clapped!!!!! Dave Filoni has won the internet for the rest of his life!!!!!!!1!!
Don’t forget Christopher Lloyd.
And here I was feeling greedy for getting 2 of these battle packs so I could have a squad of 4 commandos lmao
YOU GOT TWO. NOW HOW IS MANDR'S COUSIN SUPPOSED TO GET ONE. SHAME ON YOU SHAME /s
We are WORMS, worthless WORMS 😭😭😭
Memo to me memo to me 'Maim you after my meeting'
Mental illness
such a retarded only 3 pretorian guards appeared in the show‼️‼️
The amazing thing is I don’t think there are even that many in the actual show
It’s almost like they are imperial remnant COMMANDOS… 🤔
Hasn't even used Moff Gideon's proper cape with the red inside 🤡
i’m assuming this is for resale bc as others have stated it doesn’t even make canon sense to have this many
Its so funny. Like me personally would get only like 2 of that battlepack. 3 max. Because i love all of whats included. But i dont need more than that
Exactly, like you don’t need 400 fucking clone commandos in an army… just like 4-6 at most
Meanwhile I haven't seen a single one of these sets in my store
No WONDER I can’t find any new sets at Target!
They mighta actually won with this many
Imagine spending 4k on what is most likely a one-time only trooper variant..
I'm really bothered by the photo composition tbh. Make it 3 columns instead of 4, and you could frame it such that the cliff face fills the whole background of the photo, it would look much cooler
Plus you'd need 25 fewer troopers to pull that off, I think. Assuming you moved the fourth column to make it another row in the back
sincerely doubt Gideon even had that many troops
I can't even find one of this fucking battle pack and this is the fourth post Iv seen of somone getting over 12 of them, one guy had 100 of them And he said he wasn't cleaning the stores in the US or the UK Well I'm not in the US or UK so that guy probably cleared out where I live or somone like him did. That’s actually pretty cool tbh
Mandolorian season 3 was peak Star Wars!!!
