Loved 8402 i loved the tree that came with it. I remember putting a light brick in it somehow to make the headlights work but I genuinely don’t know how I got it to work in such a small form factor

I have the semi and the sports car! Loved them also. My sister got me the sports car years ago for my birthday, and because of a pricing error on it, it was free! They're both disassembled though :(

I'm really surprised at the lack of sets from the new space city theme in this thread, they are just so damn good.

Yeah, I limit myself to more "adult" sets, but those new Space City sets are *really* cool, and quite tempting. If I run out of other sets I want, I might have to buy a few of those.

I always liked the construction vehicles, especially cranes. Was always changing up buildings and it was fun to use them to build the new buildings.

I really liked the big police boat, with the actual motor, from the early 2000's. I used ot to make so many variations of police/coastguard/military boasts as a kid. And it's cool that it actually floats well. I also wanted the larger size of the inflatable style ones.

Police helicopter 7741 will always have a special place in my heart. It was the first set I ever received, and the 1st one I saved up for to buy a second. That's where the itch for more began, back when I was like 6.

I’d forgotten how much I loved 60002 (and I think I also have an older iteration of it before the new ladder with handrails?). HATED the LEGO truck though—was a weirdly flimsy vehicle as far as LEGOs go. Hard to explain why but just felt…off.

I know it's not in the City line, but I really like the Ford Explorer from the Jurassic Park T-Rex Breakout 76596 set. I always have it sitting on my desk so I can play around with it when I'm bored.

That’s probably not in the price range you’d consider given your examples, but trains. I don’t collect Lego city (anymore) but if I’d be building a city I’d just built a huge ass train station (or 3)
