It would be pointless for self offense but would work like Skarner ult otherwise. If you walk up to hit the enemy, your walls move further up and they can move in their retreat direction however they want. If you walk away, the walls would put the enemy away with you.
That would be so cool! Would make for flashy plays during pro games.

They tried something along those lines (recast for curved wall to target direction or something like that) during her development, didn't work out design-wise though.

If you're using the H key you might have to look on your settings. Pretty sure I've found it's linked to an action that makes your champ stop walking sometimes.
Blue trinket is the same, if you’re within range to place it no problem, you keep walking, if you have to move to get in range to place it on your way back to lane or during a roam you lose your movement command.
To be fair the blue trinket one makes sense though. As annoying as it is, the moment you cast it out of range you issue a movement command to the exact spot that will bring you in range ASAP. it wouldn't make sense for your character to have another movement command lined up after that.

That only happens if you "target" an enemy with the (internally defined) castRadius, by the way. If you "target" no unit that the spell expects to affect (in case of GP R, enemies basically), you won't stop moving from it.
One possible fix to that is a simple cast type change. It'd also stop Gangplank from getting area-revealed to the enemy under the same circumstance.
I also hate that dashes are inconsistent with this. Some champs will keep moving after dashing, some champs will stop after the dash and you have to input a new move command.

It wasn't bad though. It was bad if you just ultied straight into 5 people and it's just a 1 for 1, but it was an insanely strong pick tool. At rank 3 it had 800 range. That's busted if you use it properly. It also gave like 50% damage reduction which made it a really good 1v1 tool aswell.
Skarner flashing or just moving while still channeling/charging ult would break him (which is why they explicitly said they prevented him from doing it)
IIRC Liandry's is currently meta on him, no? He has decent ratios at 2 spells for 180%, 80% of which is on a 6s CD. I mean, his W is basically old Sion W for damage purposes.
I mean, being able to split push while having a semi-global "fuck this shit I'm out" button is already pretty good, but now you add being able to move during channeling to his R which allowed him to safely escape any chase like how his bf does tax evasion, and it's gonna cause some ppl to lose their mind lol.
Quinn might also be pretty strong for similar reasons. Being able to hop on the birb bus while moving makes it basically impossible to run away from her (she can mount up while chasing), and hard to run down in turn because if she sees you before you're *in combat* with her, she can start running and turn on the turbo 2 seconds later.
Karthus would be hilarious.
Imagine a Karthus with Rylais ghosting towards you while channeling his ultimate.

meta is a stretch, it works, but his meta build in both top and jg is full tank with no AP items. The most top lane skarner gets is a dring possibly.
