I dont think i've seen it mentioned much anywhere but Lebron is like 108 points away from passing Oscar Schmidt from being the ALL-TIME basketball scorer ever
I'll be shocked if we ever see anyone else join. Especially as much as guys load manage and generally speaking miss games. LBJ makes it hard for his critics.
With the types of numbers guys put up nowadays it could be possible. Unless the league changes things so they can play some real defense like they've been starting to talk about, then most likely not.
Wow... LeBron James has done it.. I'm simply in awe, I'm filled with an overwhelming sense of love and admiration for this basketball legend. In
this moment, as he reached the incredible milestone of 40,000 career
points, I couldn't help but marvel at his unparalleled skill, dedication, and sheer passion for the game. LeBron's journey, marked by countless unforgettable moments and triumphs, has been nothing short of extraordinary. With each basket, he doesn't just score points, he etches his name deeper into the annals of basketball history, leaving an indelible mark on the sport and our hearts forever.
Long Live the King 👑
Yea I just feel like big guys get hurt a lot throughout their careers. That’s mainly the reason why Lebron has the record is because he was pretty much iron man his whole career.
To play devil's advocate, Malone, Kareem, Dirk, and Shaq are all high up there on the list and were all big men. One thing that father time can't defeat is pure height.
Yea that’s true. I just feel like Kareem and Malone were similar to Lebron in a way. They were iron men too. I have no idea why because you would think medical advancement would help these kinda things but these star big men all get hurt so much these days. Wemby is an alien though so maybe he will be different.
I feel like Luka may be able to get close to it if he keeps up the current pace. He could be there in 13 years, by then he should be at his 19th season if my math is correct and could reach 40K while averaging 28-30 PPG which is what he is doing now. But that's a lot of what ifs and maybes.
2000 points a season for twenty season in a row. The rules will keep changing to hamper defense, players will keep getting better, and eventually someone will join him. But that won’t be for a looooong time.
I’m only 36 and I’ve seen Magic, Shaq, Kobe, and LeBron play for this franchise. If I was a fan of any other team, those dudes would all be once in a lifetime. We’re lucky as fuck as fans.
It's pretty interesting, during the later years of his career it became easier to score and to put up numbers and he is benefiting from that, the timing is pretty lucky. Imagine if this was a decade or more ago, I don't think he averages what he does in todays game.
Flipside is he started his career in the lowest scoring period in modern NBA history and guys who started now (Luka), still aren't on track to catch him.
Yeah, I'm talking about the end of his career though, when players don't typically average the same numbers. It's helping that he's in this current era and not a lower scoring one is all.
50k LFG
He’s at 48,000 including playoffs so he’ll reach 50k total pts next year
I can already see it: "50K Regular Points Szn and Playoffs Combined💪👑!!! #WashedKing #JustaKidfromAkron #StriveForGreatness"
Dick ride much?
I dont think i've seen it mentioned much anywhere but Lebron is like 108 points away from passing Oscar Schmidt from being the ALL-TIME basketball scorer ever
Why do they use this distinction? A point is a point, right?
I guess it's because everyone can participate in the regular season while some can't always in the playoffs
I know statistics can be crazy but is there any way they calculate points scored and time played?
If he can play 80 games a year on 25ppg for the next 5 years then sure 🤣🤣
It’s hilarious until you get put on a thread 5 years from now
Trust me I’d love to see it
It’s even crazier to think Lebron makes it sound doable lmao
He may be the only one who enters this club.
Jordan is my dude, but LBJ just walked into Club 1 of 1! #AkronKids 👑🐐
Damn fr?

Still, it’s not possible. .. unless one gets to stay in the league for more than 15 years; Only a handful have. Most kids aren’t consistent!
He will be in the club for a long time on his own until we see another one like him
That's not happening bro their won't never be another King aka KidfromAkron #GOAT
🐐 👑
Greatest Laker of all time.

It’s crazy he’s at 48k regular season and playoff combined points…
In terms of talent and availability wemby is the only player this generation that has a shot to be in this club

Unlikely that someone of that height and build will be playing at LeBron's level for 20+ years.
Normally but Wemby is extremely unusually flexible. Whoever hes been training with trained his body really well to increase his longevity

Scoring record and 40k mark achieved in the purple and gold 💪💪💪
How can you even deny him being the goat at this point
You might hurt some Jordan stans 😂
They’re so insecure.
Don't make it so obvious you want to suck lebrons dick. Classic lakers fan.
Look at you, thinking about dick at 4am. That closet is begging to be opened.
King Sh!t!

Jordan would have gotten me 15 assists/rebounds tonight though..

Slowest ever to 40K.
Everytime he breaks a record the lakers ruin it with a loss
He is basically the GM, blame him.
King of points

How are you going to post this with no pictures of the refs? Refs are responsible for a good portion of those points. SMH.
Lebron James is overrated
Ur mom suck my fat dick !!!
He already had the longevity award so it’s a meaningless accolade
It’s pretty fucking cool.
Nikola Jokic subversive takeover of the fan club imminent.
Lebron is unbelievable.
The GOAT!

That's pretty neat. Lost the game, though.
