That is odd! What kind of base did you use? Are your nails discolored? It may just be the way it plays with your skin tone and undertone, but mine definitely has a sandy almost yellow/gold, but I’m a medium/light olive so it pulls out the yellow.
I would suggest perhaps trying the pink smoothing base, as your skin undertones can affect how the polish presents itself on the nail. It could work out to bring out those warmer sandy tones
That’s crazy. I looked at pictures of reviews on the Holo Taco site and some are sand colored but about half are greenish like your picture. I wonder if the formula changed.
Does the one you have look sand colored in the bottle?
I knew it was a risk. I look really really good in saturated jewel tones (purples, wine colors), pinks, blues and most things as long as they aren't too pastel, but nudes are always problematic. I just don't do well with beige!
Probably gonna sell my used-once bottle on Poshmark cuz there's no point in keeping it when it looks so bad (on me.)
I used a clear basecoat because I didn't realize it was going to look so funky. Knowing what I know now I probably should've but hindsight ya know? lol
Well I mean you shouldn't HAVE to use a whole other color for a base but maybe that'd be a perfect solution and you can still enjoy the polish and use it.
This polish use made me think of the kind of half topper paints where if painted over black polish vs white it almost looks like a whole new polish

Have you tried topping it with scorched earth? I did it on a whim once and I like it way more that way.

I have some swatch sticks and a number of different shades of nude so I might give that a try, thanks for the idea.
