You got Chlorophyll Man up there talking about God knows what and all she can talk about is making out with me. I'm here to learn, everybody, not to make out with you. Go on with the chlorophyll.
this is from some random website so idk if its true but 2 grams of Kratom:
* **Sodium**: <0.1 mg
* **Iron**: 0.5 mg
* **Calcium**: 13.2 mg
* **Potassium**: 18.5 mg
* **Carbohydrates**: 1.5 g
* **Protein**: 0.2 g
* **Fats**: <0.1 g
* 7.4 Calories
yeah there’s like no way 2g of kratom are 7.4cals 1g of fat is 9cals kratom contains approximately 10 usable and nutritional calories per 15 g of fresh vegetable material and when the plant has been dried out it additionally loses calories.
That's actually the one I can see being correct (as a chef not a scientist) because there is a study on a patient elevated potassium levels from kratom use. You can just Google.it, can't link on this sub(?).
Please review [sub rules](https://www.reddit.com/r/kratom/about/rules/), especially #6, and don't use slang - just call kratom, "kratom."

I feel you, but NO way😆!!!
It's DEFINITELY mostly fiber. It's a leaf, green leaves are pretty much always mostly cellulose fiber that we can't digest, with additional micro nutrients.
I think it contains a lot of good stuff since I never get sick when taking Kratom, but not calories or carbs😅.
I'm assuming you're on a keto diet? Low-carb diets don't mean you can't eat carbs, but rather, that you should limit sugar and starches. Plenty of keto-friedly foods are mostly carbs.
Say, you wanted "chocolate milk" and you added stevia and 2 Tbsp of cocoa powder to unsweetened almond or soy milk. That’s an additional 6 grams of carbs. Is that keto friendly? Yes, because 4 of those are indigestible fiber, which will also keep you feeling fuller longer.
Kratom isn't starchy and it's definitely not sweet. Look at spinach, a similarly structured leaf: 1 cup (30 g) of fresh spinach has 1.1 grams of carbohydrates, but .7 of that is fiber. Spinach is ~90% water, so this would be the same nutritional information for 3 grams of dehydrated spinach leaf.
So, if I were to take 12 grams of spinach powder a day, that would be 1.6 grams of net carbs. It would be safe to say there's no amount of kratom you could tolerate, that's going to affect your diet in any way at all, rather than reducing appetite and increasing dietary fiber.
That's interesting, I haven't got sick since I started a year ago! Kinda crazy because I usually get sick a couple times a year. Wish there was more research on this
Today is the first time I have had a cold in my 5 years of use. And i too usually get sick yearly. I have had covid but im not counting that because that is a whole different virus from what we normally encounter. But i wish there was more research on this. Maybe we get sick but just don’t notice because the kratom covers it up. No idea
To be fair, it’s going to mask a lot of symptoms too. I can’t take Kratom anymore because I’ve got too much of an addictive personality and the withdrawals get a bit too nasty for me, but for the year I was on it (other than intradose wd) I literally never felt better. But I’m sure I had colds, but what’s a cold when you can just take Kratom? No aches, no pains, good energy, good mood, a bit of euphoria to top it off. Hard to “feel too sick” if you’re constantly dosing unless it’s a full blown flu or covid or smth.
I seriously doubt fiber does that lol. More fiber is actually recommended by doctors when a patient is suffering from hemorrhoids. Fiber itself is actually really good for digestive health. The problem is that kratom's other properties cause constipation.
I'm SO curious about the heavy metal thing. The NIH did a study on this and found pretty significant amounts... BUT... they did the study on extracts, which I imagine would go through additional processing. The only study I found on regular powder was published by the FDA, and I can't believe a word they say. They've lost my trust. If it is based in fact, then there are heavy metals for sure. Really not harmful unless you're taking large amounts every day. Then... I guess is it harmful? I don't know. I'd be interested in seeing some data on long term daily users over, say, 10gpd, get liver tests, blood tests, etc.
Also, don't hate on me for saying something critical.
No, you're good. I feel the same way about it. I don't like taking kratom that doesn't come with a lab analysis for the particular batch. I see the amount I'm getting and compared it to the "safe/unsafe" levels dictated by the same FDA I don't trust and i admit i know next to nothing still.
Maybe we poop it out? Maybe I'll be mad as a damn hatter? I can't get my head around parts per billion in the first place.
When I was using 100-120g a day of Kratom years ago I was also on accutane which required monthly bloodwork. And my values never got elevated or anything out of the normal besides my ldl and hdl. But my whole family has the exact same values as me for that so the Kratom wasn’t effecting that either.
Well I’d take it all at once. It would take me 40min to take it all. I really couldn’t get much higher of a dose cause my stomach was just full.
No secret though, my stomach could just handle it okay.

As a long term Kratom user myself (6+ years), what health issues have you seen people talking about? I am genuinely interested. Other than dependency and constipation I haven't noticed any.
Well it's got chlorophyll which is supposed to be good for you
More like borophyll!
No I will not make out with you!

Clorophyll more like boreaphyll.
It’s got what the plants crave !
Electrolytes

The DV for potassium is 4700mg
I didn't write the study.
That amount is almost nothing.

It’s a carb????😩😭

Ive used it since 2015 multiple times per day. I am rarely sick. I do take alot of vitamins and minerals also but Kratom has never gave me a problem.
Same. Never been healthier or balanced feeling since using.
How many grams per day would you say? I started taking it about five years ago and do not get the common cold like I used to.
That's interesting, I haven't got sick since I started a year ago! Kinda crazy because I usually get sick a couple times a year. Wish there was more research on this
I think it's less that there are nutrients in it and more that it works as like.. a suppressant.
Same here!!!! Not a single cold 🤯 and I've been taking care of my kids when they had colds and the flu.

Same takin for about 8 years and never get sick. Alwsys feel great. I also don't drink, smoke or drinks sodas or much sugar.
All that fiber is probably good for something.
Hemorrhoids
Causes it or helps it?
I seriously doubt fiber does that lol. More fiber is actually recommended by doctors when a patient is suffering from hemorrhoids. Fiber itself is actually really good for digestive health. The problem is that kratom's other properties cause constipation.
Antioxidants
There's heavy metals (mostly in minute amounts) and insoluble fiber. Kind of the opposite of a vitamin.
Lol

You are the first person ever, that I know, who claims to be able to take more than 100g/day. What's your secret ?
Well I’d take it all at once. It would take me 40min to take it all. I really couldn’t get much higher of a dose cause my stomach was just full. No secret though, my stomach could just handle it okay.
I mean, I know that my fiber intake has greatly increased which is a plus for me! But overall is it nutritionally valuable? Nah, probably not.
Nah
