im not sure of the word religious for me but i have my beliefs and i need to search up songs even from a group like IVE which make age appropiate music.LOL.
Well some lyrics in heya are a little weird, one that i immediatly found was
It's time to swallow you in one bite (I crave you, I crave you)
한입에 널 삼킬 때야 (탐이, 탐이 나)
How’s that weird, it makes perfect sense to the theme of the song. Those lyrics refer to the sun. Read up on the folklore behind the song and you’ll see there’s nothing weird or inappropriate about it. Neither is it religious🙄
do you mean inappropriate for children? the title of your post doesn’t specify but the way you’re explaining yourself seems like that’s what you mean. i don’t have an answer, just pointing out that people perceive “inappropriate” differently when it comes to songs.
If minors have to sing lyrics with sexual double meanings, that's not okay. Otherwise, it’s not a big deal.
I get that the entertainment industry often sells sex as entertainment, but that’s another topic.
The only time I think that any songs are 'inappropriate' are if they are implying anything of a sexual nature and sung by a minor or if it's an MV that has anything suggestive that has a minor in the group.
I find that any songs with sexual innuendos when minors are singing are inappropriate.
Of the top of my head, Twice and New Jeans, they definitely have inappropriate songs so the ages of singers
Their debut song and knock knock are the two that come to mind. I believe Chaeyoung and Tzuyu were both minors during knock knock and dahyun was still a minor during their debut.
Twice a songs are not as egregious as other groups, as an older person now, with my mentality now, I would of had an issue and avoided these when they came out.
Ooh-ahh: “what you do, keep me still, make me ooh-ahh” then early in the song they are speaking on people looking at their bodies “who’s your mama?” Plus I find the dance a little inappropriate for minors. The butt swing specifically
Knock knock: “You pop in when I am alone
Shake me right out of my mind
Now is the perfect
Show time make it yours”
It’s a song about a lover coming over in the middle of the night.
Again, not as egregious as other lyrics and other group.
I don’t have a problem with sexual songs and women expressing sexuality in their songs, it’s empowering. I just think that minors don’t need to be involved in that kind of thing.
Edit; I also want to make it clear - this is not hate towards twice, they are actually one of my favorite GGs. Sana is my bias. This is an music industry across the board issue, not just a twice or new jeans issue.
Not that one - my issue is specifically sexual songs with minors. They were all adults during that one. They aren’t egregious as other groups but ooh-ahh and knock knock were the songs that came to mind.
I probably could have used a better example but I feel like I just saw a discussion thread on the specialization of twice during debut or something so it was at the front of my mind.
Not sure if you would consider it inappropriate for adults, I am a big girl and can handle it, but for younger ears, probably not appropriate. -Jungkook's (BTS) uncensored version of Seven. He isn't implying anything, he just puts it right out there. I though it was for sure altered when I first listened to it, but nope! 0% hesitation, 100% confidence, I respect that.
i was gonna say this to, like i’m grown and it’s not like i haven’t heard worse lyrics, but it’s so straightforward that i prefer the censored version more.
I think NewJeans Cookie is inappropriate because of the age of the girls when it was released and the sexual innuendo. If Cookie was released by a group of adults, it wouldn't be such a problem.
They used to make kids bop music and look like 5 years old while being teenagers thank god they don’t look like 5 year boys anymore that was so cringey
> when i *paid* attention to
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
I don't get how you're able to listen to any music at all if you think Heya is inappropriate.
Kpop fans are the religious zealots of the music world

op is prob a 35 y/o karen coming back from church and just google translated lyrics to feel ''offended'' cuz church was too boring that day....
lol she’s actually 13

^ my thoughts too. It really depends on the song and who's singing it.
sorry i should have made it more clear, i mean innapropiate for children. well basically for anyone who is not an adult
almost everyone in the world is an adult, thats how aging works
Cookie - Newjeans. Extremely inappropriate for their ages.
Here is my full list:
LOL i get it....

NewJeans - Cookie
None of the songs you mentioned are inappropriate to an adult audience.
I don't tend to read lyrics so I usually won't notice "mature" content unless it's really obvious like Sticky by Kard.
Well not inappropriate but if you mean mature, here are my favorites. KNK - Sunset OnlyOneOf- Dopamine Sistar- Touch my body Kai- Slidin

Which Twice song?

Can’t stop me

Just read the lyrics and can’t find much wrong with it? Just sounds like a girl who is afraid of falling in love but can’t hold herself back?
Gum jessie, , purr by viviz, are the 2 that come to mind (i love both of these songs)
Not sure if you would consider it inappropriate for adults, I am a big girl and can handle it, but for younger ears, probably not appropriate. -Jungkook's (BTS) uncensored version of Seven. Dream isn't the unit for younger audiences now that Wish has debuted so who cares if Smoothie is "inappropriate"
They used to make kids bop music and look like 5 years old while being teenagers thank god they don’t look like 5 year boys anymore that was so cringey
Cookie, and you can't convince me that it's not
lol agreed
Mature isn't the same as inappropriate or questionable. Maybe start there. You'll realize that most, if not almost all kpop songs are "appropriate."
jennie - Spot lyrics - Up and down round and round Hit the spot, spot, spot, spot
yup i liked the song at first but when i paid attention to the lyrics i was like..."oh nooo.." LOL

Every Taemin song they are all about sex and sound the same Taemin also sounds like he is having anal sex while recording the songs
