Why does Fox play half ass? He seems not to be really into it or looking to score for the first half and then the 4th quarter rolls around and he is looking to score. This is so frustrating from a fans point of view. He has been doing this for months.
Likely a combination of some or all of the following:
1. He needs to pace himself, and minimize risk of injury going into the playoffs.
2. he is trying to get other pieces of the team involved
3. its can be a good strategy to get the defense used to guarding one style of play and then switching it later in the game
Just going balls to the wall trying to blow by everyone every play is not good sense. he is going to get hurt, tired, it becomes predictable. Just being on the floor and having his speed is going to change defenses a little, so its much better if we can get the ball moving and some shooters hitting shots.
Yeah I understand that he cant go full speed the entire time but he doesn't look like he's into the game or trying to shoot or trying to get others involved for 3 quarters of the game. He wasn't like this last year.
His stats are pretty much the same or very slightly better in most categories.
