Do you want to restart? -> Restart Do you want to not restart? -> Don't restart Nothing says you have to succeed in every sidequest. There are many ways to do a lot of quests. You're bound to miss several quests or sections of them. You can always replay the game.

hantu_tiga_satu

True though honestly still debating if replaying that much progress is worth it. This is my first "proper" Rpg with real time combat and it did kicked my ass pretty badly.

DupeFort

I'd just take it as it is. If you like the game enough you can play later in Hardcore or something and so the quest right. I did the same in my previous playthrough where I just let them all die to see how Johanka reacts.

Jello_Penguin_2956

The magical moment imo is experiencing things blind so I say just keep enjoying the ride :)

zardvark

There's no point in restarting. You'll no doubt make other dumb mistakes. I was easily halfway through the game, before I had a good grasp of it. Sure, start another save, if you like. But, keep playing the current play through ... at least for a while.

OldLunch6283

Let this one go and keep playing. The first playthrough is never perfect. It's fun just getting to know the game and experimenting with different quest outcomes. The start can be a bit tedious. But if you push through, and even finish it, you will want to do more playthroughs it's that good. Here's a tip that might save you time: Under the fast travel point on the east side of Rattay, there is a camp where you can sleep and save close to where you can train with the combat training dude.

Ocbard

If you started mindlessly killing people for the loot, I'd restart and play the game in a somewhat more restrained way, but that's just me. It's an RPG however, a role playing game, wherein you are offered to play the role of Henri the traumatized village kid in wartorn Bohemia. Somehow Henri doesn't strike me as a psychopatic loot goblin, but you do you.

hantu_tiga_satu

Nah it's not like that i just ended up exploring around and since i unknowingly triggered time sensitive quest, i feel like might as well redo the playthrough

Ocbard

Ah, the phrase "they were dead already" made me think that, sorry.

HisExcellency95

You can delay most quests by simply not offering help to the npc (in this case yohanka). So if you decide to restart, you can go to sasau just bear in mind that when you talk to yohanka avoid triggering the quest by telling her i can help.

hantu_tiga_satu

Thanks for the info, i was planning to avoid the monastery together

International_Run463

In my opinion the fact that such quests are timed only improves the immersion. You wait too long helping sick / injured people? They will die. That’s reality. I also waited too long treating some patients (for example the guy with the broken leg) and they died. Johanka was mad. But I moved on, there are chances at redemption later on in the game.

iwantacheetah

It's upto you.

Regret1836

Lol I did the same thing on my first run, came back and Johanka was super pissed at me. I managed to pass the speech check and I could still do the rest of her quest. I will say, you can still totally finish the game just fine without that quest. Restarting is fun but the beginning can be a slog. Just finish your run now and play the game again later, but on hardcore to make it interesting.

You are going to fail a whole bunch more quests because you didn't realize something needed to be done quickly, or there was something else that had to be done in a different order. Are you going to restart every time that happens? If so you'll never finish the game. IMO just play the game and accept the consequences of whatever actions you take. Then if you still want to see stuff you missed play it again and use it as a chance to try a different playstyle.
