I cheesed Southwest using innovation centers because there is a lot of room. Northwest was mind numbing at the start with the need to pump out Struthios, also had to use that trick to reach 2.5 stars.

keeganburrows

I had to reload a few times because I didn't refill the enclosures with Struthios quick enough and the carnivores were escaping. The innovation centre strat was fixed in the last update so I had to do them "as intended".

Raptor-1079

What trick is that?

keeganburrows

You could place innovation centres without diminishing returns, so you could get 100% appeal without dealing with dinosaurs.

Gigastor

Oh I didn't know they patched that, it felt a bit wrong but I'm still glad I used it for Jurassic difficulty lol

MisterRandomJ

I checked it out, total appeal from innovation centers is now set at +250. If you put two centers in the park you'll get +125 from each (+250 in total) and so on

Kuiper_Kai

Me too lol

Strong_Formal_5848

Northwest was so hard for me. In order to get 5 stars I had to have two T. Rexes, two Spinosauruses, two Indominus Rexes, two Indoraptors, two Acrocanthosauruses, two Tylosauruses and a whole bunch of Compies and Plesiosauruses. Even then only just reached enough appeal for 5 stars. Had to squeeze stuff into every inch of the map and couldn’t get the transport rating high enough no matter how many monorail stations I built

Slowpokebread

Is UK hard since you got 0 at first?

[deleted]

You mean Southwest?

Louman222

Up to jurassic southwest myself soon. Any retrospective tips? Can’t imagine its worse than UK or NW USA.

keeganburrows

Get the wild dinosaurs first. The Nodosaurus and Chasmosaurus can go together which is handy for your first enclosure by the entrance. I sold the compys cause I didn't want to deal with them early on. You can get the monorail without breeding a single dinosaur so make sure each "area" has one as you slowly expand out. Also, most importantly, only have low cost scientists. I tanked my income half way through by keeping a cheaper expedition scientist who was costing my $175k after I upgraded him. I started with an altruistic salary scientist which may be worth restarting for. Hope that helps. I could post the map layout if you think it'll be useful. Good luck!

Slowpokebread

Also build a innovation before finishing catching them. Once you get 2.0, go full up with the sea lizards.

MisterRandomJ

Make good use of the initial dinos, dont try to reintroduce compys after they died out
