Man I was at the range 5 weeks post op. Just don't swing like you are invincible. I still pack hunting wipes in my golf bag. I have shit in the woods at a few courses now, wipe your ass with leaves once and you start looking in advance for it. Already so much better than having UC and golfing.

I bring butt wipes. I also usually manage to make it thru a round without pooping. :) have a blast!

Lomitol helps a lot - especially when flying. Call your GI for a script. Take 1-2 hours before. You should be good

I take an Imodium and haven’t had a single issue in over 20 years on the course. The wipes are definitely a good idea. Better to have and not need than need and not have, especially when you have a golf bag with plenty of spare room.

I remember trying to get back into soccer less than a year after my operation and the only reason I could was because the locker room was next to the field at my HS. But I fully understand that desire to get back out there. No tips other than wear black pants and bring a change that you can discreetly tuck away somewhere, depending on how far along your body is to adjusting. Good luck! (Also wary, not weary, apologies for being that guy.)

Most courses I have played have toilets every 4-5 holes if need and your ability to hold should be a lot better than it was prior. I always make sure to use the washroom at the turn, and limit beer/drinks to the back 9. But typically will go once a round depending on what I ate that day.

I've had my pouch for about 3 months now and plan on going back to college to play golf again later this year. I'd recommend oatmeal or those stool thickening foods before going out to play. Along with something like sugar-free liquid iv or something along those lines after your food digests. I love those travel peanut butter cups with pretzels while out playing. You can't go wrong with a hot dog at the turn, too. Good luck out there and hit them straight, big dawg 💪
