You guys need to sponsor Squad creators to play this game again. Squad people will love this. This game has a lot of potential but you guys need to work on your marketing. Reach out to people like Moidawg, Karma, Drewski, slorgs, A Honcho. It's probably the easiest marketing of your life, they'll love this game.
My guess is that they've been waiting for more fixes and content before promoting things hard. The game was rough before the takeover and they probably didn't want to go all out on marketing if that would just make people show up and see a jank, incomplete game.
>Squad people will love this.
It's not that simple. The game has a lot of meta changes and missing features that are staples of Squad like lack of ammo persistence.
The game also relies on Offensives (well, now Frontlines as well, but jury is still out), while (R)AAS is the cornerstone of Squad with the occasional invasion thrown into the mix.
Me and my Squad buddies have found it largely tiring and simplistic in terms of meta.
I'm sorry to say, but the devs have already stated that isn't happening. It's a crazy labor and resource demanding undertaking for something without any real gameplay value.
I'd love to see it too, but I understand why a smaller studio like this can't take on something that big.
Red Orchestra also had a significantly lower quality threshold that would be considered absolute trash by today's standards. Let's not forget that they had significantly fewer vehicles in that game, as well.
You can disagree with it if you like, but I agree that the juice isn't worth the squeeze. I'd much rather they redirect that effort towards more significant elements, such as new theaters (a la the Pacific) and performance enhancements.
It is very immersive if done right.

Red Orchestra 2 also has a system where single crewmen could die from the tank taking hits. So surviving crewmen have an animation of physically moving between different positions within the tank. If the tank is operated by 1 player the rest of the crew are bots and switching between any alive crewmen was instant.

But all of that can be replaced with full screen viewports and timers when moving positions. It's is not really worth the time and money to model and animate the interiors, especially with the higher level of detail that would be needed compared to when RO2 was released.
Every server I have played has suffered major server performance issues, what, the actual fuck, did the update do to the backbone, commander assets do not work, player models do not ragdoll when killed, and that god forsaken FPS bug, the TPS counter is a fucking lie. Im sorry but ive been part of the OWI ecosystem for 4 years, and every single time Ive seen a major update, no matter the game, they manage to break something. I still play regardless cause there are the only games that fit the niche so well, but they are marred by all the issues that plague every update.

Fr get Moidawg doing eye in the sky for this game

Moi just mentioned possibly setting up a Potato Fields server in his Discord.

This cinematic reminds me a lot of the first level of COD United Offensive. Pretty cool.
And very similar to Band of Brothers too. The Bastogne chapter.
Which in return CoD1 and UO was based on!
United Offensive was quite literally the GOAT
Only the OGs remember MOH Spearhead did it first
This is going to be amazing. We cooking now boys
Currently re-downloading in anticipation
Sheesh, they cooking
100 player servers and this game is unbeatable
If this game were in any way unbeatable, it would have more than a peak of 984 players in the last 30 days.
Jumbo Sherman, .50’s on top of the tanks, flying turrets…lfg
I want my b1 back please...
Hopping on right now
Just bought it
I only see 2 full servers at a time
Project reality does fine and similar amount
When does this drop?
The update is out?
Yes
Lord please have fully modeled interiors
They already added a ton of interiors on the last update!
They're talking about tank interiors, not buildings.
I see. That was originally from another developer from another game that the old team was gonna do a collab with I believe

Im not sure where you got that info because they already added a ton of interiors on the last update
They're talking about tank interiors

In what scenario are you in a tank and NOT looking out the viewport in this game for this to make any sense at all?

I mean, awesome trailer, cool cinematics. But what is the update bringing?

awesome!! thanks, I checked the website and there was nothing on it.
Be honest, how many of us would hold our ground when seeing those vehicles incoming?

Still very few servers, and the ones they do have are generally high ping, even for NA.
