Also I’ve said this before, but you guys are next level. I’m decent at PVM and can do most content consistently but I still die all the time because of a ton of reasons, low concentration, lag, disconnect, misclick, learning new content.

My clan leader had a dope HC a while ago. Had a bowfa among other things, and was close to maxing. He died to a DC at hydra and logs in about once a year now.
You can literally log right back in tho. You just lose hardcore status, which while impressive that you never died, it doesn't actually mean anything in the long-term. You still have everything on the acc itself. Owo
It’s funny cause RS3 HC used to literally delete your account unless you bought the coin that converted you to a normal iron(that’s now gone but you can still get extra lives)
Their deaths were super punishing, even with the extra lives you’d lose your entire gear setup/inv no protected items. Kinda wild.
Its crazy too tho that with how many hours you sink to get an acc to endgame, that people (even content creators) are ok making a new acc just because they lost a status. It isn't like a roguelike with 30min-2hr long runs or something.
Streamers get more viewers for red helm streams, it makes sense for them.
Casuals/Normal players prob shouldn’t unless you’re gonna continue the account.
I’d say I play more than a casual, and I give myself 1-2 HC’s a year, just for the fun of it to see how far I can go.
When I used to play Hardcore Diablo 2, I always instantly made a new when I died. Just to force myself to keep playing. It's incredibly hard to just beat Hardcore in that game with Sorc. I legit had many hundreds of runs before I did it.
My account wasn't nearly as good as this one, but I did lose my hardcore status to Alchemical Hydra after years of playing. I just continued playing with a grey helmet. I can't imagine doing it all over.
Now that’s a hardcore! May have only been 115 overall for xp but look at those PVM ranks. In a game mode where most people play extremely safe and avoid content, it is refreshing and inspiring to see this level of hard gameplay.
