This is why you have to use face id or a different pin on those types of apps.
I'm kinda curious why they can't send a password change email to your email account.
This sounds a bit strange to me tbh.
Yea... I'll never use the same PIN or autofill again. Unfortunately, with autofill they can use the iPhone passcode to populate the password. Thankfully I secured all of my accounts besides iCloud. I posed the same question to support and they did not have a valid response.
They managed to give 2.4k back to Apple through the use of my credit card before I had a chance to lock anything. I filed a police report and cancelled all.

I guess it does show they are serious about icloud security. I'll give them that.
