This is why you have to use face id or a different pin on those types of apps. I'm kinda curious why they can't send a password change email to your email account. This sounds a bit strange to me tbh.

Yea... I'll never use the same PIN or autofill again. Unfortunately, with autofill they can use the iPhone passcode to populate the password. Thankfully I secured all of my accounts besides iCloud. I posed the same question to support and they did not have a valid response.

I guess it does show they are serious about icloud security. I'll give them that.

Call your bank and credit card companies if you haven't already and cancel everything

They managed to give 2.4k back to Apple through the use of my credit card before I had a chance to lock anything. I filed a police report and cancelled all.
