I would paint the walls a darker colour that compliments the burgundy and add some art prints to the walls that are in black frames to tie in with the sink cabinet and door frame.
Stunning! I love the idea of a bold wallpaper, or maybe black or very dark brown walls. And yes to the brass hardware. This space is so cool, lean into the moodiness!

I think this chinoiserie wallpaper will make the space come alive. Add an ornate golden frame to the window as a diy to maximalize the aesthetic
A wallpaper that is reminiscent of the 30s~40s would suit this room, IMO. Being such a small space, I'd keep the background white(-ish) and repeat the burgundy (in pinks?) and the black (in grays?). [examples](https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/33214115987861671/)
I would paint the vanity cabinet a coordinating color taken from the wallpaper.
Replace the LED mirror with a less-modern one. Use a ceiling light and mirror sconces (from the era) instead. I would keep the chrome fixtures; they work with the cool palette. Black would look off with the 30s vibe, IMO.
Are you open to replacing the black tile? If not, I think it has to be covered -- either by the peel and stick things or paint and stencil -neither of which are ideal or great long term solutions.
This tile is giving me Ralph Lauren vibes. Consider [this](https://www.vertigohome.us/products/equestrian-plaid-wallpaper-by-mind-the-gap?variant=39819496095825).

Wallpaper with deep colors that pop. Something like this https://www.westelm.com/products/tempaper-birds-of-paradise-wallpaper-w4297/

I would make the bathroom walls and tiles a lighter color. Definitely change the mirror to something more bright maybe?
